I. The world is a mismatch of technologies, ranging from steampunk technology to futuristic technology. Both ancient and foreign artifacts can be found in the remnant of the ruins. Cronos can see many anomalies as he treks further north following the north star.

Floating debris helped him go over blockage that is otherwise impossible climb over. There are also strange gravitational force on some parts, allowing him to walk on walls. The sense of balance is quite hard to get used to but Cronos managed to walk over kilometers to see the whole world on top of a rooftop.

The world is bright with lights coming from both fire and lightbulbs. A city of the empty. The first thing Cronos noticed are the floating disc with a red laser attached underneath what it looks to be a camera lens. Those are drones. But something that Cronos did not recognize one bit. It aimlessly roam around the skies. It is strange that in a place of civilization Cronos have not found one clue of someone alive.

II. Cronos continues to walk until suddenly heard "VROOM VROOM". Maybe its instinct but Cronos jumps and rolled forward. Something has been swung and it hits the ground, grinding against the metal. Cronos take one good look and sees a machine with mismatched parts. Its lens glow red menacingly as it floats towards him. It has a chainsaw arm, a drill arm, a big body, a floating device underneath, and a face made from scraps and junk. It roars at Cronos and lunges at him. It swung its drill with great force. Cronos jumps back to avoid it. The attack lands on the ground, denting it and creating dust clouds.

Cronos is stuck with the machine in a crater. Climbing out of the place will expose his back, so Cronos has only one option but to fight the machine. The Parallel Chronoblade is not a good weapon as its edge is chipped. He wouldn't be able to use it to cut through the metal body. He has to observe. Every mechanical machines are man-made. So there are bound to be weaknesses by the design. Knowing that this particular machine have many mismatch body parts, Cronos should aim at the link. Their mechanical joints.

The machine attacks Cronos while he is contemplating. Cronos sees the direct attack so he sidesteps to the left as the chainsaw arm is swinging downward diagonal to the right. The attack is successfully dodged. Cronos makes a stance having his weapon far to his right side of the body and then swings his sword along the movement of his hips rotating to the left. The attack hits the body, dealing minimal damage. It left a dent but it won't make a machine feel pain. The machine decided to body slam Cronos. It tilts downward and made its thrusters go "BOOM!". Cronos braced for the impact and it knocks him back a few feet away from the machine. He sustained damaged from his left shoulder.

By the look of the bruise, it should've hurt. But Cronos didn't feel much pain. More accurately, he couldn't feel it. Even the days where he had to eat to survive, he couldn't taste anything but instead, his other sense, which is hearing and sight, are heightened. That is the reason how he could guard an attack at point-blank range in a quick time event. The machine begins to attack and its drill arm starts to spin very fast. It started to lunge but Cronos moved out of the way to the right and he countered by striking the thrusters. Attacking the thruster made the machine lose balance. It allowed him to slash his sword at the machine's camera lens. The right lens is destroyed but the machine swings it drill to Cronos. Instinctively hearing a mechanical movement of the joints, he guards. It hit the Parallel Chronoblade which pushed him back into distance.

The machine starts to float again but lost its sight of Cronos. With the right lens being destroyed, the machine has a major blind spot to the right. He takes this chance to strike the machine down to the ground by trashing its thrusters and the part underneath the body that makes the machine float. With it being on the ground, the machine begins to struggle but Cronos deals the final blow to the remaining lens. The machine is completely blind and it couldn't recognize anything which overloaded its system with errors, evidently shutting itself down. Despite receiving injuries, Cronos won the fight.

III. Due to this fight, Cronos recognizes the threat of this world, the machines that roam around the area. Its violent towards organic being like him. With received insight, Cronos continues to travel. He has to face more of the machines. The Parallel Chronoblade is quite dull and even if sharpened, the body plate of the machines prevented him to cut through. Yet it is still sharp enough to cut through weak joints as Cronos realized that the machines sometimes stop itself to recalibrate their system, giving him time to deal extra strikes at them.

According to Cronos, the most annoying machines to fight against are the flying drones. They are quick and they fire lasers to Cronos. Hitting them at the air with the Chronoblade is close to impossible so Cronos opts to avoid confronting the drones. Cronos sometimes find convenient accessories like armguards made from kevlar and rigid plastic whenever he scavenges the area that are tucked in dressers and lockers. He kept his eyes out for such items.

IV. Lately, Cronos decided to go hunting machines as their parts proved useful for something. Cronos isn't exactly have the knack of making electronic devices but his perfect memory allows him to research the technology he would later use. Considering he has amnesia, it is quite ironic that he has that kind of memory saved in his mind.

He figured out that the laser that the drones make will be a good use as a lighter as he can adjust it to only light something on fire. He had to craft for its battery and casing so the laser can function like a lighter though it took him for a long time researching it how. Thankfully the areas where the anomaly that has the frozen space makes a good rest spots. And accidents like explosion rarely happens in this plane.

