Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva

Chapter 53 Black Crystal

On the other hand, with Annelli's help, Tilan's application for the new club finally passed.

"President Amors said the activity room for our club is on the top floor of this building," the silver-haired girl led the way in front. This place was next to the eastern square of the Academy, surrounded by several buildings with heights that varied, and the periphery was lined with neatly arranged garden trees, creating a beautiful scenery.

Entering this silver building, the two could see many students and occasionally hear laughter and playful noises.

"In this building, many rooms are allocated for student clubs to use as activity rooms. Some create stages inside, some use them as bars or restaurants, while others have even converted them into large swimming pools and so forth, quite according to their wishes," Annelli continued to introduce.

"The club contents are very rich and free, from the most basic literature and sports to racing, science and research, fashion, games, and so on. As long as the project you propose is roughly reasonable and has a plausible justification, the school will approve the funding for activities and can even help remodel the activity room."

"That kind of spending must be significant," Tilan remarked, feeling astonished once again at Edith Academy's generous spending, as if the school never ran out of money.

"The annual expenses of Edith Academy on each student, on average, come to about 1.5 million Federation Coins. For outstanding students, it can be several times higher, including catering and accommodation, funding for high-rank teachers, consumption of experimental equipment, and so on."

"Though it sounds like a lot, when distributed across various projects, it's actually not that much. If it's a prestigious school in the Central Star Domain, the standard might be doubled," Annelli seemed unperturbed by these expenses, thinking they were quite reasonable.

"Don't skew my world view, okay, Annelli?" The girl sighed lightly, resting a hand on her forehead and feeling the unevenness of the world.

While they talked, they stepped into a gray transparent metallic egg, and shortly after, this slightly novel elevator rapidly ascended within the tube, yet it was extremely stable inside, with no unusual sensations.

After more than ten seconds, they stepped out of the elevator onto the top floor of the building.

"This place…" Gazing at the spacious and transparent floor similar to Dream of Glazed Glass, the girl couldn't help but hold her breath.

The vast top floor, as large as a football field, had not a single pillar, open and exceptionally spacious, clean, and orderly, reflecting the sky on the floor beneath their feet, extraordinarily beautiful.

At the very end of this expansive floor, there was the only desk, and turning around at that spot offered a sweeping view of a large part of the Academy.

"Although it is very luxurious, such an activity room feels like it shouldn't be used for lazy slacking," the girl murmured in a soft critique.

"Are you not satisfied, Tilan? I could speak to President Amors again," Annelli turned her head, asking sheepishly, making the girl feel that Annelli herself had requested such an extravagant and bold activity room from President Amors.

"It was your idea after all, wasn't it?" The girl voiced what was on the other's mind, leaving Annelli no choice but to scratch her head, trying to adorably brush it off.

"Tilan is still so perceptive." Annelli felt like the black-haired girl in front of her could almost read minds, always able to guess her intentions.

Could this be the impressive aspect of the Songstress Talent? Although she had heard about it before, she had never truly felt it profoundly.

No wonder those big shots didn't come to see Tilan themselves but sent her as a go-between. They probably knew the strengths of a Songstress well and tried to avoid direct contact as much as possible.

After a tour around the vacant top floor, Annelli introduced the advantages of this activity room, including the dome that could be transparent and serve as a simulated sky.

"It allows for the enjoyment of natural scenery and can also simulate various preferred weather conditions. The floor is the same, serving as a screen that can simulate forests, seabeds, grasslands, and various other landscapes."

"I've seen something similar before," the girl looked up at the sky and then shook her head, indicating she understood the advantages of these facilities.

"However, I still want to find a place for the activity room that's a bit cozier, not so formal that it makes people uncomfortable."

"Alright then..." Annelli looked down, feeling a bit dejected, as if she had been more of a hindrance than a help.
Experience tales at empire

"Come on, I didn't mean to blame you, don't feel so down," the girl consoled her.

Afterwards, Annelli made another request to the student council, and then received a new response.

The next day, Annelli brought Tilan to the level below, which was the second to last floor from the top.

This level was divided into four sections, each an enclosed room belonging to different clubs, and Tilan was given the key to one of the large rooms.

Upon entering, the interior was divided into three parts by partitions—a small area for living amenities like bathing and a small kitchen, a large activity room in the center, and a resting area on the other side.

"This place will do," Tilan nodded in satisfaction.

"Next, we'll start recruiting club members," said the black-haired girl, sitting in a corner of the activity room, her knees hugged to her chest, deep in thought.

First things first, the club's manifesto, how to describe it to others? Surely, she couldn't just say she was setting up a club to complete a mission. The girl slightly shook her head, her gaze shifting to Annelli who was organizing things nearby.

Despite being the young mistress of Silver Leaf Workshop, she was doing errands like a follower, but from the looks of it, she seemed to be enjoying herself and didn't find it boring at all.

"Annelli," the girl called out softly.

"Hmm, what is it, Tilan?"

"Why are you so happy every day? I'm a bit curious."

"Because I'm with Tilan," Annelli said matter-of-factly, surprising the girl with her response.

"Why so, I haven't done anything special at the academy, have I?" Tilan was puzzled.

"How should I explain this," Annelli pondered.

"A Tilan deep in thought is cute, a Tilan sitting quietly on the chair is like a beautiful doll, impossible to take one's eyes off, a Tilan practicing the violin is very beautiful, Tilan's voice is very pleasant, Tilan can easily capture the hearts of Deloris and many others, Tilan is innocent but not naive, and doesn't say things that make people angry, it's easy for you to understand my feelings, you don't ignore me, Tilan looks magnificent when dancing with a sword, Tilan is very smart, learns many things quicker than I do, the undiscovered Tilan is like a concealed gem, captivating, being a songstress, following Tilan is my mission, I've always been doing what the mission entrusts me to do, which is very fulfilling, so I'm very happy~"

A string of words made the girl turn her head away, embarrassed.

Really now, has Annelli always been like this? The girl thought to herself quietly, ultimately no longer probing into how Annelli perceived her.

Perhaps, it's only she who assumes she's ordinary, while in the eyes of others, she is a rare flawless black crystal, quietly waiting to be discovered one day.
