MHA: The Sentry

Chapter 10: I can see you

_____[POV: Third Person]_____

In the shadows of his hideout, All For One laughed sinisterly, his laughter echoing off the cold, dark walls. He was satisfied, feeling the power coursing through his veins, a sensation he hadn't experienced in a long time. His eyes gleamed with malice as he reveled in his newfound source of power.

"Ah, I am finally healed," he murmured to himself, his voice laden with pure malevolence. "These new regeneration quirks have greatly aided in rebuilding my nearly dead body. All thanks to my wonderful new supplier..."

He examined the small, glowing orbs in his hands, each containing a quirk, ready to be used at his will. All For One admired the brilliance behind this method of storage, marveling at his supplier's ability to encapsulate quirks into tiny marbles.

"Garaki," he called, his voice reverberating through the hideout. "Are the Nomus ready?"

Dr. Garaki approached cautiously, yet with a smile on his face. "The Nomus are ready, master. Thanks to the new method, the creation of Nomus has become easier, faster, and more efficient. But why do you need three of the new High-End species? One would be enough to handle our target."

All For One smiled maliciously. "Since I began conversing with him, I realized how he helped me see things more clearly. Everything turned out to be much more complicated than I had imagined. By sharing my vision and plans with him, I was confronted with the flaws and gaps in my own plans that he discovered in an instant. It was a painful but necessary awakening. I learned that we must never settle for superficial analyses or partial solutions, that we must never give them a chance to react when attacked."

Garaki swallowed hard, feeling a chill run down his spine. All For One had changed since he began collaborating with a strange individual who appeared out of nowhere. He had become even more sinister and calculating with every moment spent conversing with this individual.

All For One rose from his throne, his dominant presence and aura filling the room. "If we are to win, we must be relentless. We must be true villains, as he told me..."

Dr. Garaki watched All For One, anxious for what was to come. His master was stronger than ever, and his power continued to grow with each passing day. He wondered what that individual had done to transform All For One into something even more terrifying than he already was.

Hosu, Tokyo.

The streets were bustling with the chase. The villain continued to laugh uncontrollably, his movements a blur as the heroes struggled to keep up with him.

"You're so slow! It's like I'm racing against snails!" he taunted, nimbly dodging the attacks aimed at him.

His super-speed quirk made him an almost intangible target, leaving the heroes frustrated. One of them attempted a long-range attack, but missed badly, the projectile hitting the ground several meters behind the villain.

"He's too fast! My quirk can't reach him!" one of the heroes shouted, frustrated with the situation.

However, the villain's confidence vanished the moment two precise shots pierced his legs. A sharp cry echoed through the street as he lost his balance, staggering violently before crashing into a parked van. His body fell awkwardly to the ground, his consciousness fading as pain radiated from his wounds.

The heroes caught up moments later, confused by what had just happened. One of them examined the villain's injuries, while another, named Manual, furrowed his brow as he analyzed the scene.

"Snipe isn't patrolling nearby... so who could have done this?" he murmured, trying to identify the source of the shots.

Before he could speculate further, his question was answered when an elegant silhouette appeared atop a nearby building. The heroes looked up and saw Lady Nagant, her imposing presence radiating authority and professionalism.

The sharp-eyed heroine gazed down at the fallen villain, her hands resting casually on her built-in rifle.

"You took your time," she commented, her voice carrying a professional tone, but with a slight hint of provocation. "He could have caused more damage if I hadn't intervened."

The heroes exchanged glances, acknowledging the truth in her words. Nagant wasn't just an exceptional markswoman, but one of the most feared and respected heroines in the country.

Manual sighed, nodding. "We appreciate the backup, Lady Nagant. As always, your precision is impressive."

She simply shrugged. "Just doing my job. Now, get him to prison before he wakes up."

With that, Lady Nagant turned and disappeared atop the building, leaving the heroes with a mix of admiration and respect.

_____[POV: Ippan Josei]_____

"Finally home..." I sigh in relief as I close the door to my apartment. After a tiring day at work, all I wanted was to relax a bit.

I toss my bag onto the couch and head to the kitchen, opening the fridge in search of something quick for dinner. "A chicken donburi seems like a good option," I think as I check the available ingredients.

