Multiversal: The Shop

Chapter 120: Android's Hope 4

-A2-

A2 never scolded anyone as harshly as she did now, but considering what could have happened if the two important beings were gravely injured or worse killed, her reaction was granted.

Now the shorter android and a larger female construction was kneeling into the ground while having their hands lifted in the air.

It wasn't really something that could hurt them, it's more a disciplinary action than anything, besides from the limited knowledge she acquired about humans, punishing disobedient children like this is efficient.

Although, she wasn't sure if it's as efficient toward androids, but either way she wouldn't let them go unpunished.

After a while, she said to her subordinates. "Now, your actions almost made you the enemy of android kind, if it weren't for the fact that the two of them are a 'special' kind, there's no doubt that the two of you may forever stained your hands with a great sin that would forever haunt you."

The two of her subordinates looked confused at her statement, which was something she could understand and doesn't really blame them for acting like that.

They might think of her as overacting, but once they know that truth there's no doubt that they would understand where she's coming from.

Then suddenly the shorter android spoke. "Ummm…ma'am, if you don't mind me asking, what exactly do you mean by 'made us the enemy of the entire android kind'? I thought those guys were your enemies and we helped…but from how you reacted it's obvious that they aren't, so who are they exactly? Are they someone important?"

A2 let out a hum at that question and thought. '9S really does ask the most important questions huh…'

After that, she looked at the two of them with a serious expression and replied. "To answer your question 9S, yes they're important. Extremely important to the android kind that once they knew of their existence they would no doubt worship the very ground they stand."

The two of her subordinates looked at each other in surprise, while also trying to understand A2 words, however it didn't take long for the scanner to understand what she was implying, making him gasp in shock and couldn't stop himself from standing up as he realized it.

"A2! A-are you saying that those two are…?! N-no, it can't be! That's impossible! The data from the bunker clearly stated that..!" The shorter android couldn't stop himself from grasping his artificial chest where the heart lies.

His female counterpart, however, was surprised by her partner's reaction, she wasn't as smart as him, but it doesn't mean she's stupid for him to act like this…

It could only mean one thing and 2B couldn't believe it. "A2…are they really…?"

A2 nodded as if to confirm their assumptions. "Yes, they are in fact 100% humans."

Hearing that, both of them are in complete shock, after all unlike White, who basically lied to their faces and kept a very dark secret from them for how many years.

A2 on the other hand, was someone who disliked lies and the fact that she confirmed that these people are indeed human, they immediately believed her.

While they completely believed her, it wasn't the same for their pods, while limited in intelligence, knowing that these two people who were right beside them were humans, they immediately started scanning both of them.

And the results were exactly the same as A2 personal pod scan results from earlier, hearing that confirmation.

The white haired boy burst into joyful tears, knowing that their creators still live! Right in front of them in flesh.

However, after knowing that. The little android paled or at least imitated being one, as he recalled what A2 said earlier.

"Oh my god, w-we almost killed the humans! W-we attacked them!"

The shorter android was having an external crisis of his previous actions, while the other one wasn't as worse, she's still reeling from the fact that she almost killed a human.

After all their very being was to serve and protect the humans, it's their life, their duty and the very reason why they were made.

To think they…almost killed a human, who is essentially a god to them, was shocking.

A2 knew this would happen, but their reaction was way more than what she expected, but then again, they worked for Yorha, a group of human obsessed androids, everything they do is for humanity or at least what they believe, then after the revelation about human extinction.

Most of them deserted, that's because they don't have anything to believe in anymore, despite knowing that their fanaticism toward humans didn't change at all.

A2 was just an exception mostly because she thought that the 'Council Of Humanity' which she believed were humans betrayed her and her team at the pearl harbor incident, and branding her as a traitor which made her impression of humanity to decline, at one point she truly hated them.

However, after the dirty secrets of Yorha were exposed she realized that the 'Council Of Humanity' was nothing more than a fraud, consisting of nothing but androids and no humans at all.

Her hatred of humans was unjust, but the damage was already there, she wasn't as devoted to humans as before, however she still respects them greatly, but nothing compared to the borderline cult-like fascinations of Yorha.

"Calm down both of you! What happened won't change, being guilty doesn't help you at all, that's why you two have to make it up to them with your lives, serve them to repent for your mistakes!" As if a great revelation descended.

9S and 2B became clarified at her wisdom and then with the most serious look they could muster they said. "As we should."

A2 was greatly satisfied with the conviction of her subordinates, and then finally looked back at the humans behind her.

Who was giving them an odd look, however she didn't really notice. "These two will serve the two of you, please do not hesitate to ask anything to them and they will do what you ordered with the best of their abilities, that also includes me."

"What the…"

"Fuck." I couldn't believe what I've witnessed, did I just witness the birth of a cult?

If it wasn't bad enough, it was a cult dedicated to Himmel and I, even though he's a bit disturbed by this. I know their primary function is to serve humanity, but this is ridiculous.

Now the androids were looking at us with eagerness, waiting for our orders. If I knew this would happen I wouldn't have suggested going to A2's world for the 'battle'.

But regardless of my regrets, this is the outcome and I have to live with it and that's why…

"Let the world know that we exist."

"I can't believe you said that." Himmel who sat right next to his elf fiancé at one of the long chairs near the counter said.

"What do you want me to do? It's better for them to have something to do rather than those androids following us anywhere." I said as I leaned at the counter.

"But, for you to say that…do you even think about the consequences? Those androids literally worship humans like a god, and by the way I'm the freaking hero that killed the demon lord and people worship me, but even they aren't crazy enough to start a cult about me!" Himmel said in frustration.

"Hm? Something interesting must have happened while you went to that world." Frieren finally listened as she put down the grimoire that she was reading recently.

"Yeah, something happened alright." Himmel replied to his fiancé with a sigh.

"Don't think too much about it, after all what's the worst thing that could happen?" I shrugged and waved it off as something that isn't worth thinking of.

"If it does, I'm totally blaming you for it."

And it did, but I wouldn't know it till later, but for now I remained clueless.

Flamme finally arrived at the shop, but this time she wasn't alone and was with a company.

It was the younger version of Frieren, who was a thousand years younger than the current version of Frieren.

The two of them are looking at each other's eyes, while the rest of us we're looking at their appearance despite the thousand year difference. I could confidently say.

"They look exactly the same, except for the clothes, she barely aged at all." I pointed it out.

Even Himmel who was more familiar with Frieren, couldn't tell any difference between their appearance, however there's a massive difference on how they carry themselves.

"Anyway, I heard from the owner that you guys are now engaged, congratulations I would never have thought it would happen this fast. It wasn't even that long since I gave my advice." Flamme was surprised, but it was a welcome one.

"Thank you, master." The older Frieren smiled at her master.

While the younger Frieren was confused and couldn't really understand the concept of 'love' but regardless of not understanding it herself, she was interested in the guy who her older-self 'loves' and wondered if she would be able to experience it herself.

-Emiya-

"Emiya…kun..? Y-you're alive..? H-how?" Rin Tohsaka, Emiya's former girlfriend, looked at him with a haunted look on her face.

She looked really different compared to the last time he saw her, it looked like she barely even takes care of herself.

But despite that, this was his Rin. Not anyone else, but from his world.

With a wry smile, he replied. "Well, if you let me in, perhaps I could explain."

A/N - Next chapter is going to be about Emiya in his world.
