Chapter 4: 4. Class Rep
As the bell rang, signalling the start of the second day for Class 1-A, I strolled in, hands in my pockets, wearing my usual nonchalant grin. The class was buzzing with energy, the air thick with excitement and curiosity for our first hero studies class. I looked around, spotting Tsuyu, Ochako, Momo, Mina, and Jiro chatting by their seats.
"Good morning, Gojo-san!!" Said Yaoyorozu as she greeted me as she noticed me.
"Yo," I called out lazily, sliding into the conversation. "Akira is fine. You ladies looking forward to today?"
Ochako beamed, "Totally! I mean, it's All Might's class! Isn't that exciting?"
"Hmm," I shrugged, feigning a bored look. "All Might, huh? Let's see if he's as great as they say."
Jiro gave me a sidelong glance, "You don't seem too impressed."
I just smirked, resting my head in my hand. "What can I say? High expectations and all."
Suddenly, a huge figure burst through the door, his booming voice filling the room. "I am here! Walking through the door like a normal person!"
Everyone's faces lit up, even Bakugo looked like he was actually excited. The chatter in the room hit a new high as everyone reacted to All Might's entrance. I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, impressed by the raw presence he brought with him.
"It's All Might," I muttered under my breath, grinning. "Guy's got style, I'll give him that."
I slid my sunglasses a little and activated my six eyes. "Eh..could it be that....."
All Might continued, his voice commanding attention, "I will be your teacher for hero studies!"
The class fell silent, hanging on to his every word.
"This is the most important class you will have at U.A. High," he announced, flashing a card with the word 'Battle' printed in bold. "Think of it as Heroing 101! In this class, you will learn the basics of becoming a hero!"
As excitement buzzed through the room, he revealed a set of cases, each marked with a different number.
"You all designed your own hero costumes. The tech support team has brought your designs to life!"
Mina grinned, "Our costumes? This is gonna be awesome!"
"Alright," All Might called out, "grab your cases, suit up, and meet me at Battle Zone 1!"
Everyone leapt up, rushing to grab their cases. My hero costume was not too much li?e a hero costum,e, buChanah. It wa the same as the one I wore in the battle with Sukuna. It was the most comfortable design I could fight in.
"Oh yeah," I muttered, striking a little pose, "too cool for school."
Satisfied, I strutted out, meeting up with the rest of the class as we made our way to Battle Zone 1.
As we headed toward Battle Zone 1, everyone was buzzing with excitement, glancing around at each other's hero costumes. I strolled in confidently, hands in my pockets, wearing my usual nonchalant grin as my classmates caught sight of my outfit—the same sleek black and white combat gear I'd worn against Sukuna, complete with the high collar, fingerless gloves, and a flowing belt.
Mina was the first to break the silence. "Whoa, Gojo—uh, Akira, you look like you walked right out of an action movie!"
Ochako nodded. "I didn't knew a hero costume could be so... intimidating and cool at the same time."
I anyway, rugged, adjusting my sunglasses. "What can I say? Gotta make a statement, right?"
Kaminari nuwas dged Kirishima, both of them gaping. "Dude, that's gotta be the coolest outfit I've ever seen!" Kaminari whispered, leaning closer.
"Manly as hell" Kirishima grinned, giving me a thumbs-up. "That costume totally suits you, Gojo!"
Bakugo scoffed, crossing his arms. "Tch. Just don't get in my way, Showoff."
I smirked, tilting my head back. "Oh, Bakugo, you're welcome to keep up with me if you can," I teased, raising my shades just enough to flash him a quick look with my six eyes.
Momo smiled politely. "Your style certainly is… unique, Akira. It feels like it has a lot of experience behind it."
"More than you might think," I said, letting a mysterious grin ssignallingoss my face.
Tsuyu tilted her head, giving me a curious look. "Ribbit, Aki chan. It is not armoure. Is it fine."
"Don't worry Tsu chan. Because, I am the strongest." I winked.
As Bakugo was going to blow up All Might's voice boomed over us. "Alright, students! Enough admiring each other—let's see those costumes in action! Make your way to Battle Zone 1, where we'll be testing your hero skills!"
"Time to show off," I muttered, keeping that smirk as I strutted forward, ready to make my mark.

Denki Kaminari, Yuga Aoyama & Mina Ashido (Team E) vs. Rikido Sato & Koji Koda (Team F)
-----
The first match ended. Team hero won. Midoriya arms were brokern. Poor boy. He still can't control his power. Should I become a senei?
