Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva

Chapter 246: Revisiting 'Dream of Glazed Glass

``` Life at home suddenly became very relaxed, no longer having to worry about the complex things at the Academy. I spent my days watching TV, occasionally sleeping in, eating when I woke up and then reading a book, playing with a few little guys, helping them to bathe and groom their feathers, and then going back to sleep. This routine lasted for nearly five days, and Tilan began to feel a bit bored at home. It was then that she remembered that it was time to meet an old friend. She changed into light clothing, warm cotton socks, donned tea-colored sunglasses and a sun hat, grabbed her handbag, and stepped out of her house in cute light-colored leather shoes. Although it was winter, it wasn't very cold underground, never dropping below 7-8° C, and generally above 10° during the day. Walking through the familiar streets, Tilan headed toward Topstar Tower, home to 'Dream of Glazed Glass'. First, she took the elevator to the upper level of Payin City and then entered Topstar Tower. Not long after stepping into the elevator, Tilan encountered a woman who was also a passenger. The woman had gray-blue short hair and was dressed in a sharp business outfit, seemingly a government employee. The woman nodded slightly to Tilan before standing quietly beside her, both waiting for the elevator to reach their destination. Upon reaching the floor housing 'Dream of Glazed Glass', Tilan stepped out of the elevator and entered this familiar world of glass. In the spacious hall, as polished as a mirror, stood variously styled bars and private booths, and occasionally one could spot a maid passing through. Not much had changed from the past; the place was quiet, with soft music playing now and then to prevent the environment from becoming too monotonous. The artificial sky on the ceiling floated white snowflakes down, and there were wreaths woven from frozen greenery hanging on the walls inside. Decorations for the winter festival weren't due to be taken down just yet. "The Bunny Cup competition will begin shortly. Guests interested in watching, please gather in the battle area~" Not long after entering 'Dream of Glazed Glass', Tilan heard the familiar voice of 'Belfeng'. Sure enough, a quick scan of the room revealed the bunny-eared girl standing on a box. She was as energetic as ever today, donning a white, snug, one-piece short dress with sneakers adorned with fluffy pompoms and bells that jingled crisply with every hop. While Tilan wanted to catch up with her, Hexia preferred not to go where the crowds were dense. After all, she only wore simple makeup today and had altered her hair color. It would be troublesome if she were recognized by the patrons in this place. Changing direction, Tilan headed toward the vine-carved flower room where 'Andusia' was located, following a path well-trodden in her memory. This glass-and-vine enclosure housed several new potted plants and flowers, increasing the variety, and the floor had been replaced with fine white stone slabs. Walking on them felt like moving through an ancient court, creating an immersive beauty like stepping into another world. Approaching the depths under the hanging vines of the flower room, Tilan instantly spotted Andusia sitting inside. The golden-haired elf's appearance hadn't changed at all, and she was presently chatting with another black-haired maid seated in front of her, occasionally sipping floral tea. "Hello, may I ask if you are..." As Tilan approached, Andusia stood up to greet her. Just as she was about to inquire, Tilan took off her glasses and her hair returned to its usual gray shade, allowing Andusia to recognize her. "Is it 'Dantalion'?" Andusia's voice held a hint of surprise. "Yes," the girl nodded, then stepped closer, while the maid who was sitting with her back to Tilan turned around. It was 'Nabe Rius', whom she had met several times before, a maid who excelled at dressmaking among her peers, with black hair that reached her waist. "Dantalion is back," she turned around, looking at Tilan curiously. "Are you still comfortable at the Academy?" Andusia invited Tilan to sit and then poured her a cup of fragrant tea. "I am comfortable at school, but, over these two years, I've really encountered many new things," the girl held the tea cup and took a small sip, responding. ``` "That's good..." After that, Andusia continued to ask about Tilan's situation, and then talked about the changes in 'Dream of Glazed Glass'." "Actually, compared to the past, there haven't been many changes, just a few of the maids have been replaced." Andusia spoke of the maids who had left and then mentioned a few new ones. "'Vurowus' went back home, 'Sai Gong' went to the Northern First District, and it's said that she opened a small bar there. 'Belfeng' is currently getting used to the manager's work, and it's said that in one or two years, it will be her turn to be the manager." "Is 'Huale' sister still there?" The girl remembered the maid she used to spend a lot of time with. "She's still there, probably busy at the moment, and will only have some free time in the afternoon." "As for 'Botis,' you probably can't get in touch with her as usual. That girl is as lazy as ever, and occasionally takes a leave to go drinking," Andusia said about the situation in the store. Afterwards, the two talked about the changes over the past two years, and then Andusia also inquired about how the girl's violin learning was going, along with her situation at the academy, and so on. "I can now play quite a few pieces on the violin," the girl replied with a hint of confidence. Before leaving 'Dream of Glazed Glass,' she only knew three pieces, but now she was able to proficiently perform various complex pieces. "It sounds like Dantalion has been working hard as well." Andusia gently applauded, and 'Nabe Rius' next to her, watching the interaction between the two, also smiled. "Alright, I won't keep you here any longer; you probably want to catch up with quite a few people today." Seeing that the girl seemed eager to meet others, Andusia spoke up for her in advance. "Thank you, Sister Andusia," the girl sweetly answered, and then, after thinking for a moment, she took out a small, delicate star and moon ornament from her carry-on bag and placed it on the table. "This is a little gift I brought for you, Sister Andusia." In front of the girl, this satellite-like ornament had a blue sphere floating in the middle, surrounded by several small points of light revolving around it. Every few seconds, the circle around the blue sphere would expand and contract with the sphere, causing a mist-like ripple to burst forth, created by the Array inside the blue sphere. Under the illumination of the light, the mist produced a rainbow-like halo. "Thank you, little Dantalion." Graciously accepting the gift from Tilan, the two waved goodbye to each other for the time being. After leaving the ivy-covered room, the girl arrived at the familiar jungle room, and the bag in her hand moved. The large spider that had been lying inside asleep the whole time now jumped out and quickly moved across the ground, one moment climbing a tree, the next hiding in a corner deep in the forest, and then walking in front of Tilan, seemingly very excited, as this was a visit to an old haunt after all. Deep in the jungle, the girl found the green-haired maid feeding small animals by the pond. 'Botis,' as always, was placing the small plates of cubed food on the ground separately to prevent some of the animals from fighting, and for the larger snakes and lizards, 'Botis' fed them personally. "Sister Botis~" Waving to her, the girl called out affectionately, while at her feet, the large spider quickly dashed toward Botis and jumped into her arms. "Dantalion... pfft, it's you," said Botis as she was about to greet the girl. She hugged the big spider in her arms and stroked its head, feeling its happy and excited mood. Although it preferred to stay by Tilan's side, the big spider still had a lot of affection for Botis, after all, it was Botis who had bought it from the courtyard and gave it a life of ease and comfort. "You two have grown up," Botis said, holding the big spider and looking at Tilan with a happy smile.
