Chapter 54: Extra [Conclusion]
Life Later [Part 2] from Xia Baiyuan’s Perspective
Even teachers have their own personalities.
For example, Xia Baiyuan is very quiet. If you saw him normally, you’d think he was a theory teacher.
Cold, aloof, not easy to get along with.
But the teachers in the office found out that this sudden, unheralded new teacher was not only very polite, but also had a good temper and rarely refused others’ requests.
Then everyone got familiar with him.
It was like university roommates; everyone acts proper on the first day, but once they get to know each other, their true selves are revealed. Some scratch their feet, some gossip, and some like to pontificate.
“I’m telling you, the textbooks published by Linluo are the most rigorous. Look at what we have here,” Teacher Ku, who teaches history, waved a book in frustration. “They’re filled with unverifiable rumors and aim to entertain rather than educate. While they do pique students’ interest, what are they actually learning? Right, Teacher Xia?”
Teacher Xia nodded. Indeed, textbooks are very important.
He cautiously asked, “So, what do they say?”
“Problems everywhere!” Teacher Ku threw up his hands. “It says that three thousand years ago, an indestructible bullet appeared, allegedly with a power attached to it. Not only was its destructive power immense, but the wielders often hallucinated, seeing many great disasters—this is just attributing enhanced weaponry to male zergs! Pure fabrication.”
Xia Baiyuan: “…Yes, you’re right.”
“Not to mention the claim that Marshal Xia Baiyuan once had an egg.” Teacher Ku rolled his eyes. “I really don’t want any more students asking me about this.”
Xia Baiyuan felt like he was sitting on pins and needles. “You’re right.”
“And then there’s the bit about a 3S-class male zerg. If one existed, wouldn’t there be a record of his name?” Teacher Ku scoffed. “Putting unverified folklore into textbooks—this publisher is doomed. Wait, did someone knock? Come in!”
A black-haired, red-eyed male zerg appeared at the door, smiling politely. “I have something to discuss with you all.”
Xia Baiyuan felt a great sense of relief.
Lu Xi was always very attentive in history class, with top exam scores, making Teacher Ku very pleased with this diligent student.
“What’s the matter?”
Of course, it would be nice if he was as diligent in areas outside of Xia Baiyuan’s influence.
Thinking this, Teacher Ku couldn’t help but glance back at Teacher Xia.
Identical silver hair and blue eyes, and almost identical faces.
…So, the textbooks really were doomed.
“This 20th, I will be marrying Teacher Xia. Here’s the invitation.”
The office fell into dead silence.
Teacher Ku: “…”
He thought the photos in the textbooks must have played a crucial role.
Lu Xi and Xia Baiyuan, with sincere faces, said, “Please do come.”

**[Night at the Lu Mansion]**
“You have no idea how hard it was to keep from laughing. If I had laughed, the teachers’ reactions would have been even more spectacular.”
Xia Baiyuan looked back at Lu Xi in confusion. “Why?”
He sat by the bed, holding a vintage fountain pen, wearing frameless glasses, writing lesson plans.
Lu Xi lay on the soft bed, wrapping his arms around Xia Baiyuan’s slender, strong waist, laughing quietly. “Just some little coincidences.”
Xia Baiyuan didn’t understand, but he didn’t mind. Ever since he came here, Lu Xi would often laugh at odd things.
Hmm… probably some three-thousand-year-old jokes. This enormous gap couldn’t be bridged overnight.
But he wasn’t in a hurry.
Xia Baiyuan’s hair had grown a bit longer and always fell to the side of his face. Lu Xi tied a small ponytail at the back of his head.
His skill was quite poor; after watching for a while, he shamefully untied it and redid it. He fiddled for half an hour, and by the time he was done, Xia Baiyuan had nearly finished writing his lesson plan.
Lu Xi leaned over to take a look and couldn’t help but say, “This is the best handwriting in the house so far.”
Xia Baiyuan couldn’t help but grin.
Obviously, he also recalled Ling’s awful chicken scratch.