But anyways the match was the coolest. I liked it.
As All Might announced the next matchup, my interest piqued. It was time for Team G—me and Jiro—to face off against Team C. Momo Yaoyorozu and Minoru Mineta. Jiro glanced over at me, her usual cool demeanor unwavering but with a hint of curiosity in her eyes.
"Alright, Akira, I know you're good, but got any tips for keeping them on their toes?" she asked, adjusting her earphone jacks.
I grinned, adjusting my sunglasses. "Oh, don't worry, Jiro. I'll handle the distraction; you just stay ready to take the objective."
Jiro raised an eyebrow. "You're not just planning to flash that grin and throw 'em off, are you?"
"Part of the plan," I chuckled, "but there's more to it."
All Might's voice boomed over the comms, signaling the start of our match. "Team G, your mission is to secure the 'nuclear weapon.' Team C, defend it with everything you've got!"
---
We entered the building, carefully assessing our surroundings. I can do it alone but let's give Jiro some part.
Momo and Mineta had set up a defensive perimeter with various barricades. I noted Momo's strategic setup—she'd crafted a small fortress, giving her and Mineta plenty of cover and high vantage points.
"Guess we've got a little fort to conquer," Jiro muttered, tapping her earlobes together to ready her sonic attacks.
"Nothing a little flair can't handle," I smirked.
Just as I took a step forward, a rubber-like ball hit the floor in front of me, bouncing a few times. Mineta's giggling echoed through the hallway.
"Hope you like my grape bombs!" Mineta sndefenceshrowing another batch our way.
I activated my Infinity, letting the sticky projectiles bounce harmlessly off the invisible barrier. Mineta's jaw dropped as his attacks were rendered useless.
"What?!" he gasped. "How're you blocking everything?"
"Oh, Mineta," I replied, smirking, "you'll have to do better than that."
I dashed forward, closing the distance between me and the barricade, Jiro following closely behind. Momo reacted quickly, creating a steel shield to protect herself as I charged, trying to reinforce her defensive position.
But I was faster.
With a flick of my wrist, I summoned a surge of cursed energy, creating a brief but powerful shthe ockwave that cracked through the barricade. Momo braced herself, attempting to hold her ground, but she was visibly shaken by the impact.
"Now's your chance, Jiro!" I called out.
Jiro dashed forward, using her earphone jacks to target the weakest points in the barricade. The sonic waves from her quirk reverberated through the walls, forcing Momo to momentarily retreat as the barriers around her weakened.
But just as we moved in on the objective, Momo tried a last-ditch effort—creating a smoke screen to obscure the area, covering both her and the objective. I couldn't see through it, but I simply closed my eyes, sensing the energy around us with Six Eyes.
I located Momo's position within the smoke and gestured to Jiro. "Aim five degrees to the left, and you'll find the objective."
With precision, Jiro unleashed another sonic blast, which tore through the smoke. Momo stumbled back, caught off guard, and Jiro quickly dashed in to seize the objective.
"All Might!" Jiro's voice crackled over the comm, "Team G has secured the target!"
All Might's hearty laugh filled the air. "Team G wins! llent teamwork, and well done improvising in the face of creative defenses!"
As the smoke cleared, Mineta was slumped on the floor, grumbling about his failed plans, while Momo looked at us, giving a respectful nod. Jiro and I exchanged a quick fist bump, satisfied with our victory.
"That was some nice work," Jiro said, a slight smile tugging at her lips.
"Eh, nothing to it," I said with a lazy grin. "Just a day's work for the great Gojo Akira."
With the win in the bag, we headed back to join the rest of the class, who were cheering us on as we wrapped up the exercise.
°•°•°•°•°•
As the class started winding down, a loud commotion echoed through the halls. The noise got louder as we walked toward the main entrance of U.A., and it became clear pretty quickly: reporters. Dozens of them buzzed around like excited bees, cameras and microphones in hand.
"Looks like U.A. really caught the media's attention," I said, smirking as I leaned back against the wall, hands in my pockets. "I should have brought popcorn."
As we stepped outside, the swarm of reporters spotted us, and they zeroed in on our group. Flashbulbs popped, and questions flew at rapid speed, eager to get anything about All Might.
"Hey, you in the sunglasses!" one reporter called out, pointing at me. "What's it like studying under All Might? What has he taught you?"
