MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1141 An Offer

1141  An Offer

Whoosh!

Without even giving anyone time to process what he just said, Scho'doxa went ahead and conjured a rift beside him, only for a being that looked just like a normal person to appear beside him in front of everyone.

However, as everyone looked at the being for a bit longer, they gradually began to notice that the being wasn't really an actual person.

If anything, it only resembled one.

Though its structure looked similar to the three races that were most prevalent in Veldanyr, almost all of the parts making up its body were more metallic and synthetic in nature, causing it to faintly give off a lifeless air.

"I see…" With that realization, almost a third of the over 6 million people on the field only took a little bit more time to understand what was going on, their eyes widening with both understanding and curiosity as they continued to glance at the being that stood beside Scho'doxa.

Of course, because of their newfound understandings, some of the people near them began to ask them what they found out from looking at the being.

However, most of them still continued to stare at the metallic being beside the man, hoping that the man himself would give them insight on what was going on.

Bitterly smiling as he noticed the gazes he was receiving, Scho'doxa faintly let out a low sigh as he placed his hand over the being's shoulder. "For reference, this is an example of the human puppets you'll be fighting during the third round."

"In other planets, these beings are generally known as androids or robots," said the man. "However, since your planet hasn't reached that level of technology yet… I guess the closest thing that could be comparable to what I've shown just now is a humanoid energy construct."

"What?!" Though almost everyone on the field was confused at first when they heard the terms Scho'doxa uttered out, that confusion immediately turned into shock when the man soon corrected himself.

Most of the people on the field knew what an energy construct was. In essence, it was a complex structure made out of mana to fulfill a specific purpose.

A good example of that would be the teleportation constructs used by the various guilds to teleport their members from one place to another.

With that in mind, almost all of them began to associate energy constructs as something so complex that only had the ability to fulfill a single purpose.

Yet, at that moment, Scho'doxa was telling them something that went against what they knew.

Of course, that was none other than the notion that there were energy constructs out there that had the ability to fulfill several purposes instead of just one.

Because of that, a considerable portion of the crowd began to discuss what Scho'doxa told them, with most of them being those who'd devoted a great part of their lives towards the innovation of energy constructs.

Seeing as the man hovering above them had given them a new goal to strive for, it went without saying that their voices gradually grew louder and louder, their words eventually blanketing the entire crowd of over 6 million people.

Surprisingly, no one told them to shut up. If anything, most, if not all of them were in support of their plans of attempting to emulate what Scho'doxa just showed them.

After all, if they were to become successful in copying even a small portion of what the being beside Scho'doxa could do, they were more than certain that the innovations they made would possibly usher in a new era for Veldanyr.

'To think I'd see an android this early on.' On the other hand, Valyr's attention was still mostly focused on the being beside Scho'doxa, his eyes gleaming with interest.

Though he did listen to the discussions that were happening around him every once in a while, the young man did not really pay mind to it much. After all, energy constructs weren't really his field of expertise.

With that, his mind instead thought about how long it'd take him to get to the point of being able to create an android himself, considering that his field of expertise was mostly in the world of technology.

'Yeah…' In the end, Valyr was eventually forced to shelve the thought for the meantime, reminding himself that he was still nowhere near completing any of the goals he'd set for himself in his current life.

'Not only that, but if I were really adamant in creating an android right now, I'd need a ton more Technology Points, materials, and money than I currently have access to,' thought the young man to himself as he faintly shook his head. 'And even with that, I'd only be able to create a crude version of one.'

By the time Valyr was finished with his train of thought, almost everyone had also finished their discussions as well, allowing Scho'doxa to continue his explanation of how the third round would work.

After making sure that everyone had an idea of what their opponent was for the third round, the man then proceeded to explain that it was up to them on how hard of an opponent they would like to fight.

Going through the four levels of difficulty he offered them in considerable detail, Scho'doxa then told them that they were guaranteed a reward no matter how difficult of an opponent they chose.

