Multiversal Manifestation System

Chapter 33: Chapter 33 - New powers

Standing in the center of the massive crater he had created, Wang Zi called forth his status screen with a mental command. His body was still recovering from the massive energy expenditure of his earlier Shinra Tensei, but his anticipation outweighed the fatigue.

Name: Wang Zi

Class: Artist

Rank: SSS (Compatibility: 100%)

Level: 16

Talents:

[Inhuman Reflexes]: Reaction speed increased by 50 times.

[Ultra-Mind]: Grants perfect memory, enhanced comprehension, and control over the body.

[Uzumaki Blood]: Increases physical stats, emphasizing stamina.

[Elemental Affinity]: Able to control mana of the five basic elements.

Basic Stats (average human = 10):

Strength (STR): 118

Agility (AGI): 74

Stamina (STA): 116

Intelligence (INT): 288

Wisdom (WIS): 293

Luck (LCK): 20

Wang Zi couldn't help but smirk as his eyes scanned his newly inflated Intelligence and Wisdom stats, each raised by a staggering 150 points.

"As expected," he muttered to himself.

"The Rinnegan isn't just some ordinary power. Its connection to the soul, the essence of life itself, is bound to enhance my understanding and mastery of mana and everything else."

He mentally navigated to the Rinnegan's abilities, now fully unlocked. A vast array of powers greeted him, each one an overwhelming testament to the eyes' might.

Rinnegan

Deva Path (Tendō):

Primary Ability: Manipulates attractive and repulsive forces at the user's will.

Shinra Tensei: A powerful repulsive force that can push everything away from the user, from individuals to entire landscapes.

Chibaku Tensei: Creates a gravitational core capable of pulling nearby matter into a massive satellite-like structure.

Notes: Can cause immense strain on the user if overused.

Human Path (Ningendō):

Primary Ability: Extracts and absorbs the souls of living beings.

Applications: Interrogate targets by reading their minds during soul extraction. Strengthens the user's soul and enhances their Rinnegan powers by consuming the extracted soul.

Notes: Direct contact is required for soul extraction.

Asura Path (Shuradō):

Primary Ability: Grants mechanized enhancements to the user's body for offensive and defensive purposes.

Applications: Create additional limbs, faces, and weaponry from mechanized parts. Fire explosive projectiles, launch missiles, or unleash chakra-powered blasts. Temporarily augment physical capabilities with mechanized armor.

Notes: Requires significant control over mana and the user's body.

Preta Path (Gakidō):

Primary Ability: Absorbs and nullifies mana-based attacks.

Applications: Drains mana from incoming attacks, restoring the user's own reserves. Creates a defensive barrier against elemental and magical assaults.

Notes: Limited absorption capacity based on the user's stamina and intelligence.

Animal Path (Chikushōdō):

Primary Ability: Summons a wide variety of creatures to aid the user.

Applications: Summon creatures with unique abilities, such as flight, tracking, or powerful attacks. Each creature is bound to the user and follows commands instinctively.

Notes: Summoned creatures draw a small amount of mana to sustain their presence.

Naraka Path (Jigokudō):

Primary Ability: Grants access to the King of Hell, an entity used for interrogation and restoration.

Interrogation: The King of Hell can forcefully extract truths from a target by consuming their soul.

Restoration: Restores damaged or destroyed bodies of allies by consuming life force or mana.

Notes: Overuse can drain the user's vitality significantly.

Outer Path (Gedō):

Primary Ability: Presides over life and death.

Rinne Rebirth: Revives the deceased at the cost of a massive amount of mana and vitality.

Chakra Chains: Bind and control the actions of targets, including summons.

Notes: Revival is extremely taxing and risks the user's life if not properly managed.

Special Abilities

Limbo (Rinne Kūkan):

Primary Ability: Creates a shadow of the user that exists in a parallel dimension (Limbo).

Applications: Limbo shadows are invisible and imperceptible to all but the highest sensory abilities. Shadows can interact with the real world to attack or defend on the user's behalf.

Notes: The number of Limbo shadows is dependent on the user's intelligence and mana reserves.