Using various parts he salvaged from broken appliances around the area, Cronos made various utilities at his disposal. One such gadget that he made is a radio receiver that catches radio frequency. It makes a silent vibration and it goes stronger the closer Cronos move to the source of the signal. This way, Cronos could tell which of the broken machines have operational components or detect movement from moving machines.

V. Fighting against machines various times gave Cronos a new insight for his fighting style. The machine utilizes their weight to deliver a powerful smashing attack that crushes anything it hits. Cronos wouldn't be able to recreate such force but he could copy how it utilize momentum to make a strong attack. Cronos will later call this move "HARD HIT". Hard Hit relies on Cronos' ability to put on weight of his downward swing. It gives him an opening for the enemy to attack so Cronos only uses it when he successfully stuns the enemy and strike them down with one big hit, staggering them to allow Cronos to take one step back to safety. When it hits, the stagger is great.

He also learned about a technique when facing drones. His heightened sight allows him to process information into his brain very fast, allowing him to react to certain threats. That meant it will be difficult to hit Cronos now that he has this move called "DEFLECTION". Deflection essentially makes use of Cronos' reaction speed to deflect projectiles from enemies. And his Parallel Chronoblade is highly resistant to heat so his sword can be used to parry laser shots. There is a drawback and that is Cronos can't just block everything as he pleases. Swinging his blade tires him out and if he gets tired, a big opening will appear that is ready to be exploited. He may have faster reaction speed but he has no infinite stamina to use this technique for long.

So Cronos learned two techniques for his fighting style and he does notice how his attacks are improving a bit. Having to dodge hits often increased Cronos' athletic ability and having to strike against hard surfaces everytime made Cronos strength stronger. With him constantly bashing enemies with the Parallel Chronoblade, the chipped edge somehow turned blunt. It was quite a miracle that the chip did not transform into crack. Using a coarse metal object that he found, Cronos scraped the edge over and over for a long time until the edge sharpened. It actually looks smaller in comparison to its original size but it is still has good length.

Cronos practices his swings and it delivers a gust of wind and slices through soft objects. It becomes easy to wield. Still, the gear as the guard left Cronos questioning. He thinks of it that its just a decoration. Still, the sword itself seems to be attracted towards the space anomaly. He felt that he wouldn't be able to enter such space without this sword but he didn't knew why.

VI. Cronos started to travel again when he noticed that his detection device makes a screeching sound, something it shouldn't happen. Cronos stopped and felt something tremble. The earth is shaking. Up ahead there are two towers. The tremble violently shakes the foundation of the towers, causing both to fall down. Cronos hides behind a debris and braced for the impact. The towers collapse and the entire structure fall to the ground, causing devastation around the area.

It took a couple of hours until the disaster ended. Cronos looks at the collapse towers and right there, through the dust clouds, a pair of red lights shine brightly. It moves slowly and makes a giant mechanical clockwork noises. A gigantic beast encased of metal. It roars, shaking the ground violently.

Cronos looks behind him and sees that the building behind him also collapse, blocking his way out of there. Only way through is fighting the giant enemy he never had faced before. Before then, tons of machines appeared on the ground, equipped with mismatched limbs for parts looking for something. Cronos has to face them head on.

Cronos stands his ground, positioning himself where the enemies cannot reach him altogether. The machines started to come but Cronos already knew their weaknesses. He easily countered every lunge attacks and smash attacks as these machines are simple and predictable. But the next wave became trouble as he faced drones in battle.

The drones begin looking for Cronos who hid behind cover. He couldn't exactly reach them with his Parallel Chronoblade. The drones are looking for him. If he gets spotted by the swarm of drones, he wouldn't be able to deflect all the laser shots towards him.

It's impossible for a character whose style is based on close quarter combat techniques, and the Parallel Chronoblade haven't got its special ability like the original one. Its impossible, until a third party showed up. Up on a balcony about five story tall, a glint shines by the lens reflecting the moonlight. A metallic tube is pointed towards the red glowing light in the dust cloud. The heartbeat slowly pulses, and a trigger has been pulled. A silenced shot towards the red glow. CRACK! It fell and scrapped itself. The tube sways from the recoil.

VII. This third party takes a deep breath as she confirmed that she hits her target. She pulls a lever and it ejected a shell. It fell in a woven metal wire basket attached to the ejection port. She repeats her action as swift as possible, before disappearing into the building. All the drones are wiped out thanks to the third party.

