I. You cannot tell what time it is without an alarm clock since there is no concept of daytime nor nighttime in this messed up anomaly. They wake up by the loud echoing noise from teo alarm clocks that are on top of the dresser for each bed. Kaguya complains from the buzzing noise that hurt her ears. Strangely enough, it wasn't loud for Cronos. Its just enough to wake him up. Due to this, Kaguya ended up waking up crying.

They went out of the dormitory and see people heading to the canteen downstairs. Its very lively and normal considering they are thugs and whores. They do see normal people hanging around and they are doing the janitor work for the entire place. "What do you want to eat Cronos?" asked Kaguya softly. Cronos doesn't feel that hungry but he craves for something tasty so he asks Kaguya if its ok they chow down some snack bar. Kaguya declines eating snack bars and craves for a Hamburger. The smell directly below has the strong scent of tasty grilled burger patty and melted cheese.

The two went separate ways in finding what they want to eat. Cronos visits a snack shop and asks the owner of the shop if they have snack bars. The owner asks if Cronos have any credits to buy it. Credits is not what Cronos have at the moment. That meant Kaguya faced the same problem as him. The shop owner sighs and gives him one snack bar for free because he is her type. She gives a wink at him and let him out of her shop. The snack bar that he received is the granola bar. This particular granola bar has only one texture, in personal, dry as fuck. He does taste the nuttiness and the sweetness from the aftertaste but still, its dry as fuck. Its was the thing that bothered him the most. Don't forget that he has no taste buds so he can't taste the flavor of the granola bar.

Kaguya comes to Cronos to meet up with him. She has rat skewers in hand instead of the hamburger that she wanted. Kaguya's eyes are red from crying. Feeling bad, Cronos tells Kaguya to have an exchange of items that they hold. Kaguya thanks Cronos for the sentiment and traded her rat skewers for the granola bar. She takes a bite with her eyes closed so she didn't notice Cronos already bit off a portion from it. The taste of nuttiness and sweetness calms her down and dances on her taste buds.

II. Since there is a form of currency used around the Jam Rock, in order to settle here, both of them need to find a job they can take. No way will Kaguya go to the Love Rooms. "Simmon's group have women fighting with him." said Cronos. Kaguya is delighted and thanks Cronos for such an idea. They are already experienced explorers of the waste. So why not they enlist in Rock Gang as temporary mercenaries. That is...

Simmon Brock is nowhere to be found. The whores told them that Simmon had already left with his group to find more supplies for the turf. And they suggested Cronos to come with them to the Love Room as rich women will love having every sample out of him. Kaguya gets all flustered and pulled Cronos out of there. "Becareful please." asked Kaguya with worry. Cronos nods to reasssure Kaguya.

They can however meet with Alice who is currently in the Breakroom where she is leading the nerds to hack the computer terminals. "So what's up?" asked Alice. Cronos replied, "We heard that we need credits. How can we get them?"

Alice likes Cronos' initiative. "So you want credits boy? How about I hire you. The freaks always come and try to fuck us up. It was no problem since we always get supplies thanks to that dickhead. But we only established one exploration group with him leading the charge. Eva wanted to make things efficient so the bitch suggested we should make another scout group to round around picking up supplies in this wasteland. Dickhead went south, probably fucking with the robots with his shitty fisticuffs. I want you two to scout ahead westward since the freaks are spawning from there. Becareful because the freaks there are more ferocious and they want to scratch you till you fucking bleed rather than grab you and chomps you to bloody pieces."

She meant its a different variation of the zombie that focus on inflicting wounds instead of binding one person with sheer amount of numbers. Kaguya touches Cronos' elbow and said, "Don't worry. I have your back." Cronos decides to accept the task. Alice sighs. She said, "I know I am Naive and that dickhead always remind that I am but you should ask how much I can pay you. But since its your first time, I will let it slide. I will pay you about 50 credits if you get us information of what is going on at the west. If you get some supplies on the way back, just sell them to whoever needs them. Just don't let them fucking scam you like that one bitch of a receptionist. So go now."

