I. Cronos and Kaguya needs to find new job from Alice. Kaguya bought herself some ammunations as well as a Reflex Sight for her Cobra. The Reflex Sight seems to have come from an advanced era as this is well made. Its red dot will help her shoot more accurately.

Rabiane shows up and said, "Bless you." Its some sort of greeting since Rabiane is a religious nun so Kaguya also said, "Bless you too." Cronos nods in response. Rabiane looks around and said, "I can't help but feel worry about this place. There is just no faith. All of them indulge of cardinal sins."

It is true that the people in Jam Rock do whatever they want, but they pretty much earned this place thanks to Simmon's persistent raids to find supplies for everyone. No other brave bastard would explore the dangerous battleground like he does.

"I noticed sister Kaguya is using numerous staves. How are you casting spells without mana?" asked Rabiane as she looks at Kaguya's Cobra with curious eyes. Kaguya's eyes widened from confusion. She looks at her Cobra and think if it is what Rabiane is talking about.

Cronos said, "Its a weapon called Firearm. Its a delicate weapon assembled with parts and components that makes it. And there is no magic as there is a part that resembles a small hammer that strikes the back of the resource called rounds that feeds the gun from its compartment called magazine. When the round is struck, the round explodes and propels a projectile called bullet that is stuffed on the round cartridge. This particular weapon Kaguya uses can fire multiple bullets in quick succession and every empty cartridges gets ejected so the new round can be chambered to be hammered again." Rabiane did not understand Cronos' explanation whatsover. She just awkwardly smiles and nodding.

"How about you Rabiane. Where do you stuff your weapons?" asked Kaguya. Rabiane puts her hand together and makes a prayer under whispered breaths. Something fades in out from the air. It is the blue sword Rabiane wields. Kaguya is shocked. "H-h-how?! What?! What is this?!" asked Kaguya trying to rationalize this. Rabiane felt the same way before when she thought Kaguya's guns were magical staves.

"I'm a sister of faith in a mission to cleanse this cursed land. Though city may be a better word than a village." said Rabiane explaining her reasons why she is fighting. Her mission is to eliminate the curse of the land. She somehow got here instead of her destination but she felt that this world had suffered the same fate so she is willing to help defeat the enemies of the people. "I believe God led me to this place. The miasma from the west is as black as plague that distorts God's children." said Rabiane. An ideal nun with deep faith for her doctrine.

Kaguya felt envious, as she doesn't even have a purpose due to her amnesia. She muttered, "What should I do...?"

II. "Let's head to the Cinema." said Cronos. Kaguya and Rabiane nod and they follow him. It took a little while until they reached the Cinema where all Rock Gang and Local State Police affiliates gather for the briefing. The briefing is about the incoming invasion of machines down south. Alice is the one with the microphone telling the details of the briefing.

Alice shows them a map where the war against machines. The streets will be in favor for the Rock Gang. They will use the streets to navigate from areas to areas to defend Jam Rock. The snipers from Local State Police will assist the ground force against flying enemies.

The Outpost must be created in the designated spots marked with the red cross inside a circle. These Outpost will serve as watchtowers, as well as supply camps where their forces can replenish their resources. Eva's Faction, which is now called Trade Association, are responsible for providing upkeep for the defensive group as well as assist when able.

The total troops Jam Rock defenders have are 127. Just about 1/3 of the total population of Jam Rock residents, most equipped with guns. There are some heavy looking thugs wielding Bren Machineguns. These gunners can mow down enemy lines under heavy pressure according to Kaguya. Their role is Suppresors. Anything that moves within their sight, they will unleash streams of bullets to prevent them from moving forward. Since the enemy are machines, they won't bother taking cover and they will charge to their end.

Guards are led by Simmon Brock personally. They are equipped with various bashing weapons as they are facing metal enemies that don't bleed. They are responsible of pushing enemies back. This is where Cronos will be assigned as he has experience as a Frontliner. Kaguya will be in rooftops providing overwatches and Rabiane will be joining the Combat Medics from Trade Association to aid those that need medical treatment.

To protect their home, everyone will have to give their all for this defense. They must not let one machine get through the defensive line.

III. Scouts confirmed the arrival of the first wave of machines. They are just the heavy hitters not accompanied with drones. Simmon hears about this and told the gunners to halt their fire. He cracks his knuckles and his neck and wears the iron knuckles. Simmon takes a deep breath and then shouted, "Lets go boys! Screw them fuckers up!" The shout gave the melee troops morale and they charge to face the machines.