Cronos begins to face the giant machine. It gazes towards him and it roars. It tries to attack but its tail got stuck underneath the piles of rubble. If it manages to get free, Cronos is done for. Cronos press for the offensive and jumps towards it. The machine tried to use its free limbs to attack Cronos. It missed but it shakes the ground, causing Cronos to stumble. He barely managed to roll out of the way to not get crushed by another limb. That limb gets stuck to the ground so he used the limb as the path towards the head. He dashes and lunges to swing his sword. The sword manages to slice the left lens of the machine but not enough to destroy it. It angrily shakes, causing Cronos to fall to the ground. Its stampede caused itself to wriggle out of the rubble. It is still stuck but it will be matter of time before it frees itself.

"Need a hand?" said a voice of a girl. Cronos looks back and sees her, the third party, carrying a giant cylinder. The girl's blue eyes are highly focused to the scope attached to the cylinder. She aims for the face. She predicts when it is the best time to pull the trigger. When it happened, a loud BOOM! appeared and something flew out of the cylinder. An object propelled by fire. It hits the face and destroyed part of its face.

The machine gets angry and it shakes more violently to free itself. The girl dropped the cylinder and lifts the other one that is strapped behind her back. The girl takes a deep breath. As her focus heightens and her heartbeat slows down, time move slowly. She counted silently from 3 to 1 and pulled the trigger. The cylinder goes BOOM! and the final shot destroyed the plating on its face, exposing the components hidden underneath.

VIII. Cronos takes this chance to get through its violent rampage, using jumps to avoid the shockwaves from the powerslams and used the force to boost himself upward. Another limb got stuck on the ground and it couldn't free itself. Cronos used this advantage to climb the giant machine to the face. He jumps and dashes until he reached the face. He planted his sword deep to the exposed face and let gravity pull him down. The sword hits important components, including the parts where it supplies itself with power.

The machine's inner components gets revealed for the girl to see. Moving like a shadow, the girl swiftly approaches the giant machine and jumps high up to the air, using another weapon at her disposal, the one she call Cobra. She held the trigger and held the barrel of her assault rifle, firing a full burst of rounds. Each rounds penetrated into the machine, breaking each components with strong piercing damage. She flies up in the air like a butterfly as she steps on flying debris to change positions.

The machine, considering the girl as the most threat, targets her and tries to strike her down. It enabled Cronos to cut the steel wires that connect each limbs one by one without being noticed. The loss of structure snaps the limbs, making it lose balance and its mobility. Its remaining limbs cannot perform to its best performance without its mobility. It tried to find who dared to cut off its limbs but the girl kept shooting and reloading with Cobra.

The girl speaks in a soft spoken words, "You're finished." She threw an EMP grenade towards the giant machine. It blew right to its face. The circuits in the machine got fried but they weren't enough to deactivate it, so the girl continues to throw about a dozen of EMP grenades to overload the capacity of the charge. Cronos cut most of the links from the giant machine so the charge couldn't be regulated because the capacitor of the giant machine overheated and couldn't find other current to discharge the electricity.

After all, the giant machine is combined with mismatched components. They weren't built exactly with proper structure and design. An electrified charge from EMP grenades are highly effective against defective products of chaos. Cronos looks at the girl who helped him. A white haired girl wielding guns and wears a soft spoken smile.

IX. "We should get out of this place." said the girl with a soft tone of her voice. She reloaded her gun and let Cronos lead. "Follow me." ordered Cronos. They pass by the defeated machine and something about it made Cronos' Parallel Chronoblade glow purple. At the top of its head, there is a purple glow, the same as the sword. Cronos investigated it and begin salvaging the broken machinery, only to find a piece of metal. That metal begins to shake and it flies to the Chronoblade's guard. It fits in the indentation of a gear. It has a new ability now but the girl said, "We should go. The commotion would have attracted their attention."

It is a sound plan so Cronos takes the lead and finds the space anomaly. Cronos entered it just fine but to the girl, it froze her in place. Cronos had one good look of the girl, she wears pink and black ribbon tied to her hair to make a ponytail and a braid, she has blue eyes. She wears a black crop top underneath her black and pink jacket.She wears a black leather skirt strapped on with a black belt with ammo pouches. She wears a pair of black lycra arm sleeve, a pair of black leather gloves, a pair of black high socks, and a pair of high heeled boots. Her jacket has the logo 'K' inscribed on the shoulder.

Cronos touch the girl at her shoulder and shook her. The girl is shocked and shoved his hand away. "What are you doing?" asked the girl with a mean tone. Cronos replied, "You stopped moving because of the frozen space." The girl looks around and notices the floating debris that remained stationary. Even the dusts that surround the space, making them the effective camouflage against machines.

The girl coughs and begins introducing herself. "My name is Kaguya. What is your name?" said Kaguya. Cronos replies to her question by giving her his name. Kaguya said, "You are the first person I've seen for a while when I woke up here. Do you happen to know where we are?" Cronos shakes his head in disagreement. He doesn't know. Kaguya looks down. "That's alright." she said.