I grinned, my confidence oozing. "Oh, you know, just the basics: how to be awesome and look good doing it. But you'll have to wait for the scoop—I'm not one to spoil surprises."
The reporters scribbled notes, some looking intrigued, while others appeared annoyed by my vague answer. Another reporter shifted focus to Todoroki. "And you, young man! What's your take on the Symbol of Peace being a teacher here?"
Todoroki glanced over, his expression unchanging. "I came to U.A. for my own reasons. All Might's presence isn't my focus."
The crowd seemed confused, trying to figure out how to interpret his bluntness. I chuckled, crossing my arms. "That's our icy prince—no fluff, all chill."
Meanwhile, Bakugo stood a few steps back, arms crossed, looking like he was about to explode. "Can you idiots just leave us alone already?!"
I leaned over to Bakugo, a teasing grin on my face. "Aw, come on, Bakugo. Don't you want to give them your hot take on heroism? Maybe throw in a little 'Damn right, I'm the best'?"
Bakugo shot me a glare that could melt steel. "I don't need to explain myself to these extras!"
Suddenly, Present Mic's voice boomed over the speakers, breaking through the chaos. "Hey, media friends, if you could kindly step back and respect the space of our future heroes, that would be greatly appreciated! U.A. takes privacy very seriously!"
Reluctantly, the reporters began to back off, though a few lingered at the gates, still itching for a story.
I nudged Todoroki with my elbow, chuckling. "You know, one day, they'll be chasing us for headlines. Imagine the chaos."
He looked at me, expression unchanging but a slight smirk threatening to break through. "Maybe you'll get chased; I'll just be in the background, enjoying my coffee."
I laughed, shrugging playfully. "You're not fooling anyone, Todoroki. You've got star power too. Just embrace it."
Bakugo let out an exasperated huff. "Tch, whatever. This whole thing is annoying. Let's just get inside already."
I grinned at him.
In the class...
"Good work on yesterday's combat training," Aizawa said, scanning the entirety of the class. "I saw the video and the results."
He turned towards Bakugo. "Bakugo, you're talented, but you have to stop acting like a kid."
The hedgehog boy scowled. "I know."
Then, Aizawa looked over to Midoriya, who averted his gaze. "And Midoriya. You settled it by breaking your arm again, huh? You can't keep saying you can't help it because you can't control your Quirk. I don't like saying the same thing over and over. As long as you fix the control issue, there's a lot you'll be able to do."
Midoriya looked up.
"Feel a sense of urgency, Midoriya."
"Yes, sir!"
"Now let's get down to homeroom business." Aizawa turned back to the class.
Let's get down to business, to defeat the Huns.
"Sorry about the late homeroom notice, but today, I'll have you decide on a class representative."
"So boring" I just slept with my head on the desk.
Kirishima threw a hand into the air. I want το be class rep! Pick me!" exclaimed Kirishima.
"Me too!" added Kaminari.
"I want to do it too." Jiro raised her hand.
"I'll be the leader!" chirped Ashido, as she blocked Aoyama from saying anything.
Poor Aoyama.
Even Bakugo started to join in on the Class Rep battle.
This freaky class won't even let me sleep. Let's see what's going on.
"Silence, please!" yelled lida, causing the entire class to shut up. "It is a job with the serious responsibility of leading others. It is not a job for just anyone who wants to do it. It is a calling that requires the trust of those around you. If we want to use democracy to decide on a true leader, then we should hold an election to choose one."
"Your hand is raised the highest!" said the class.
"Why would you even suggest that?" asked Kaminari.
Asui placed a finger on her cheek. "We haven't known each other for that long, so how can we have trust or anything?"
"If that's the case, and everyone votes for themselves..."
lida pulled his hand down. "Don't you think that's precisely why whoever receives multiple votes here can be truly considered the most suitable person?"
I looked towards Aizawa, wondering what he was doing the entire time. I nearly burst out laughing.
"What do you think, Aizawa-sensei?!" queried lida, as he turned to Aizawa. He didn't seem fazed by his teacher's outfit change. And Aizawa seemed ready to hibernate for the rest of the school day.
"I don't care, as long as you decide before homeroom is over," he replied, comically sinking down behind the podium.
"Thank you very much!"
Let's see....whom should I vote?. It should be Iida ka guess.
Once everyone finished voting, the results were in. I looked at the top of the list and saw that there were four votes for Midoriya and three votes for Yaoyorozu.