They take advantage that they are more agile and shorter than the machines. They team up to effectively scrap one enemies altogether quickly. Cronos worked together with two other hard hitters, Morlow and Saul. Morlow is a thug wearing tank top while Saul is the one wearing sweater. Morlow wields a sledgehammer while Saul is wielding a steel door. Both of them work respectively, Morlow being the attacker while Saul being the defender. Cronos takes note of this pairing.

Cronos takes out the machines' mobility by striking their source for flight, their magnetic thrusters down below. This will make them fall so Morlow can easily use his strength and the sledgehammer to destroy the cores. Saul assists in case the machine in question explodes due to overload of electricity. More enemies are arriving but thanks to Simmon's commands, the melee troops have low injuries. He assigned three men group effectively. One group that consists of one Thug, that finishes off the enemy, Guard, that protects the Thug, and Assistant, that assists the two.

IV. The Scout confirmed the approaching second wave. This time, there are drones and the attack has been split between left corner and right corner. Simmon commanded the melee groups to fall back and ordered the Guards to form a defensive wall. The drones come up first and they begin blasting shots. The laser shots made the shields melt if they are made from organic materials, such as padded shields or tire shields. Those using such ended up either dead or injured. The first 10 casualties.

The Local State Police begin their overwatch. They are shooting every approaching drones they see within their line of sights. Since they are trained shooters, shooting drones weren't a problem for them. One bad news, the drones noticed their presence and they are commited to attack them. The sandbags provided were able to block of the laser shots. But it didn't stop the drones from hovering over and shoot them dead. The Local State Police were no fools though. They retreated the building and the drones started to give chase.

But the moment the drones fly around the buildings, most ended up stuck in the air. Suspended for some reason. The answer lies by the use of the space anomalies that Alice had mapped out. They are smart to use the invisible space anomalies as traps. They cannot be detected by the drone's AI system and their actions are commited so it didn't take long before all drones that chased the Local State Police ended up being non-functional. An effective plan in case the defensive line faltered.

Once the drones are dealt with, the Local State Police assume their roles again and begin covering for the ground units. Casualties is still low. About 12 out of 127 fighters.

V. The Scouts confirmed once more that there are more machines charging towards them. This time, they are facing a new type of machine. A slow but mobile tankers. Their front armor are very though that normal rounds are not effective against this unit.

They are extremely slow but they move in a line. Providing defenses to those that are behind them. Simmon couldn't help but laugh. "Everybody! Let's rock and roll!" ordered Simmon with a raised fist. The Trade Association begin their assist.

The runners from Trade Association deliver crates full of EMP grenades. A grenade that can deal massive damage against electronic enemies. The thugs begin pulling pins and throw them over the tankers. Their hobbies of playing basketball and baseball helped them throw it far and accurately on point.

Each grenades landed behind the tankers. It blows up repeated electrical charges that is enough to jam the machines' electrical components. From above, the Local State Police throw dynamites to the electrified machines. Each dynamite explodes and tears off or puts dent on each machine parts that render them non-functional.

After all, the machines are just crude amalgamations of machinery. It don't stop those that don't use electric components but just enough to halt their movement.

The casualties are none this round. 115 abled fighters remain on the battleground.

VI. Machines are now delivering serious firepower. Their ground units are now capable of utilizing cover and their mechanical rifles allow them to shoot back. These machines are smaller than the big ones and their frame is similar to a human's skeleton. It is an intense shootout.

The thugs with melee weapons were just sitting ducks. It was idiotic for them not to carry secondary weapons such as a handgun like Cronos does.

Cronos is using his P2050 to shoot against the machine riflemen. EMP still does the trick but the machine riflemen had alot of cover to use because of all the disabled machines that were riddled down. They certainly didn't think that the machines had a strategy in mind to send out baits with the first, second, and third wave.

About 24 soldiers died from being shot. They eventually defeated the fourth wave thanks to the covering fire from the Local State Police.

Few are worried that machines will still arrive. It takes a while before the Scouts confirm the incoming last wave. It is a mix up of all the machines they had faced.

VII. Something about this wave is different from the previous waves. The machines, even the big ones, are starting to use cover to hide from gunners. The drones are now focusing attacking the Local State Police. That meant, rendering them incapable of providing Overwatch for some time.

Simmon sees that the machines are getting smarter. "Everybody! We are men! We don't let the bastards outsmart us! Stand up! Let's fuck them up!" ordered Simmon with inspiring shout. All thugs that heard his order got their ego boosted. They begin retreating to the Outpost to get their weapons changed. Its a warfare.

