MHA: UltraMan

Chapter 9: Chapter 9

The battle raged on. Ultraman surged forward, his speed increasing until he was nothing more than a blur. But before he could land a blow, Doflamingo's body darkened as he coated himself in Haki. With a wicked grin, he countered, launching a flurry of attacks.

Ultraman's eyes widened. Reacting instantly, he blasted his strings, propelling himself backward just in time to dodge. Damn it! They never mentioned he could use Haki. Frustration gnawed at him—he only knew the basics, and this guy was better at it than even Bradford.

Before he could recover, strings coiled around his feet like iron chains. Doflamingo yanked him forward, his fist hurtling toward him, coated in Haki. The punch connected with a bone-rattling impact, sending shockwaves through Ultraman's body.

The force of the punch sent Ultraman hurtling backward, crashing into the island's mountain and blasting a hole clean through the rock. Dust and debris rained down as he shook off the rubble, his eyes wide behind his mask. Ouch… that hurt.

Gritting his teeth, he launched himself back into the fight, Maria Hill's words echoing in his mind—go all out. Fine. He would.

Blue energy crackled around him as he unleashed his quirk at full power. His body surged with raw force, pushing past his usual limit. 100 percent output? Not enough. He cranked it up to 200 percent, the air around him vibrating from the sheer intensity.

The battle raged on. But as much as he fought, he couldn't deny the truth—he was struggling. Doflamingo wasn't just powerful; he was relentless. His mastery over Haki was overwhelming, turning every exchange into a grueling back-and-forth. Ultraman's muscles burned, his energy draining fast under the crushing pressure.

His vision blurred at the edges, exhaustion setting in. Just when he thought his body would give out, a familiar sound cut through the chaos—the unmistakable roar of Quinjets. Wind whipped around him as a figure descended from the sky, landing gracefully amidst the debris.

His heart skipped. Red and white hair flowed behind her, her white outfit shimmering under the moonlight, headsets snug over her ears—Uta.

Doflamingo's grin faded as he looked up, sensing the shift in the air. A thunderous roar echoed across the island as Uta's quirk activated. Her voice, rough yet hauntingly beautiful, surged through the battlefield, vibrating with raw power. Her eyes blazed purple, and the ground beneath them rippled, reshaping into her domain.

Before Doflamingo or his goons could react, spears of energy and chains materialized from the swirling purple aura, each one homing in on them with deadly precision.

Doflamingo's eyes narrowed as he moved, dodging the first few chains with fluid precision. But they pursued him relentlessly, bending and twisting through the air, striking with pinpoint accuracy. The air crackled as Uta's power intensified, her field expanding, the chains growing thicker and more menacing. One by one, Doflamingo's goons were ensnared, their struggles useless against the unbreakable purple energy.

With a final, piercing note, Uta's voice reverberated through the island, the sound chilling and otherworldly. Realizing the tide had turned, Doflamingo snarled, his fingers flicking as he launched strings at her with lethal intent, aiming to crush her with sheer force.

The strings coiled around the glowing purple shield that erupted around her. His face twisted in rage as he tightened his grip, the barrier groaning under the pressure, cracks spiderwebbing across its surface. Just as it seemed like the shield would shatter, Uta's lips curled into a sly smile.

Doflamingo's eyes widened as he felt the pull—one of Uta's chains had wrapped around his leg. It yanked hard, throwing off his balance. His strings faltered, and his grip weakened. Snarling, he destroyed the chain with a powerful punch, shattering it to pieces.

But before he could recover, a white blur shot past him. Uta's grin widened as she watched her ally close in. Her leg, encased in Haki, spun through the air with deadly precision. She twisted her body, her foot connecting squarely with Doflamingo's face.

The impact was explosive. His head snapped back as his body was sent hurtling across the ground, crashing through dirt and debris, leaving a deep trail in his wake.

Up in the Quinjet, Maria watched the scene unfold below, her eyes narrowing in disbelief. Nick Fury stood beside her, his arms crossed as he let out a low whistle. "That last-minute intel really saved the kid's ass," he muttered.

Maria didn't look away, her gaze fixed on the battlefield. "Bradford wasn't kidding… she's on a whole different level."

On the ground, Uta's music faded, and the eerie glow vanished from her eyes. Doflamingo staggered to his feet, his body swaying as he steadied himself. Recognition flickered in his eyes as he faced her, his shattered sunglasses falling away, revealing a massive red bump swelling on his forehead.

He glared at her, his fists trembling. "How… How did someone like you master Haki at this level?!"

Uta laughed, the sound light and mocking. "I don't know," she said, her voice playful. But then her laughter died, her expression hardening. "Maybe it's because my willpower comes from leaving a dark past behind." Her eyes locked onto his, cold and unwavering. "But I still need the will to face it."

At the last second, Doflamingo enveloped his entire body in Haki, the dark aura shimmering as he braced himself. But Uta moved faster than he could track, her form a blur. As she closed in, her Haki shifted, its color deepening, intensifying into something far more potent.

Her fist collided with his defense, and the air rippled from the impact. His Haki shattered beneath her strike, the sheer force breaking through his guard as if it were paper. His eyes widened in shock before rolling back, his body crumpling to the ground—completely knocked out.

Jackson lay on his back, the remnants of his shattered mask scattered around him as he stared up at the rising sun, its light painting the sky in shades of pink and gold. His chest heaved as he caught his breath, his body heavy with exhaustion.

A head suddenly popped into view, framed by red and white hair. "What're you doing down there, huh?" Uta teased, her trademark grin lighting up her face.

He let out a tired laugh. "Oh, you know… just rebuilding my energy. Kinda drained after all that." He couldn't help but smile, relief washing over him at the sight of her.

She extended a hand, her fingers delicate yet firm. He took it without hesitation, feeling the familiar strength as she helped him to his feet.

Uta tilted her head, her eyes sparkling mischievously. "Didn't expect me to show up, did ya?"

He shook his head, his grin widening. "No… last I heard, you were overseas."

Before either could say another word, they moved in unison, wrapping their arms around each other in a tight embrace. They stayed like that for a moment, letting the silence speak for them before slowly breaking apart, smiles lingering on their faces.