Of course, he clarified that the reward for the third round only got better if the opponent they chose was of a higher difficulty.

"With that being said, even though I feel like a broken record for saying this again, don't bite off more than you could chew," reminded Scho'doxa once more, prompting everyone to become silent as they nodded in response. "There's nothing wrong with experimenting to find out your limits, but have the conscience to know when to retreat."

"Aside from that, the way you forfeit from the third round is pretty similar to the second round," continued the man, recalling that he'd almost forgotten to mention it back in the previous round. "Just say the words 'I surrender' and I'll send you back to your home planet."

After that, the man gave everyone a heads-up that the third round would start on the following day, finally allowing everyone on the field to get the well-needed rest they deserved.

"So, how did you guys fare during the second round?" Having been separated from the four due to Scho'doxa's actions during the previous round, it took a while for Valyr to find Julian and the others amongst the sea of people on the field.

"Pretty good." Of course, all of them were glad and relieved to see Valyr the moment he appeared, though Wells began to look at him with a hint of envy. "I was able to kill the eighth beast before I decided to forfeit."

"On the other hand, Edward right here was able to kill the tenth beast!" continued the man, pointing at the young teenager resting beside him.

In response to those words, Edward briefly flashed a smile at Valyr before revealing the golden pill he'd gotten from Scho'doxa.

Nodding back as he smiled at the young teenager's achievement, Valyr congratulated Edward for obtaining the special reward before shifting his attention towards Julian and Noel. "How did you guys do?"

"Honestly, far better than I thought," said Julian with a big grin on his face. "I thought I'd only get up to the fifth beast and just barely pass the second round. Yet, against all expectations, my Intent transformed into Force!"

As Valyr's eyes widened in surprise at Julian's words, the latter continued his narration of events. "Because of that, I was able to kill off the tenth beast and got the special reward."

Briefly glancing at the small bottle Julian got from Scho'doxa, Valyr also congratulated him before shifting his gaze towards Noel. "How about you, Elder Noel? How did you do?"

"Did similarly to that friend of yours," replied the old man after a bit of thought as he pointed at Wells. "Killed the eighth beast before I thought I'd reached my limit."

"Though, I think it won't be long before my strength undergoes another improvement, if you know what I mean."

"…Is that so?" Listening to Noel's words, it did not take long for Valyr to put two and two together, understanding that the old man was talking about none other than Azure Energy.

Curious as to how much progress the man had made since the two of them left the Shadow Plane, the young man was just about to ask Noel about it… only to be interrupted by a familiar voice behind him.

"Excuse me." Feeling someone tap on his shoulder, a slight frown appeared on Valyr's face as he turned around to see who it was.

Immediately noticing the three pairs of eyes the man had, any complaints he had in his mind disappeared at that moment as he looked at the man in front of him with a smile.

"What can I do for you, Scho'doxa?"

"I have something to discuss with you." Returning the smile back to him, Scho'doxa responded to his query before looking at the four that were with Valyr. "I suppose you four wouldn't have any problems if I took him away for a while?"

Receiving a series of shaking heads in response, the man faintly smiled at the four before snapping his fingers, causing both him and Valyr to disappear from their sights.

Whoosh!

Not long after, both Scho'doxa and Valyr appeared in a desolate corner of the field, with the nearest being to them over a hundred kilometers away.

"So…" Taking in a deep breath to adjust to his current surroundings, Valyr's expression turned solemn as he looked at Scho'doxa. "What can I actually do for you?"

"It's not a request, if that's what you're thinking." The man got straight to the point. "If anything, it's more of an offer."

"What kind of offer are we talking?" asked Valyr back, his eyebrow raised in curiosity.

"An offer where both of us will surely benefit," said Scho'doxa with a faint smile. "In any case, I think you know where this conversation is heading."

"Have you ever heard of the Galactic Eminence tournament before?"