While I chop the chicken, my mind wanders to the events of the day. The market was, as usual... uncomfortable. The stares from people, the muffled whispers, the veiled judgments. I could feel the fear and distrust in every glance that quickly looked away when I caught them staring at me.

It wasn't my fault. I was just born this way. I never chose to be different, but the world insists on reminding me of it with every step I take. I didn't want to be treated like something strange every time I tried to find a job, every time I walked down the street, every time I entered a store. But people always stared, always judged. They always pulled their children away or whispered when they thought I couldn't hear. As if I were... dangerous in some way.

I add the chicken to the pan, feeling the warm aroma start to spread through the apartment. I just wanted to be treated as normal. Like Rosa and the few others who saw beyond my appearance. Like...

...Ryuji?

The name pops into my mind, and I pause for a moment. Well... he's a non-mutant who was different with me. He treated me well. And not in a forced or pitying way, but as if I were just... a person. As if there was nothing wrong with me.

Ryuji is a bit odd. And funny too. But somehow, being around him didn't make me feel small, the way I do with Rosa and other mutants. He acted as if my appearance didn't matter at all. As if it were just another trait, like eye or hair color.

Maybe, if there were more non-mutants like him...

A strong, acrid smell of burning hits my nostrils, snapping me out of my thoughts. I look at the pan and widen my eyes as I see the chicken scorching at the bottom. "Oh no!"

I hurriedly turn off the heat and sigh, looking at the damage. Great. There goes my dinner.

Maybe ordering something through the app is the best option today.

_____[POV: Ryuji]_____

After a long day of "being awesome" on the first day at UA, I decided it was time to disappear for a while at night. Clone created, check. Portal to Lucifer's office, check. Hope for a moment of peace? Ha! I should have known that never happens.

As soon as I step through the portal, I'm knocked over by something small and very fast. Something that, under normal circumstances, would probably break at least three ribs of an ordinary human. But since it's me, I only felt a slight impact and, of course, arms wrapping tightly around me.

"Master!" A cheerful, melodic voice echoes.

I look down, and there she is, Lilith, staring up at me with those bright red eyes and a smile that could melt even Aizawa's heart. Or not.

"Ah, so that's what it was," I mutter, patting her head. "I knew my sixth sense for 'beware, something cute and deadly is approaching' was right."

Lilith buries her face in my chest, which would be a somewhat cute moment if I didn't feel a certain increasing pressure. The girl might be cute, but she has hips that defy the laws of physics.

"Did you miss me?" I ask, already knowing the answer.

"Lilith always misses Master!" she exclaims, squeezing me tighter. "Morrigan and I were away for too long!"

And, as if summoned by fate itself, Morrigan appears. And, as always, she makes sure to make an entrance with that walk that even makes the floor seem seduced.

"Well, well, what a warm welcome," she says, placing a hand on her hip and giving me a feline-like look. "I missed you too, you know? But it seems Lilith got here first."

"Too bad, huh?"

Morrigan smirks, and before I can react, she's practically glued to me, using that "natural talent" of hers to throw any man off balance. Okay, serious mode activated.

"Being away for four years was hard," she murmurs, trailing a finger across my chest. "Maybe I should make up for lost time."

Before I can protest, something much worse happens.

"Ara, ara..." Oh no.

The room's temperature seems to shift as the unmistakable figure of Esunami enters the office, accompanied by Lucifer. Her gentle smile now hides devilish intentions, and before I can say anything, she's right in front of me, arms crossed and a mischievous look in her eyes.

"Seems like I arrived at the perfect moment," the kitsune tilts her head, her half-closed eyes overflowing with amusement. "Morrigan, dear, still monopolizing our beloved master?"

"I was just giving my master some affection, unlike a certain clingy kitsune," Morrigan shoots a provocative look at Esunami.

"Clingy? Oh, darling, I'm just very affectionate," Esunami smiles with her eyes still closed, but now there's a faint dark aura around her.

"Please! You act like you own him!" Morrigan crosses her arms, glaring at her defiantly.

"And I do," Esunami replies simply.

The atmosphere grows tense. I swear I can almost see sparks in the air. Lilith, who's still clinging to me, looks back and forth, clearly aware of what's about to happen.

"Lucifer, are you going to intervene?" I ask Lufer, who's casually pouring himself a glass of wine.

"I don't see the need," he shrugs. "After all, it's not my problem."

