Chapter 6: The Mark of the Eye
In the shadowy realm of Eclipsar Crown, a young ranker named Malvos toiled in obscurity. Mocked and ridiculed by his peers, he was often dismissed as nothing more than a failure. Yet, within him lay a power and resolve few could comprehend. When a mysterious figure delivered orders for Malvos to attend the grand tournament at Harena Sand, he accepted without question, a sly smile playing on his lips. "Finally," he muttered to himself, " finally i can meet a lower class than me." with a smile.
Back at the tournament, chaos reigned as Ryn's audacious challenge to the Elite rankers echoed through Vyranthia, broadcasting across villages, cities, and guild halls. In Lunaford, Lyra and his master and among all the villagers also watching the Tournament.
As the match commenced, Ryn stood with his hands casually in his pockets, provoking the rankers' ire with his nonchalant attitude. "I think it's disrespectful to keep my hands in my pockets while facing such esteemed opponents," he teased, removing them with exaggerated flair. "I'm ready."
The Elite rankers, seething with fury, launched their combined assault, their elemental powers crashing down upon Ryn like a tidal wave. Flames roared, ice shattered, and winds howled, yet Ryn remained undeterred. Closing his eyes, he sensed their movements, countering each attack with unmatched precision and overwhelming power. One by one, the rankers fell, their defeat a testament to Ryn's unparalleled strength.
As the dust settled, a stunned silence enveloped the arena. The announcer stammered, unable to comprehend what had transpired. "What… what just happened? I couldn't see a single attack!"
The remaining rankers, their pride wounded, unleashed their hidden powers in a desperate bid to defeat Ryn. Their combined onslaught seemed to overwhelm him, after that Lyra watched with bated breath, her heart torn between fear and pride. Ryn's master, Calyon, gazed at the screen with a mix of admiration and worry. "Too soon, Ryn," he murmured, "but you're making your mark." but as the flames and magic cleared, Ryn stood unscathed, his fiery aura burning brighter than ever.
"Know your place, fools," he declared with a devilish grin before unleashing a devastating attack that left the remaining rankers defeated.
But victory was short-lived. Among the cheering crowd, Ryn's gaze locked onto a solitary figure—Malvos. The rookie ranker from Eclipsar Crown exuded an ominous presence.
Ryn called out, "You're no ordinary spectator. Come down here and face me."
Malvos smirked, dismissing Ryn with a wave. "Kid, you're not worth my time. Enjoy your little victory."
Undeterred, Ryn leapt from the ring, confronting Malvos directly. As he reached out with his power, flames accidentally tore through Malvos's shirt, revealing the mark of Eclipsar Crown: a half-crescent black moon, known as "The Eye of the Black Moon."
The arena froze in collective fear. The tattoo's revelation sent shockwaves through the crowd and across Vyranthia. Whispers of dread rippled through the audience as guild masters exchanged alarmed glances.
Malvos's expression darkened. His aura flared as he stepped forward, his voice dripping with menace. "You've made a grave mistake, kid."
With a single, devastating punch, Malvos struck Ryn's aura core, sending him crashing to the edge of the ring. Ryn lay unconscious, his body motionless.
Standing over him, Malvos sneered, "Get ready for the real fight, boy. This is only the beginning."
The chapter ended with Malvos towering over Ryn's fallen form, his presence casting a shadow over the entire arena. The world of Vyranthia watched in stunned silence, bracing for the chaos to come.