He couldn't help but focus on one new addition in particular:

Limbo.

The signature ability of Uchiha Madara, Limbo allowed him to create a shadow of himself placed in an unseen dimension - a void untraceable by anyone without powers equal to or exceeding the Rinnegan.

Despite being tired, Wang Zi couldn't contain himself and tested out this ability.

"Limbo!"

A shimmering distortion rippled beside him, and a shadowy figure, identical to Wang Zi, emerged. The shadow didn't glow or shimmer like a typical clone; it was like a piece of the void itself had materialized into reality.

The shadow stepped forward, silent and unassuming, yet Wang Zi felt its immense power radiating through their shared connection. He instructed it to strike a nearby boulder, and the shadow moved with blinding speed, shattering the rock into dust with a single blow.

"Only one for now," Wang Zi murmured. "But it's enough. With Limbo, I can fight battles without ever exposing myself... Hehehe."

His thoughts drifted further. If Madara's ability was unlocked, then perhaps with enough SP, he could gain abilities like Kaguya's portal creation, Sasuke's Amenotejikara, or even the Rinne Sharingan itself - the apex of ocular power.

"I already have Naruto started," he muttered, his eyes gleaming with ambition.

"I'll need to invest more time in it. The Rinne Sharingan is very useful, and clones could be really gamebreaking aswell, especially if shadow clone works like in the anime."

DING!

As he mulled over his plans, a sudden familiar sound rang in his mind, accompanied by the system's cold, mechanical voice.

"Hidden Quest Completed: Unlock a binded template to 90% completion or more."

Reward Unlocked: Complete Integration of Binded Template

New System Ability Unlocked: Targeted Manifestation."

"Hidden quest...?" Wang Zi's eyes narrowed in curiosity, reading the description that followed.

"Your powers are no longer tethered to the original character. They are now uniquely yours. Experimentation, innovation, and mastery are no longer restricted by the limitations of the source world or character."

Wang Zi's lips curled into a slow, unsettling grin. "So, I'm not just replicating Nagato's power anymore. I can go beyond it."

"Makes sense, he didn't have Limbo after all."

"And a new system ability..."

Targeted Manifestation

Description: The Host can now bind templates or manifest abilities onto others. Templates must have a high compatibility rate with the target for this ability to function. Compatibility will vary based on the target's personality, looks, class, traits, innate potential.

Wang Zi's smirk deepened as he read through the details. This wasn't just a minor ability, it was game-changing.

"I was wondering if I could raise enough money to get myself a base for my future team... Looks like MMS is going to start selling something nobody expected, haha!"

"System, I can use the MMS store in the Virtual Brain to sell these right? I'm sure I could have Hua'er browse candidates for templates for me, and abilities should be fine to sell since they don't have such harsh conditions..."

"That is possible Host."

"I'll do it master!" Hua'er showed up on top of Wang Zi's shoulder and shouted excitedly.

"Okay, I trust you, my little assistant!" Wang Zi just smiled. If there was anyone he could trust in this new world, it was his little assistant, and of course the system.

"I'll need to get the word out for this, I'll set myself up as just having received some help from the mysterious owner of MMS.

This will also help me explain Sun Breathing to the outside world. Perfect."

If he could bind templates or grant abilities to others, the potential for forming his ideal team was no longer restricted by the limits of summoning. He could find people he trusted in the real world aswell.

"If I can bind abilities to others... imagine creating a team of Hashiras, Uchiha, or even Saiyans."

He rubbed his chin, thinking further.

"Compatibility is key, though. It's not as simple as picking someone and sticking them with power."

The notion of testing compatibility intrigued him. If the system could scan for compatibility like it did for him, perhaps it could also unlock hidden potential in others.

"That's for the future anyways. Now let's get some scouting going while I rest shall we? Can't say no to all these free souls after all, one can never be too powerful."

As Wang Zi said this, he weaved signs with his hands, so fast one would have thought he had practiced them for years.

"Nagato's seals huh. Nice.

Summoning Jutsu!" He shouted.

POOF!

A strange diagram of lines suddenly showed up on the ground, before smoke came out from its center.

