Midnight Prince: Empire of Sin

Chapter 396: VS THE QUEEN BEE (1)

Adam stepped into the largest room at the end of the tunnels that covered the entirety of the beehive and was finally able to land his eyes on the person who had been trying to entice him into entering this trap.

It was a beautiful woman, who was stripped bare, being naked from head to toe with long flowing golden hair and yellowish-golden skin.

She had a large smile plastered on her face and a voluptuous body that seemed to defy gravity itself as it stood tall. Her golden-themed skin made her look like a work of art while her black sclera and deep red eyes gave her a menacing look— one that could put fear into any brave's heart.

A mixture between enticement and fear was thus generated by the mesmerizing individual. It was the perfect blend of enticement and danger. Adam gazed at her through the 'Eyes of Truth', though he knew that it was useless to use such a skill in this world, he simply needed basic information on her that would help him understand his opponent even a little.

[ Name: ????

Race: Unknown ]

It seemed like she had indeed evolved and managed to create the start of a new race by herself that wasn't registered on this world's index yet. He wasn't much surprised since this place was truly a chaotic plane when it came to certain rules and the sort.

"So you are the young one who stirred so much problem for me recently, I presume…"

Her voice was suave, enticing, and utterly beautiful… he felt like he was listening to the calming waves of the sea by the beach as they tried to lull him into feeling a sense of security like no other. This kind of power reminded him of a Mermaid or rather a Sirene.

"I didn't really want to cause any problems. You guys were the ones who continued sending soldiers after me."

"Hahaha… I would love to argue who was right or who was wrong between the two of us but I believe that it's ultimately useless, don't you think? In the end, the one who dies will be the one who is in the wrong anyways."n0.0

As she spoke those words, translucent wings manifested on her naked back and she slowly started to leave the ground and float into the open space of the massive hive.

Adam observed her quietly while gazing at the remnants of all the bees sprawled about in this place who were missing parts of their bodies.

"So you killed your own children to become stronger and face me, I reckon…"

"You are wrong on that part, little one."

The Queen was now floating high into the air, "I did not kill them. They are alive, all inside of me, cheering me and sharing their power with me and bringing me up to a new level… and soon, the same will happen to you as well, little one…"

Whoosh~!

Faster than one could even blink their own eyes, a large stinger appeared behind her and rushed toward him at full force while shining brightly and illuminating the dark. It was as large as a full-grown human body and Adam had no doubt that should it reach him, he would be destroyed nigh immediately. However, he had no fear, nor any pressure.

"One."

Diego, morphed into the form of one of the shadows, manifested from the ground and immediately stood in front of him with a shield on its shadowy protrusions, blocking the massive attack of the previous Queen Bee while the shadow of Miguel continued to hide in the depths and wait for the right moment to deal a fatal strike.

"Those shadows!"

The voice of the once Queen of the bees became shrill and harsh as she witnessed the sight. Those shadows were one of the reasons why Adam had managed to survive for so long and inflict so much damage on the bees and other insects which attacked him. There was a clear reason why she hated the shadowy protrusions quite a bit but she did not let her anger cloud her judgments.

There were two shadows and now wasn't the time to miss them. This was why she flew high in the open space of the large room. All to avoid the possibility of being caught off guard by one of the hateful and slippery shadowy summon of the hateful being.

"You know. I think you are honestly pretty stupid."

Adam laughed quietly before muttering, "The reason why I suffered so much against you guys wasn't because you were strong, but simply because there were far too many of you guys. But now, you even dare to stand in front of me in a one vs one battle? It's honestly laughable, to say the least."

Adam chuckled and as he spoke those words, the flame of the Sun started to flicker around him, even in his mouth as he invoked the card of the Sun. The temperature increased greatly, making the somewhat closed place quite suffocating to survive in.

"I think I need to make something clear. You cannot beat me."

"You think so? Then let's see… between us two… just who is the strongest."

Adam grinned, the queen laughed, and soon—

BOOM~!

The two became nothing but blurry pictures as they started to move faster than ever before and entered a new level of speed.

The moment their fists crossed, a large shockwave blasted through the surroundings, causing the ground to tremble greatly due to its impact.

A fierce fight between the two swift and ever illusory fighters began and each of them moved at a speed that was beyond what others could possibly hope to even reach.

The last few days had been quite exhausting for Adam as he fought again and again against numerous opponents. Each fight had been extremely exhausting but at the same time, they had been enough for him to wake up all the senses that had been lying dormant in his mind all this time.

"Hahah! What do you think!? I absorbed the Dreamforce of all of my soldier bees. Do you think you can match me!?"

The short exchange stopped and the two separated from each other. But while this had been a draw, the Queen was excited. This was her very first fight in all her life after all. But thanks to the memory of her children, it was as if she had been fighting all her life.

All she needed to do now was to slowly assimilate those experiences and efficiently maneuver herself…

"You will be the perfect grinding stone for me to rise further."

Adam simply cracked his bones and stretched, unconcerned by her words.

"I believe we will soon see just who is the stepping stone between the two of us. Breaking news… It won't be me."

His smile became even more savage as the flames surrounding his body seemed to vanish and steam started rising from all around his body, while the air started cooling rapidly due to his sudden maneuver.

"Let me show you, the difference between you and me."

[Burning Blood]

The Queen blinked only once— then she felt the impact of a hard fist against her face propelling her so far that she broke through the walls of her own beehive.