Right... I'm on my own...

"Alright, ladies, let's calm down. We have an important meeting to attend," I snap my fingers, and a sudden pressure descends on the room, making Morrigan and Esunami stop.

"I agree," Lucifer finally speaks, his deep voice echoing. "The meeting needs to begin."

Both troublemakers shoot dissatisfied looks at each other but finally step back, still exchanging visual barbs. I let out an internal sigh. One day, one day... I'll have peace in this office.

Second day at UA.

I arrived early to the classroom again, along with Izuku. The guy is really putting in the effort with this hero thing. He decided to start coming to UA super early, and apparently, that dragged me along since he picks me up at home. Congrats, Midoriya, your effort is now negatively impacting my well-being. Especially after the mess I had to deal with last night with Esunami and Morrigan...

Huh...?

"Hey, why did you stop?" Izuku asked behind me as I entered the classroom and froze mid-step. The room was still somewhat empty, but something caught my attention in a... weird way.

I was staring at the green-haired girl who was chatting with the pink-skinned girl with yellow horns.

Izuku followed my gaze and commented, "It's pretty rare to see quirks that make you invisible." After that, he walked past me and went to his seat like it was no big deal.

...Wait a second.

What do you mean?

I rubbed my eyes. Looked again. It can't be...

The girl I was seeing... was that Hagakure?

Long, messy, wavy greenish-yellow hair with some pink streaks. Thick eyelashes, big round eyes with blue-green pupils on the outside and yellow on the inside. And, to top it off, she was... really pretty.

Wow. So this is what was hidden all along? This is the biggest plot twist of my life.

Before I could process everything, a small scream echoed through the room.

"Eeeek!"

Crap. I think I stared for too long.

"Toru? Is something wrong?" Mina approached Hagakure with a worried expression.

"Huh? N-No, nothing's wrong, sorry! I just got startled, that's all..." Hagakure murmured, still a bit disoriented.

I noticed she slightly glanced my way. Just for fun, I raised one of my hands and made a small gesture. She furrowed her brows, which confirmed everything for me. So, I really can see her.

"Hey, what scared you?" Tsuyu asked, curious.

Hagakure hesitated.

I decided to make things easier.

"Kinda can see her real appearance. By the way, I'm Ryuji Fugimoto. Nice to meet you."

Silence filled the room. Everyone was staring at me, especially Hagakure, who was completely shocked.

"Y-You can really see me!?" she exclaimed, startled.

"You can see her!?" Mina's eyes widened.

"Is that part of your quirk?" Tsuyu asked, tilting her head.

Izuku, who was sitting next to me, just sighed and started jotting something down in his notebook.

"That's new. Adding to the list," he muttered to himself.

Wait, what list?

"Hey dude, how do you do that?" Kirishima looked at me with genuine curiosity, while Kaminari, beside him, seemed as confused as someone trying to understand the math behind dividing zero by zero.

"Doesn't your quirk have more to do with super strength?" Kaminari asked, furrowing his brow.

"My quirk is called Solaris Absolutus. I have an inner energy that I can manipulate in various ways: super strength, flight, light manipulation, and a few other little things." It was a half-truth, but what can I do when I have to hide the fact that I can delete hundreds of galaxies with my power?

Mina blinked a few times before exclaiming, "That's so strong!" with her eyes shining. Kirishima gave me a friendly punch on the shoulder.

"With a quirk like that, you're definitely going to make it into the Top 10 Pro Heroes."

"Sure, because that's all that matters, right?" I rolled my eyes, but he laughed, thinking I was joking.

It was then that Hagakure cut in. "But you still haven't explained how you can see me."

And that's where things get weird. Because I really don't know how to explain it. Maybe her quirk has something to do with light manipulation? Or maybe I just hacked this reality without realizing it? (N/A: The MC's knowledge of the anime only reaches the 4th season.)

"Well... I don't know how to explain it either..."

And that's when Kaminari decided to be Kaminari.

"Hey, what does she really look like?" A mischievous grin spread across his face.

"I want to know too!" Mina leaned into the conversation.

"Me too!" Uraraka chimed in excitedly.

"Me too, ribbit," Tsuyu added.

And suddenly, all eyes were on me as if I were a reality show host about to reveal the winner. I looked at Hagakure, who was smiling shyly, but I could tell there was something... hesitant about her.

