Chapter 3: Prologue - Part 3
As the Creeper moves closer, they run away from it and hide behind a building.
Jesse: That creeper was glowing.
Inumaki: That's cus it was a charged creeper.
Jesse: Charged creeper?
Inumaki: Yes. When lightning falls on a creeper, it becomes a charged creeper. Its explosion becomes much more powerful then. It's possible that a charged creeper was responsible for the attack here.
Jesse: But don't the creepers die when they explode? How is this one alive?
Inumaki: It's possible there was more than 1 charged creeper here.
Jesse: Seriously?
Inumaki: While extremely low chances, it still is possible.
Jesse: So what do we do?
Inumaki: If we get too close, it will notice and might explode. When that happens, we will not be able to get far away from his explosion range. So we need to sneak attack. I hope we don't need to use the cheats.
Jesse: Cheats?
Inumaki: Yeah, don't worry about that right now. First, we need to see if we can get any opening or not.
Jesse: Uhm…Alright.
They try to distract the creeper by one of them making sounds to attract it, while the other tries to attack it from behind but before they can get too close the creeper notices the sound and turns around, so they are forced to hide away.
Inumaki: I wish we would have brought arrows. This would have been over in a minute.
Jesse considers calling out Jean but decides to trust his own skills instead of relying on her always. Jesse creates multiple distractions for the creeper allowing Inumaki to reach close to it before it could notice. Inumaki hits the creeper with his sword but the creeper doesn't die. Before he could strike again, the creeper starts glowing and making a hissing sound. Inumaki quickly hides behind a block, causing the creeper to not explode. He then runs away to a different hiding spot.
Jesse: That was close.
Inumaki: We didn't consider that it might not die in a single hit. We might not be able to beat it that easily.
Jesse: Or we could just use this strategy again.
Inumaki: I barely managed to escape this time. If the creeper explodes, we both die. We might not get a similar chance again.
Jesse: So what should we do?
Inumaki: I have a better way to kill it. Looks like I'm finally doing this.
Jesse: Doing what?
Inumaki: Jesse, in this server special players have access to special commands that they can use in different situations. Forced by the rules of this server, each player can get access to commands in different conditions. I am able to use one command. When I use it, run towards the creeper and strike it multiple times. Do not let the opportunity go to waste.
Jesse: What are you talking about? What command?
Inumaki: Just get ready and prepare yourself.
They both get in position. Inumaki uses a command to freeze the tick of the creeper, stopping it from moving.
Inumaki: Now Jesse!
Jesse quickly runs towards the creeper and attacks it multiple times, while the creeper doesn't move at all. The creeper finally dies.
Inumaki: You did it, Jesse. You killed the creeper.
Jesse: What did you do exactly?
Inumaki: I can use a command to freeze the tick of any entity. This causes it to freeze.
Jesse: You can do that, yet we were struggling to fight it. Why didn't you use it from the start?
Inumaki: Each player has access to limited commands and usages. I can't use them very often.
Jesse: What happens if one uses commands more than allowed?
Inumaki: The mods ban them.
Jesse: Oh. But still, it's a cool ability to have.
Inumaki: Right? Now let's head back. We need to report this.
Jesse: Yeah.
During the fight, Jesse accidentally dropped his ID which is lying on the floor. When the both of them leave the place, a female player arrives there and picks up the card.
After this Jesse started taking missions regularly. He trained with the others and Steve and had become a very skilled player. He hardly ever calls out Jean from the egg. The organization held a friendly PvP tournament called the Goodwill Event PvP Tournament between the new players under 2 experienced players. One group was Steve's group, while the other was a group under a player named Utahime, Steve's old friend who actually doesn't like Steve much. They always hold tournaments to determine who is the better trainer and whose group has better players. While both groups have experienced players Steve's group often lost since he was not a great trainer. However this time Jesse single-handedly defeated all the players in Utahime's group. He had started to earn his reputation as a Special grade in the server.
One day when Jesse and his friends decide to have some fun and go on an adventure in the server, they see a Ghast coming from above towards them.
Maki: A Ghast? In the overworld? What the Nether is it doing here?
Panda: You can just say what the hell.
Maki: Yeah but it sounds cool.
As they prepare to fight it they see a person on top of the ghast, riding it. The ghast lands in the HQ, and the player on top jumps down.
Unknown Player: What's up everyone? How are you all doing? Enjoying the game?
Maki: Who the hell are you? And why were you riding a Ghast?
Unknown Player: Oh you guys don't know me? I thought they trained players here. They don't teach you the stuff that matters I guess. What was it? Protect villagers and some bullshit like that?
Panda: Look we don't know who you are but you better leave before Jesse beats you up.
Jesse: Huh?
Inumaki: Yes yes.
Maki: Yeah you better go on your own before Jesse makes you.
Jesse: What?
Suddenly the player moves past the 3 and holds Jesse's hands.
Unknown Player: Are you Jesse? Oh, it's so nice to meet you finally. I've heard so much about you. Sadly I couldn't see you in action but I know you possess an unimaginable power.
Panda: (She's so fast.)