"I got four votes?!" exclaimed Midoriya.
Bakugo stood up from his seat. "Why Deku?! Who voted for him?"
"Well, it's better than voting for you," Sero bluntly replied.
"Then the class rep is Midoriya, and the deputy class rep is Yaoyorozu," said Aizawa, as the two mentioned students stood before the class.
Midoriya was visibly shaking, clearly petrified. "S-S-Seriously? Seriously?"
Yaoyorozu turned away. "How vexing..."
***
"There are a lot of people today, too!" exclaimed Uraraka, looking around the cafeteria.
"That's because everyone in the hero course, support course, and management course meets in the same place." Said Midoriya.
Midoriya sighed. "Even though I've been chosen as class rep, I don't know if I'm qualified for it."
"You're definitely qualified for it, Midoriya," Akira said with an easy grin, looking towards him. Her relaxed demeanor put him at ease.
"It'll be fine," Iida stated. "Your courage and judgment at critical moments make you worth following. That is why I voted for you."
Midoriya was flabbergasted. "It was you?"
"But didn't you want to be class rep too, Iida?" Uraraka looked at him, completely ignoring the rice grain on her cheek. "I mean, you've got glasses and everything..."
"I wonder who gave me that one vote..." Iida mused.
"I gave you one vote. I thought Iida was going to win. But you are well-deserved too," Akira said, laughing lightly while Midoriya chuckled nervously.
"So you were the one who gave me one vote. Thank you very much, Gojo-san," Iida said, his voice quivering with emotion.
"It's nothing," Akira replied with a wave of her hand, a carefree smile on her face. "Honestly, you guys take this too seriously."
"I've been thinking," Uraraka leaned towards Akira, curiosity shining in her eyes. "Are you a rich kid, Iida?"
"I tried to change how I talk because I didn't want to be called that," he explained, his friends' interest piquing even more. He sighed. "Yes, my family has been heroes for generations. I'm the second son."
"What?! Wow!"
"Do you know the Turbo Hero, Ingenium?"
Midoriya's eyes twinkled. "Of course I do! He's a really popular hero who has 65 sidekicks working at his Tokyo agency! Don't tell me…!"
"He's my elder brother!" Iida proudly stated.
"He's telling us straight up!"
"That's so cool!"
"I want to be like my brother," said Iida, looking out toward the crowded cafeteria with a light smile. "However, I think it is too soon for me to lead others. Unlike me, Midoriya realized the point of the practical portion of the entrance exam, so he is more suitable for the job."
"This might be the first time I've seen you smile, Iida," mused Uraraka as the three students looked at the blue-haired boy in awe.
"What, really? Iida exclaimed, looking surprised.
"Um, about the entrance exam..." Midoriya spoke up, before he was interrupted by an alarm.
The group looked up towards the source of the noise, surprised to hear it going off.
"-There has been a Level 3 security breach," informed a woman through an intercom.
"-All students, please evacuate outdoors promptly."
I saw that everyone was rushing so i took my food tray and got away from the window to the roof.
"So it's because of media." I muttered.
"Let them figure it out." I smirked and ate my lunch.
After the situation was figured out I went to the class room.
"N-Now, let us decide on the other class officers..." Midoriya stammered out, as he faced the class. "But first, can I say something?"
"What is it?" asked Yaoyorozu.
"I think ... that lida Tenya should be the class rep after all!" he exclaimed. "He was able to get everyone's attention in such a cool way. I think it would be best for lida to do it."
"I'm good with that, too," said Kirishima, as he turned to face lida. "Midoriya's saying it, and it's true that lida was a big help at the cafeteria today."
"Yeah, and he kind of looked like the guy on the exit emergency signs, right?"
"You're wasting time," murmured Aizawa, who was sitting up in his sleeping bag. "I don't care what you do, just hurry up and do it."
lida stood up. "If the class rep has nominated me, then it cannot be helped." He raised his hand and stated, "From this day forth, I, lida Tenya, promise to do my best to carry out the duties of class representative."
"We're counting on you, Emergency Exit!"
"Emergency Exit lida! Do your best!"
"What happened." I said pouting.
"Where were you Akira." Asked Ochako.
"I was on the roof. Eating my lunch. I saw the reporters but didn't told you guys as I was hungry and there was a messy rush down there." I said.
"Eh?" Almost whole class.