Lu Xi let go and rolled to the other side of the bed, hugging the egg and lifting it high. He had previously planned a grand wedding, thinking he would be separated from Xia Baiyuan, but was pleasantly surprised by an unexpected happy ending.
The wedding plans now had a purpose again. But the egg wasn’t part of the original plan.
“No, don’t think about giving it to me,” Lu Mo said with a cold face, “I don’t want to hold another egg.”
Ling spread his hands and smiled, “I’m afraid I can’t either. This egg… seems quite scared of me.”
Why? Lu Xi was puzzled. Among the Legions, his father was rated as the “least like a legion commander.”
It didn’t seem suitable for his three brothers to hold it either…
So, the final solution was to create a low-key luxurious “special seat” for the egg, placed in a spot overlooking the entire venue.
The egg would poke its tip out, as if it were observing the scene.
Xia Baiyuan’s face appeared in his line of sight.
He tilted his head slightly, looking down at Lu Xi.
He looked pure like an angel, but two buttons were undone, revealing his slender and delicate neck. A vivid pattern climbed out from his collar, adding a touch of allure.
Lu Xi: “…”
He turned his head away, barely maintaining his composure. “So, do you have any thoughts on the wedding? These are all my plans. I wanted to surprise you, so I didn’t ask for your opinion.”
In reality, he didn’t know what he was saying, his mind filled with nonsense.
Xia Baiyuan had fully matured into an adult zerg now, but in Lu Xi’s mind, he still retained the image of a shy young Xia Baiyuan.
Timid.
Cautious.
Like a shy plant that would tremble and close up whenever Lu Xi touched it.
Xia Baiyuan lay down beside him, resting his chin on Lu Xi’s chest, “Whatever you decide. I’m not particularly familiar with these things.”
As he spoke, his warm breath brushed against Lu Xi’s neck. Lu Xi tried to distract himself, not wanting to focus on Xia Baiyuan’s snowy neck.
To his distress, Xia Baiyuan had a unique scent that made his nerves jump. He swallowed hard, unable to say another word.
They had been apart for so long that Lu Xi suddenly felt timid. But he didn’t want to push Xia Baiyuan away, almost clinging to the warmth and scent of Xia Baiyuan’s body.
Xia Baiyuan: “Your heartbeat is so fast.” Lu Xi looked up at the ceiling in despair.
He couldn’t control it at all.
Xia Baiyuan chuckled, his voice sounding peculiar through the skin.
He turned his neck and faced Lu Xi with the back of his head, “I’ve been alone for the past three years…” Lu Xi felt even more guilty as Xia Baiyuan mentioned this, his blood running cold and his heartbeat sinking. “I’m sorry, it’s all my fault.”
After a moment of silence, Lu Xi heard Xia Baiyuan let out a long sigh.
The zerg with azure eyes knelt up, his ears tinged red under the silver hair. “…What I mean is, you can do whatever you want.”
God, does he really have to say it to this extent before he understands?
Hunched over, burying his face in his hands, his breath unsteady.
Lu Xi lay dumbfounded on the bed.
His heart thumped louder and louder.
Xia Baiyuan… so cute, aww.
He had to hug Xia Baiyuan right now.

[Life Harmony]
As time passed day by day, it was already the 20th.
The entire zerg race was filled with excitement.
This was not only out of respect for the Lu family but also because after interacting with the Earth civilization, the entire zerg race gradually developed a love for gossip.
Who wouldn’t want to see the most mysterious little male zerg from the Lu family?
Of course, Luoxi wanted to, but he had to. He had accepted Lu Xi’s invitation. Early in the morning, his parents left by starship, leaving him a letter that seemed to him somewhat sarcastic.
Why did they have to be so annoying!
With a huff, Luoxi boarded the starship and finally arrived at his destination.
When he arrived, he was dumbfounded. Such a large venue.
This lawn could already be used for soccer, right???? Not to mention the magnificent mansion in the distance… Clearly luxurious, yet not ostentatious at all.
Coming from a small noble family, he still had some knowledge.
The flowers scattered on the lawn alone were only found on asteroids tens of light-years away. Expensive flowers known as “Imperial Divine Flowers.”