III. It never gets better nor worse outside Jam Rock. Its the same ruined district. The bright light from the floodlights illuminate the whole area giving the sense of safety. Kaguya asked, "Do you want to use a gun? I can borrow you my Spider. Its better than swinging a sword." Cronos sees that the guns are the most effective and safe weapon to use against a zombie whose body is as rotten as a dried wilted flower. Yet the Parallel Chronoblade he holds with his tight grip made him think that this weapon is special. In fact, the sword itself is getting tempered as Cronos grows stronger. And the gear piece that is slotted in the indent of the guard. The piece glows bluish-purple. This wasn't glowing the first time Cronos got it so it is a mystery why it is now glowing that color.

Cronos is gonna decline but Kaguya still gives him a small gun that is different from what she is carrying. "Its a handgun called P2050. You can use this in a bind." said Kaguya as she hands it out. P2050, a variant of the SIG Sauer pistol, is delicately crafted into a compact form that is comfortable to carry around. Kaguya also gives him a holster for the pistol. Cronos nods and straps it to his left thigh. "Do you want to practice shooting the handgun?" asked Kaguya wondering if Cronos will accept. "Of course. I want to master the handgun." said Cronos with a positive smile.

There are lots of empty cans all around the place. Kaguya picks them up and places them on top of a vehicle. She helps Cronos position a distance away from the cans. "Let me see... Can you wield your gun with your dominant hand?" asked Kaguya. Cronos holds the handgun to his left hand, the same hand he holds his sword one handed. This confirms that Cronos is a left handed person. Cronos immediately assumes the correct posture of gripping the gun, holding the grip by wrapping his fingers underneath the trigger guard and have his index finger and thumb to the crook. Kaguya is surprised how he knew that. Cronos said, "Because I've seen you holding your weapons with the same grip so I thought this is the correct way to hold it."

That sentence makes Kaguya blush a little bit as Cronos implied that he kept his eyes on her during battles. She shakes her head to remove the thought and she continues to teach him. She asks him to wrap his other hand over his dominant hand but Cronos said that his right hand is occupied. Kaguya sees that he is holding his sword. "Are you ambidextrous?" asked Kaguya. Cronos confirms it.

Kaguya tries to insist Cronos to use both of his hands to hold the handgun to practice first. Cronos nods then sheathes his sword to his scabbard. He had to follow Kaguya's instruction to hold his gun, such as raising his arm a bit straight without locking his elbows, straight shoulders, head extended, and aim through the iron sight raised at eye level. He holds the handgun with such focus his breath slows down. Kaguya tells him to breathe in and breathe out to stabilize his posture. He then assumes the stance of the Isosceles Triangle for balance.

[Breathe in... Breathe out... Extend the arms... Look through the sight... Position to the target.... This felt... Familiar...]

Cronos is in the state of Trance. He puts his index finger to the trigger. With trained hand, he starts shooting. He shoots a full 20 round pistol shots towards the cans under 2 seconds. Kaguya claps her hands. "You're good with this for a starter." said Kaguya complimenting Cronos' marksmanship. Cronos asks for another magazine from Kaguya. "Here you go." said Kaguya as she trades the full magazine with Cronos' empty one. This time, Cronos wields the handgun left handed with a sword to the right hand. Kaguya asked, "You're planning to double wield them?" Cronos nods and begins to perform his techniques.

He shoots the cans with the handgun and swings with his sword. He perform numerous combinations of hack and shoot. At the very least, Cronos can QuickShot using the handgun if he has the resources provided for it for close quarter combat.

IV. "That was cool Cronos." cheered Kaguya happily. Cronos nods in agreement. The handgun is reloaded and it is now holstered. With resources replenished, they go westward to the current objective.