Cronos is taking the advantage of his speed to move across the battlefield to take flanking positions and destroy the machine riflemen. This led some thugs who are confident with their speed do the same thing and flank them. Because of the split attacks, the machine riflemen got confused where to shoot. They focus on charging straight in line but they are disrupted by Cronos and the fast thugs.

Try as they might, they need to get out of cover to aim their rifle, which Cronos takes advantage of and shoot them while they weren't looking. The big machines give chase to the pesky shooters. They forced the fast thugs to retreat except for Cronos who uses the space anomalies to his full advantage in the buildings. He can move through that space just fine.

Eventually, Cronos successfully dispatched the machine riflemen, making the fight favorable for those that fight in close range. Simmon charges ahead and let out a warcry which inspires his men to do the same. They all charge to the machines and begin their assault. The Local State Police finished warding off the drones that kept them busy and assists the ground units with covering fire. Kaguya and Rabiane joined the frontline and helped Cronos clear the remaining enemies.

Those that are injured are dragged back by the Trade Association where Rabiane tends the wounds of those are injured together with first aiders.

Kaguya using her Shadowstep to move in quick and finish off every machines she can find. Her athletic abilities allowed her to not get hit.

The fight continues until they defeated all the machines in the area. The Scouts confirmed there are no more incoming waves of machines.

VIII. It is disappointing that there is no sun that gives everyone the sense of victory. Well Simmon just climbs on top of one of the tanker machines and shouts out loud to get everyone's attention.

"To all my friends! Thank you all for all your hardwork! You all deserve the finest drinks at Fiasco Bar! Men, women, even cats and dogs if there is any, will have a celebration all day! Let's us cheer for those that fought will all they can! And remember our brothers and sisters that died! All of you! You're all heroes of Jam Rock! Raise your fist up! Shout out all your names and tell yourselves that you are men! Even women! Tell yourselves that you are men! I, Simmon Brock, am a man!"

Everyone did what Simmon wanted. Men and women shouted their names and call themselves men. Some were too shy, some are shameless. Even some started to strip their shirt off and wave it around like a flag. The Local State Police were just baffled to see them screaming and stripping.

IX. Simmon Brock, Alice and Eva organized a celebration at the plaza near the Fiasco Bar that Simmon mentioned. Butlers and Bunny maids are serving drinks and snacks and the Jockers are rocking pop musics that makes everyone want to dance. Everyone is going nuts as booze makes them drunk. Simmon even gave them free coupons to use so they can use services from his Love Hotels.

The Local State Police are relaxing. Feeling the classy feeling of holding a glass of vodka and wine, they felt nostalgic. Of course the donuts. Creamy glazed donuts which apparently made by a resident that bakes pastries. They saluted to Simmon for saving that resident. Donuts is life as they said. Clodia can be seen only wearing tank top and pants and she is just pole dancing to lose some stress. The Police are hyped and joined the dance which attracted customers for the bar.

Kaguya is enjoying the party. She can be seen having hamburgers that she always wanted. Its a hamburger loaded with beef patty, juicy tomatoes, cheese, and loaded with mayo and ketchup sauce. Its not really a signature burger because they are no greens but its is still a burger that she wanted to eat.

Rabiane is holding a funeral for the ones that have been deceased. She blesses them and prays that they will be reborn as better people with better life in a better world than the present. She took most effort to do this which inspired some to help, especially if the people have relationship with the deceased. They thanked Rabiane for her kindness. The thanks make Rabiane happy.

Cronos is sitting just outside Jam Rock, counting the stars. "This world is so wrong..." he said. Anomalies are everywhere. Dangerous monsters, both mechanical and biological. He felt something wasn't right and he couldn't put his finger at the tip of his tongue. What is exactly wrong? He couldn't come up with an answer.

Kaguya finds Cronos alone. "Are you alright Cronos?" asked Kaguya. Cronos replied, "Do you think everything is real?" Kaguya instantly replied, "I think not. This wasn't as dangerous from back before. I remember the first time I encountered dangers, I ran, I fought, I even killed people just to protect someone... I felt something in my life is missing..."

What is missing in Kaguya's heart? Amnesia is an annoying malady to have. Cronos felt the same. He couldn't remember his past. But his body remembers. He remembers how to fight.

He lifts up the Parallel Chronoblade. Its powers is a mystery. There is a sense that tells him that he needs to recover its power before something bad happens.

Cronos shrugs it off. Kaguya has something in her hands that is wrapped in paper. "Take it Cronos. Its delicious." said Kaguya as she hands it out. Its a burger. Cronos doesn't really need to eat but the taste, even if its little, makes him feel human. Takes a bite of it and smiles. "Thank you, Kaguya." said Cronos with joy. Kaguya is happy to receive thanks.
