Moriarty/ Sherlock: Blood and Shadows.

In The Heart of Darkness – A City in Submission

London had surrendered.

Not to an army. Not to a king.

But to him.

The fear of Jack the Ripper was no longer a whisper in the dark—it was a suffocating weight that pressed down on every man, woman, and child.

No one was safe.

The noblewoman's abduction had shattered the last illusion of security. Even the most powerful families were nothing more than prey.

And Jack had made his message clear.

"Run."

The police had barricaded entire districts, declaring martial law in a desperate attempt to regain control. But it was useless. The people no longer trusted the law.

They only feared the monster lurking in the shadows.

But fear was a tool—one that William Moriarty could wield just as well as his enemy.

If Jack thought he could drown London in blood, then Moriarty would show him what it meant to challenge a mastermind.

The hunt had begun.

221B Baker Street – The Plan Takes Shape

Sherlock Holmes was never one for stillness.

His mind was a machine, constantly analyzing, unraveling the threads of logic even as the world around him crumbled.

And right now, all those threads led to one name.

"Jack has escalated because he believes he's untouchable." Holmes turned from the map on the wall, his sharp gaze locking onto Moriarty. "We need to force him into the open."

Moriarty smirked. "I assume you have a suggestion?"

Holmes exhaled. "We give him something he can't resist."

"Bait," Watson muttered.

Holmes nodded. "But not a noblewoman. Not some helpless victim. He's grown bored of that."

Moriarty's golden eyes gleamed with amusement. "Then what do you propose?"

Holmes' smile was razor-sharp.

"Myself."

---

Whitechapel – A Dance with the Devil

It was a dangerous gamble.

Holmes walked the streets alone, his usual coat replaced by tattered rags. He looked like any other unfortunate soul wandering the filth-ridden alleys of Whitechapel.

But every step was calculated. Every movement was a challenge.

Come find me, Jack.

The air was thick with tension. Holmes could feel the city watching him.

And then—

A whisper.

A shift in the shadows.

Holmes didn't need to turn around.

He knew he was no longer alone.

---

Jack the Ripper – A Monster in the Flesh

A voice, smooth as silk.

"You don't belong here, detective."

Holmes smirked, his heartbeat steady. "And yet, here I am."

Jack emerged from the darkness, his presence unnatural.

Even in the dim glow of the gaslights, his eyes burned—red as blood, sharp as a blade.

Holmes had seen many killers before.

But Jack was something else.

Something inhuman.

Jack chuckled. "Most men run when they hear my name."

Holmes met his gaze without flinching. "I am not most men."

Silence stretched between them. A battle not of fists, but of wills.

Then, Jack's grin widened, revealing a flash of fangs.

"You're interesting."

Holmes tensed.

Jack lunged.

---

The Clash of Titans

Holmes moved on instinct, dodging as Jack's claws sliced through the air.

Not a knife. Not a weapon.

Claws.

Holmes barely had time to process before Jack struck again—too fast, too strong.

This was no ordinary killer.

This was a predator.

Holmes hit the ground hard, the impact knocking the breath from his lungs. He rolled, barely avoiding Jack's next attack.

But he wouldn't last long.

Jack was playing with him.

And when he finally decided to kill—

A gunshot.

Jack jerked back, a bullet tearing through his shoulder.

He turned—

And there stood William Moriarty, pistol still raised, golden eyes cold.

Jack chuckled. "You finally showed up."

Moriarty smirked. "Did you miss me?"

Holmes pushed himself to his feet, his mind racing.

They had drawn Jack out.

Now they just had to survive .

The Night of the Hunt:

The gunshot echoed through Whitechapel, shattering the stillness of the night.

But Jack did not fall.

Blood dripped from his shoulder, the wound torn open by Moriarty's bullet.

Yet he stood there—smiling.

Holmes had seen many reactions to being shot. Shock, agony, panic.

Jack displayed none of them.

Instead, he laughed.

Low and quiet at first, but rising into a sharp, twisted symphony that made the air feel heavier.

Moriarty cocked his pistol again. "You're taking this rather well."

Jack grinned, his crimson eyes glowing under the gaslights. "And you're making this fun."

Then he moved.

A Battle in the Shadows

Holmes barely had time to react before Jack vanished.

Not ran. Not dodged.

Vanished.

A blur of darkness, faster than the human eye could track.

Then—

A sharp gust of wind—

And a hand closed around Moriarty's wrist.

Jack was behind him.

"I wonder," Jack mused, his grip tightening, "how long will that arrogance last once I rip your throat out?"

Moriarty did not flinch. "An interesting hypothesis. Care to test it?"

Holmes saw the gleam of Moriarty's knife a split second before it plunged toward Jack's stomach.

But Jack—wasn't there.

A shadow twisted, and suddenly he was behind Holmes.

"Your friend is quite bold," Jack whispered in his ear.

Holmes spun, slashing with his own blade—

Jack caught his wrist with unnatural ease.

Too fast. Too strong.

Holmes met his gaze. "You're not human."

Jack smiled. "Took you long enough."

Then he tightened his grip—

And Holmes felt the bones in his wrist crack.

Pain shot up his arm, but he didn't scream.

Moriarty was already moving.

A second gunshot rang out—

Jack dodged, twisting his body unnaturally.

Holmes used the distraction, kicking forward with all his strength.

His boot connected with Jack's ribs—

And for the first time, Jack staggered.

Not much. Barely an inch.

But enough.

Moriarty was already firing again—

Jack leapt back, dodging with ease.

Then, he smirked. "You are interesting."

And in the next heartbeat—

He was gone.

The Aftermath – A Game of Wolves

Holmes clenched his injured wrist, his mind racing.

Jack was stronger than they had imagined.

Faster.

More than human.

Moriarty lowered his pistol, exhaling. "Well." He glanced at Holmes. "That could have gone worse."

Holmes shot him a sharp look. "You call that a success?"

Moriarty smirked. "Jack revealed himself."

Holmes scowled. "He played with us."

Moriarty's golden eyes gleamed. "Which means he has a weakness."

Holmes exhaled slowly.

He wanted to argue. Wanted to call it a disaster.

But he couldn't.

Moriarty was right.

Jack had revealed something tonight.

He had toyed with them—laughed, dodged, teased.

But he had not killed them.

Which meant he couldn't.

Not yet.

Holmes' sharp mind latched onto that fact like a steel trap.

Everything had a weakness.

Even the devil.

The Streets of London – A New Terror

By dawn, the news had spread.

Two gunshots had rung out in Whitechapel.

Sherlock Holmes and William Moriarty had confronted Jack the Ripper.

And lived.

The city was in a frenzy.

Some saw it as hope.

Others saw it as madness.

And in the darkest corners, another rumor began to stir.

Jack had been shot.

And survived.

Unharmed.

The whispers grew louder.

Jack the Ripper isn't human.

Some said he was a demon. Others swore he was the devil himself.

And for the first time, even the underworld was afraid.

Because if Jack was something more—

Then what hope did they have?

A Letter in Blood

Two nights later, a message arrived at 221B Baker Street.

No envelope. No signature.

Just a single sheet of parchment, smeared with blood.

Holmes unfolded it carefully, his eyes scanning the words.

Then, without a word, he passed it to Moriarty.

The message was simple.

"I enjoyed our game. Shall we play again?"

Moriarty smirked. "It seems we have his attention."

Holmes' gaze was cold. "Good. Because I have no intention of losing."

Moriarty's golden eyes gleamed. "Neither do I."

The game had begun. And this time, there would be no escape.