Unknown Player: The power that you possess might get wasted with people like these. Do you ever wonder whether the state of the players in the game is becoming worse? Whether we need to change our view of this world and do something about the different challenges that the players face here?
Jesse: Uhm…I don't…
Steve: Hey Alex! Stop trying to brainwash them.
Steve arrives with a few Pro Players. Alex sees Steve and smiles.
Alex: Steve! Long time no see. How are you?
Steve: Why are you here Alex?
Alex: Oh down to business straight away huh? I thought we'd catch up first. Remember our good ol days but you've become boring it seems. I knew this place would change you. You've become like every other player here.
Steve: I'd say we are way past the friendliness. We have orders to engage you on sight. Would you explain why is it that you came here today? You four, get away from her.
He signals Jesse and the others to get away from Alex.
As they get away from her, other players from Jujutsu Pros surround them. Suddenly a few other players come from behind and stand behind Alex. They are Alex's followers.
Alex: Oh. Are you scared I will hurt them? You know I don't harm players, unless necessary. It's the villagers that I hate. Useless NPCs.
Jesse: Villagers?
Alex: Yes. You see these useless NPCs are the greatest cause of suffering for us players. Sooner or later you will realize that life would be good without them. We players could really enjoy our experience if they don't exist.
Jesse: But aren't we players supposed to coexist with the villagers? They help us and we save them. I'd say they enrich our experience.
Alex: I'm sad how these people brainwash new players. The power that you possess can really help us change this world for the good. We need to work together. With our combined powers, we can kill all the villagers on this server.
Everyone is shocked to hear this.
Jesse: Kill…all villagers?
Steve: Alex. Did you come here to recruit our players to your cause?
Alex: Can't hurt to try. No. I'm here to declare war.
Steve: War?
Alex: The Night Parade of a 100 Demons! My plan will finally be set in motion. I've spent all this time capturing different mobs, adding them to my army, for this moment. In 2 days, I'll release all my mobs in Beacon Town. A 1000 mobs will attack and kill all the villagers there. It would be fun. It will also test the might of the jujutsu pros. To see how strong you guys are and whether you will be able to protect villagers from my attack. Once I've scaled the potential of my mobs against you people, I can then carry on with killing all the villagers in every single village. It's an all-out war. Between Jujutsu Pros and me and my mobs. Let's display a truly magnificent Minecraft Gaming experience.
One of Alex's followers shouts.
Unknown Player: Ms. Alex. The sale is about to end.
Alex: Is that so? Sorry Steve, but I promised them I would buy new skin for their accounts. So I gotta go now.
As Alex starts walking towards her ghast Steve stops her.
Steve: Did you really think we would let you go away? That too after making that threat?
Alex: You didn't notice did you?
Suddenly Steve sees that Jesse and his friends are surrounded by several spawn eggs.
Alex: They are in the range and you know I can spawn them all in an instant. They might not be able to survive.
Steve: I thought you said you didn't want to hurt players?
Alex: Not unless necessary. Remember. No act should be meaningless. Me escaping right now is necessary for my plan.
He climbs on the ghast with the rest of his followers and flies away. The spawn eggs then disappear.
The HQ in charge Masamichi calls an emergency meeting for everyone.
Ijichi: Alex is a special-grade Mob controller player. She was a former member of the Jujutsu Pros before she turned rogue for killing an entire village and burning it down with her mobs. She created a group of players who shared similar beliefs as her: All villagers should be killed for players to play peacefully. She is estimated to own more than 2000 mobs under her.
Steve: That is only an estimate. The real number would be way more than that.
Masamichi: Still. Most of them would be weak NPC mobs that we can easily kill. It's her followers we need to worry about.
Steve: I don't think it will be that easy. I don't think Alex will start a war she thinks she can't win.
Masamichi: God Damn. We need to call out all factions of Jujutsu Pros for this. Alex just declared war against all Players. We need every Player we can get. She needs to be killed once and for all…
At Alex's Base:
Alex: …Is something that idiot would have said. But we don't need to worry.
Larue: But if that's true then they will be calling all the pro players in the server. That would cause us a lot of difficulty. We are not so many in number ourselves. And it won't be that difficult for all these pro players to kill all those mobs.
Alex: Yes. It's true that our chances of winning our less than 20%. But there is something that will change those chances to 99%.
Larue: What's that?
The night of the Night Parade of a 100 Demons:
Nanami: All different groups have been posted to guard all sectors of Beacon Town. We are all prepared here.
Steve: And the new players?
Masamichi: Panda and Inumaki have had experience fighting clusters of mobs before so they are here. Jesse is still new and with Jean, we can't risk it, so he is at the HQ right now.
Steve: Alone?
Masamichi: Maki is with him. With the Zenin group helping us, we were forced to leave Maki out of this one.
Steve: So we are prepared to face Alex's army head-on?
Masamichi. Yes. I'll be in the shelter with Shoko, managing the groups and helping out with the Injured.
Steve: Cool.
Nanami: I'll head out as well.
Steve: Alright. Good luck.
They are all waiting in anticipation of Alex's mobs.