When the smoke cleared, a weird looking gray bird with three legs and a huge beak showed itself.

"Scout the area," Wang Zi commanded mentally, already linking his vision with the bird's through the Rinnegan's shared sensory ability.

The crow let out a low caw and launched itself into the air, its powerful wings slicing through the misty gray atmosphere as it climbed higher and higher.

Not one to leave himself unprotected, Wang Zi followed up with another summoning, silently calling forth a chameleon.

The massive reptilian creature materialized behind him, its body instantly camouflaging with the forest. With its innate stealth and protective instincts, the chameleon crouched nearby, its tongue flicking out to taste the air as it guarded its summoner.

As Wang Zi focused his vision through the Yatagarasu, the scene it revealed was both awe-inspiring and grim.

The bird's incredible flying speed carried it across varied terrain at a pace that would make any normal scout jealous. The dense forest stretched on in every direction, but here and there it gave way to barren wastelands and jagged mountain ranges.

Everywhere the bird flew, chaos reigned.

Mutated beasts, driven berserk by the gray mist, clashed violently with one another. Their shrieks, howls, and growls filled the air.

Scattered groups of human contestants fought for survival amidst the carnage, their struggles playing out like tiny, desperate battles. Some wielded impressive mana abilities, cutting through beasts with skill and precision, while others appeared to be barely holding on.

Wang Zi's attention was caught by a chilling detail: whenever a human or beast fell, their souls rose into the air as faint, glowing wisps.

They didn't linger. Instead, they streaked purposefully in the same direction, toward some unseen destination deep within the Dome's world.

"Hmm. Looks like the so called safe death is no more huh. Whatever is gathering souls doesn't discriminate." Wang ZI pondered.

This confirmed Wang Zi's suspicions. People were dying for real. The teleportation safety mechanism was either broken or deliberately disabled.

The Yatagarasu's flight carried it further, and Wang Zi's vision eventually locked onto a familiar figure: Lucius Jaeger.

Even from high above, Wang Zi could see the golden genius in action. Encased in his meticulously crafted armor, Lucius moved like a machine of war, his weapons firing bursts of mana-infused projectiles at the frenzied beasts surrounding him.

The precision and power of his attacks left no doubt as to why Lucius was regarded so highly.

"Looks like a wanabe Tony Stark with his iron man mark series armor huh. Pretty cool!" Wang Zi was very interested in the flying armor, even though it would probably not be of much use to him. It seemed fun though.

What surprised Wang Zi, was how Lucius seemed to notice the Yatagarasu, despite it flying at an altitude that should have made it practically invisible.

"Hmm," Wang Zi muttered to himself, his brows raising slightly.

"His perception is sharper than I expected."

Further ahead, Wang Zi found another familiar face: Xian Mei.

Her composed demeanor remained intact, even amidst the chaos of the battlefield.

She floated slightly above the ground, her psychic abilities forming an invisible barrier around her that deflected the beasts' frenzied attacks. With a casual flick of her hand, she crushed a trio of beasts into a grotesque ball of flesh and bones, hurling it into the distance without so much as a flinch.

"Hmm?" Suddenly she frowned, and looked up.

To Wang Zi's surprise, Xian Mei seemed to sense the Yatagarasu long before it came into view.

Her piercing gaze shifted upward, locking onto its approximate location in the sky. She didn't appear to see the bird itself but instead seemed to feel its presence through her psychic attunement.

More intriguingly, she hesitated while standing over the corpses of the beasts she had just slain. Her head tilted slightly, her expression thoughtful. Wang Zi realized that she could sense the souls leaving the creatures' bodies, though she couldn't see them like he could.

"She's sharper than I gave her credit for," Wang Zi muttered, a small smile playing on his lips.

"Though I bet she doesn't know what's really happening."

Wang Zi's gaze shifted back to the bird's perspective, allowing the Yatagarasu to continue its reconnaissance. For now, the chameleon stayed close, coiled around the tree trunk in perfect camouflage, its sharp eyes and quick tongue ready to strike at any threat. Wang Zi felt more relaxed now.

"Let's see how much chaos this Dome is hiding," he murmured to himself.
