MHA: UltraMan

Chapter 18: Chapter 18

Somewhere Over Russia

The Quinjet sliced through the night sky, a silent shadow against the clouds. Inside, the air thrummed with quiet anticipation. Black Widow's hands moved expertly over the controls, her gaze sharp and unyielding as she monitored their descent.

Jackson shifted his weight, his eyes flicking between the team. The hum of the engines filled the silence until he finally spoke. "So, where's Thor?"

"Asgard," came the clipped reply.

Before Jackson could respond, Tony strolled up beside him, his keen eyes sweeping over the young hero's armor. A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips before he clapped a hand against Jackson's shoulder. The metal rang under his touch, the sound barely audible over the jet's low rumble.

"Looking solid, kid," Tony said, his voice laced with amusement. "Glad we've got another powerhouse on board."

"Listen up!" Captain America's voice cut through the hum of the Quinjet, his tone sharp and commanding. "We're approaching the Hydra base. Iron Man and Ultraman, you'll handle the skies. Hulk—take out those cannons. Smash them."

"You got it," Bruce grunted, barely waiting for the ramp to lower before he charged forward and leaped out, plummeting toward the enemy stronghold below.

Cap exhaled through his nose. "Well, he didn't let me finish the plan."

"We don't need a plan," Iron Man quipped, stepping backward with a casual shrug. Then, with a dramatic flourish, he let himself fall out of the Quinjet, arms spread wide as he twisted mid-air before blasting off into the sky.

Captain America shook his head before gripping his shield tighter. "Avengers—Assemble!" he roared, diving out without hesitation.

One by one, the rest of the team followed suit, including Ultraman, launching into battle as the war below erupted.

Thunderous explosions ripped through the icy terrain, shaking the ground beneath the Hydra base. Muzzle flashes lit up the snow-covered battlefield as gunfire erupted, the sharp cracks echoing into the frigid night.

"Shit! It's the Avengers! Sound the alarm!" a panicked voice shouted.

A blaring siren wailed through the compound, jolting soldiers from their bunks. Boots pounded against metal floors as they scrambled for their weapons, rifles locking and loading in rapid succession.

Outside, a deep, guttural roar cut through the chaos. A massive green figure barreled through the enemy line, his towering frame illuminated by bursts of fire and destruction.

"HULK SMASH!"

With a single heave, Hulk tore a massive cannon from its foundation, the steel groaning in protest. Muscles flexed, he spun on his heel and hurled the weapon like a missile, sending it crashing into another, the explosion swallowing both in a fiery blast

As the sun slowly began to rise, its golden light cut through the fading darkness. A lone figure moved swiftly through the battlefield—a man with a shield. With precise aim, he hurled it forward, the vibranium disc ricocheting off a tree before striking its target. The Hydra soldier collapsed, and in a fluid motion, the shield snapped back into his grasp.

"Coming through—your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!" he called out, flipping through the air above Captain America. Using the towering trees as launch points, he slingshotted himself forward, building momentum with each web pull. Bullets tore through the air around him, but he twisted and contorted his body with effortless agility, dodging them with ease as he closed in on his targets.

High above, Ultraman soared through the sky, his eyes scanning the horizon. With pinpoint accuracy, he unleashed blast after blast, disintegrating the incoming missiles, each explosion flashing brightly against the morning sky. He neutralized the threat from the mountains with a surge of energy that left no room for error.

Iron Man swooped in, launching a missile directly at the base, but the blue force field shimmered, blocking the attack. "Looks like there's no way through, kid," Tony's voice crackled through the comms. "Give it a kick."

"You got it," Ultraman responded, his voice calm but resolute.

With a sharp turn, Ultraman flew higher, his form cutting through the air like a meteor. His eyes narrowed, as his focus intensified. He raised his arms, palms facing forward, and a low hum built from within him, vibrating the air around his body. His form seemed to pulse with power, as though every muscle and nerve was charged with energy. With a deep breath, he crossed his arms in front of him, the energy swirling between his hands, glowing brighter by the second.

A crackling sound echoed in the air as a surge of raw power gathered in his chest. The hum grew louder, now a deep, resonating roar, as he uncrossed his arms. With a sudden, explosive motion, he thrust his hands forward. A blinding beam of energy shot out, splitting the sky as it hurtled toward the blue force field. It collided with a deafening crack, the shield shattering instantly and the base beneath it trembling from the sheer force of the blast.

"Nice," Tony said, a satisfied smirk in his voice. "The base's force field is down." He tapped his comm, relaying the update to the rest of the Avengers.

Before Cap could respond, a sudden gust of wind whooshed past him—then impact. His body slammed into the snow-covered ground, cold biting through his suit. He rolled, shield up, eyes scanning for the source.

A blur streaked across the battlefield, kicking up a flurry of snow in its wake. Cap gritted his teeth, muscles tensed. "Shit."

"Hey now, language," Iron Man quipped, his voice crackling through the comms.

Cap shot a glare in his direction but didn't slow. "Really funny, Tony. We've got a Quirk user down here—too fast to pin down."

Ultraman was nearby, arms crossed, observing the chaos with an unreadable expression. Tony tilted his head toward him, a knowing smirk playing at his lips.

"Well?" Tony gestured. "What are you waiting for? Time to show off those skills and take down that little speedster."