There were no zombies in sight but there are things that were not supposed to grow in an urban megapolis, such as big suspicious trees that glows yellow. Machines are obviously broken down and there are eerie sounds of crickets in the area. Kaguya smells a smell of some sort of flora that she describes as uneasy. The concrete jungle is overtaken by the nature.

They venture forth and they now discovered the so called zombies. But they were killed with a sharp weapon. Arrows indicate that there is a bow wielder nearby. Kaguya wondered, "Could there be people still alive?"

When the though is finished, the other zombies show up, clawing their way out of the buildings. They are skinner than the zombies they previously fought and their arms are longer and their hands are bigger. Their jaws are unhinged so it was obvious they cannot bite so they rely on strikes to spread violence around them. They are aggressively fast so this surprised Kaguya as she fires Cobra at them. The bullets just go through their thin skin and they don't stop. They need to be dealth with a fatal blow as the shot to the heart puts them out of their misery. Headshots are useless.

Cronos begins swinging his Parallel Chronoblade against the zombies. Since they are thin-skinned, hacking their limbs is easier than the previous zombies. Chopping the head off the body will also fatally damage them. As mentioned, headshots don't work when shot with a gun so Cronos needs to aim at the heart as Kaguya pointed out and fire his P2050 there to kill it.

The zombies are too aggressive that they managed to get passed Cronos and reach Kaguya. Kaguya ShadowStep out of the way to safety and continues to shoot. They are many and they are getting overwhelmed. "Cronos! The alleyway!" shouted Kaguya.

There is an alleyway with an opened door for the building. Cronos makes his way as Kaguya provides Overwatch and shoots every zombie that come close to Cronos. They eventually reached the door and slammed it shut. Fortunately the door opens outwards so the zombies ended up banging the door to gain access to reach them. Kaguya looks up and sees the stairs. She grabs Chronos by his wrist and drags him to the upper floor. An opened door that leads further to the building appears. They closed it and barricaded it with tables and chairs they could find.

V. The place they entered is a canteen for an office building. The food there are all rotted away. The water bottles remained clean as they are sealed tight and they are stored in the vending machine. No bottles of sodas which disappoints Kaguya. They take a quick break and they discuss about what they discovered.

Cronos points out that the entire area is covered with forest green. The flora are thriving especially the vines. He also points out that when popping their heart with his handgun, he heard something shatters like glass. They weren't bones from the ribcage but rather something made of glass. Kaguya points out that somehow the one fighting the zombies know this fact so they rely on a sword and a bow to wound them. The question is where could this person be.

They are just tasked to scout the area and bring back the information back to Alice. Cronos begins looking for something to sell back at Jam Rock. Kaguya agrees as they needed some extra Credit so they can settle there comfortably. What they took are the water bottles from the vending machine. Kaguya stashed them to her hiking pack. She will be slowed down by the weight so she cannot use her ShadowStep or else she will trip and fall on the ground. It is up to Cronos to defend her from the zombies that wants to shred her apart.

The zombies have broken in but since they had to go through the trouble of climbing up the stairs, they already received bruises from stumbling on top of one another. Kaguya takes this chance and pops them to the heart. Again, something breaks like glass whenever she shoots the heart. Headshots don't really work as they keep functioning even without a brain unless the head is completely cut off from its body. They defeated the zombies which caused concerns for Cronos. The number of zombies that were defeat are lesser than before when they were chased.

VII. They evacuated from the area and discover new piles of corpses lying around with arrows stuck to the chest. They are brutally maimed with something sharp. Kaguya notices a blood trail heading to the north. "Do you think they went there?" asked Kaguya. Cronos replied, "We should retreat. We can encounter them next time."