He took out the invitation and double-checked.
Ah, the address was correct. It must be that Lu Xi’s address was wrong.
Just as Luoxi was confused, a black-haired maid came over and politely asked, “Are you a classmate of Master Lu Xi?”
Luoxi nodded cautiously.
Wow, the maid appeared out of nowhere, startling him.
The maid’s smile was impeccable. “Please follow me.”
Passing through layers of flower gates and heavy doors, Luoxi was almost about to scream.
That painting was one of Monet’s most famous works, and it looked like a genuine one! Was that sculpture real? He had only seen it in brochures.
And the lamps used for lighting on the way, they looked like antique relics.
…It was awe-inspiring.
A vague guess formed in Luoxi’s mind, but he didn’t know whether it was out of timidity or something else.
Luoxi let that speculation slip away.
It wasn’t until he was ushered into the main hall and took his seat that he saw familiar faces on the table.
Classmates and teachers were gathered around, their faces either excited or anxious, but all remained silent. Teacher Ku awkwardly adjusted his attire and instinctively touched his cheek. Luoxi felt sorry for the teacher.
Looking around, Luoxi noticed several hidden cameras in various corners. They bore the logos of different TV stations.
Luoxi instinctively put on a standard smile.
In places Luoxi couldn’t see, the viewership ratings of various broadcasting stations had skyrocketed. The online live stream rooms were filled with barrage comments.
Amidst the “ahh” noises, a few inconspicuous comments scrolled by.
[“Ah! I see my son! He’s in the main hall!”]
[“Yes, he looks so foolish. I can’t help but doubt our family’s education.”]
[“Didn’t he say he was going to attend his classmate’s wedding…?”]
“Go on,” Lu Mo looked at his little son, smiling lightly. “Go and marry your consort.” Ling patted his back. “Do you need to hold my hand?”
Lu Xi hesitated for a moment.
But then others would surely start to understand our family’s quirks.
However, after some banter from his parents, his mood improved.
Taking a deep breath, Lu Xi pushed open the door.
Walking along the crimson carpet, he saw a tall figure at the end of the dazzling lights. He was dressed in pure white wedding attire, almost like a figure from an ethereal myth.
That was where he had always longed to be. That was the star that had fallen into his life.
Lu Xi’s eyes welled up, and his vision gradually blurred.
But miraculously, he could clearly see the arch of Xia Baiyuan’s eyebrows.
Stable and beautiful.
Lu Xi smiled, warm tears streaming down his face.
Step by step, he walked towards Xia Baiyuan. From one end to the other.
He held Xia Baiyuan’s hand, palm burning hot, although he wasn’t drunk, he felt dizzy.
The music and his father’s speech sounded, but he couldn’t hear anything. Xia Baiyuan tilted his head, as if trying to remind him of something, but Lu Xi stepped forward and hugged him tightly.
A look of surprise flashed across Xia Baiyuan’s face, quickly turning into resignation and indulgence.
“Well, I hope you still remember the procedure.” Amidst the cheers, Lu Xi kissed Xia Baiyuan.
“Ah, why is every wedding so chaotic? I can never get a good shot!”
In mid-air, the system dumpling complained while holding the camera. One after another, the weddings never followed the procedure, making it tough for it, the pillar of the entire family! Just then, the system heard a familiar “click” sound.
Ah, wasn’t that—
Following the sound, it saw a white egg on a small platform in the main hall, shaking slightly, with a deep and hidden crack.
Not far away, Ling glanced at the system.
The system gasped and quickly picked up the camera, clicking.
In the photo, the newlywed zerg couple, embracing each other, turned to look at the egg that was cracking open. Some guests hadn’t reacted yet, while others had widened their eyes and exclaimed.
Inside the egg, a small black head peeked out. The azure-blue eyes looked curiously at its zerg parents.
– This moment will be eternally frozen in time.
No matter how many storms are weathered, no matter how long the journey, this moment will be engraved in everyone’s hearts.
This is the culmination of a love spanning three thousand years, the final curtain call.