"Okay, give me some space."

They backed up a little, and I began to focus. My golden energy glowed in my hands, capturing everyone's attention. After a few seconds, the light dissipated, and a painting appeared in my hands.

Mina, Tsuyu, Kirishima, and Kaminari's eyes widened when they saw the image. Hagakure hesitated but eventually took the painting. As soon as she looked at it, tears began to form.

"Is that... me?" (A/N: For those in doubt, even she can't see her true appearance.)

The whole class started to gather around her.

"She's really beautiful!" Mina exclaimed.

"Yeah! She's super cute!" Uraraka added.

"Man, I'm jealous," Kaminari muttered, looking at me.

"Me too, dude. Me too..." Sero sighed, patting Kaminari on the back as if trying to console him.

"Can you create things with your quirk too?" Momo asked, looking at me with genuine curiosity.

"I'm Momo Yaoyorozu, but you can call me Momo."

"Alright. And yes, I can create things with my energy, but it consumes a good portion of my inner strength depending on the complexity of the material."

She looked impressed. Kirishima was about to open his mouth to ask something, but Present Mic walked into the room, saving my sanity.

"Everyone to your seats! English class is about to begin!"

Thank God. I went back to my seat and rested my head on the desk, trying to process all the social interaction I had just been forced to endure. Am I still an introvert even after reincarnating?

Nah, I must just be tired from last night. Even though I don't really feel tired.

I glanced to the side and noticed Hagakure staring at me. When our eyes met, she smiled shyly and clutched the painting tighter in her hands.

"Thank you..." she said softly.

I smiled back at her and adjusted in my chair, ready to pretend to pay attention in English class.

After the regular classes followed by lunch, noon arrived, and the class everyone had been waiting for would begin.

**Fundamental Hero Studies.** While everyone chatted and waited for the class to start, a familiar shout came from outside.

"Coming through the door like a normal person!" All Might exclaimed as he entered the classroom in his goofy ahh style.

"All Might!"

"So cool! He's really going to be our teacher!"

"That costume is from the Silver Age, right?"

"The style is so different. It gives me chills!"

"Hahaha! Well, class, I know you're all excited to see me, but I'm not here as a hero today—I'm here as your teacher! And today, you'll have your first basic Hero training!" All Might said with his trademark grin. "No more beating around the bush! What we're doing today is: **Combat Training!**" All Might concluded, sparking even more excitement from the rest of the class. Finally, something different besides lectures—hopefully, the canon will change a bit.

Bakugo wore a confident grin on his face, looking more like a villain than a hero. Izuku simply smiled, thrilled for the class. As for Todoroki... well, he was being Todoroki.

"And to match your first battle, we've prepared the gear we asked you to design to complement your quirks! Your Hero Costumes!" As soon as All Might finished speaking, metal cases emerged from the wall at the back of the classroom. The sound and movement of the gears caught the attention of the entire class.

"I can't believe we get to use our hero costumes!"

"Yeah, this is going to be fun!"

Everyone seemed excited for today's class, with some heading toward the metal cases to grab their hero costumes.

"After changing, meet at Ground Beta!" All Might announced, prompting those who hadn't grabbed their respective cases to get up, take them, and head to the locker room.

I was the last to leave the classroom, but before I could go, All Might called out to me. "Aren't you going to grab your costume? Young Fugimoto." All Might asked, seemingly not noticing that there had been no case on the wall from the start.

"I spoke with Principal Nezu about it. I can kind of materialize my costume with my quirk," I replied to All Might, who raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"Hahaha! That's certainly flashy, young man. Now hurry up and head to Ground Beta." All Might finished, leaving the room and speeding down the hallway.

Don't worry, All Might. What I'm about to do will be more than just flashy in this class...

(A/N: Well, I wasn't really keen on applying a harem in the fic. But it seems that initially it's... good? Like, it makes sense for someone like him to have that at first. Not that I want to keep it or turn the girls in the class into his harem, I'm against that in every way. He will still have a relationship with the partner I chose, and I'll be handling that very carefully. And speaking of her, there are probably already some people who didn't like her. My response is that I don't care; if you're going to judge a character based on appearance without even getting to know them properly, then I don't know why you're still reading. Anyway, I'll stop here. See you in the next update.)