Meanwhile, somewhere near, a battle has started. A lone black haired girl dressed in black and white gothic princess dress is visibily shaken from the zombies she encounters. "No... No! Stay away!" she shouted. That attracted more zombies that wants to rip her apart. She screamed until she lost her voice. Her shaky red eyes turned blurry. It lost its light. A zombie lunges at her. It was about to scratch her with its mutated hand. She looks at the zombie with disgust and swipes her hand, cutting the limb. She swipes again as the zombie stays in the air until its limbs are hacked away and its heart is destroyed. She did not utter a single word. She holds a giant blue sword on the hand that she swung very strong. Its coated with blood.

Zombies are now approaching. She changes her giant sword with her bow that is slung to her body. The bow itself has no string attached. The girl holds the bow with her non-dominant hand which is her left hand towards the incoming zombie. Its heart is exposed. A magical arrow is summoned and she nocks it by the bow and proceeds to pull. She pulls it inward near her shoulder. She takes a deep concentration to aim the bow to the heart. Slow... And... Steady... Let it go. The arrow flies straight to the heart, breaking it like a glass. The zombie collapse from its weakness being taken advantage of.

The girl has a murderous look in her eyes. A calm calculated combatant aiming for cruel fatalities to ensure survival. Two zombies try to gang up on her but the girl changes her bow with her giant sword. She uses it to start disarming the zombies in literal definition of the word. Blood is spilled to the battleground, corrupting it and breed the seeds of violence. The maneaters thrive from the feast.

The girl temporarily blacks out after defeating all enemies in the vicinity. She panics when she sees all the corpses lying down on the ground. She is scared that she might end up becoming one of them so she flees eastward. More zombies show up which threatens her life. She had to get away.

VIII. "Help! Someone... Save me!" shouted the girl out of desperation. The shout is heard by Kaguya. "Cronos!" shouted Kaguya wanting to rescue some unknown individual away from danger. Cronos nods and follows Kaguya towards the distressed girl who is running away from the zombies. Kaguya begins firing Cobra towards the incoming zombies, aiming for disabling shots to slow them down so she can shoot for neutralization shots. Cronos holds the girl and move her behind his back. They both slowly retreated while Kaguya is covering for them.

"We should clear them here before we head back. I don't want to cause trouble for Alice's people." said Kaguya as she reloads her Cobra. Cronos nods and stands his ground. The girl feels the sense of safety and the determination from the two saviors. "I... I will fight too!" said the girl as she wields a big sword although clumsily. Kaguya wants to object but it was already too late. A zombie is already on to her. It freaked the girl out and she swung her sword early. Because of the sword is swung horizontally, it actually landed on the zombie, slashing it in half. But the weight makes her stop for a moment to catch her breath. Cronos covers for her until she recovers.

The number of enemies slowly dwindles but that one moment, Cronos let his guard down when a zombie uses a grab instead of attacking to prevent him from moving. Witnessing the that Cronos is gonna get shredded by the other zombie infront of him, the girl screamed and sink the tip of her sword to its chest, breaking its heart into pieces to set Cronos free. Cronos proceeds to spin and shoulder throw the zombie to the ground and stomp the heart. At least a dozen of zombies have fallen in battle. The girl is relieved that she is finally saved. "Thank you... Thank you two... God bless you..." said the girl with both of her hands hold together, resembling a prayer.

IX. "Lets get out of here." said Kaguya. Everyone agreed so they flee to safety. None of the zombies followed. It is noticeable that the girl that they saved is slow due to the weight of the weapon she is carrying. They rest at a bus stop.

Kaguya begins the introduction in a soft spoken tone. "Hello. My name is Kaguya. And his name is Cronos. We are survivors trying to survive this chaos. How about you? Can you tell me your name?" Nervous, but still, the girl said, "I-I'm Rabiane. I'm a sister as you can see. I am quite lost and don't know where I am." "Neither do we." replied Cronos.

Kaguya asks if Rabiane wants to come with them to Jam Rock. She describe the place a community of weird people. Rabiane says that she wants to. It is agreed that Cronos and Kaguya will be Rabiane's companion traveling back to Jam Rock to deliver the bad news about the strange zombies at the western street to Alice.
