Chapter 4: Little Red Riding Hood

In the heart of a deep, enchanted forest, where sunlight filtered through the branches, painting the ground with dappled shadows, a peculiar tale unfolded. It began with a bright flash in the night sky, a mysterious phenomenon that altered the fates of two young heroes.

Ejiro Kirishima blinked and sat up, confusion clouding his mind. He looked down at the crimson hood draped over his shoulders, the frilly dress he found himself wearing, and felt like he had fallen straight into a storybook. "What the…?!" he exclaimed, his voice high-pitched and light. Panic shot through him as he realized he was dressed as Little Red Riding Hood—complete with a basket of goodies that smelled of freshly baked bread and sweet fruits.

Meanwhile, far from the edge of the forest, Katsuki Bakugo had woken up in his usual fiery temperament, only to find himself in a peculiar situation as well. He sat atop a mossy rock, looking down at his furry paws and the sharp claws that glistened in the sunlight. He growled in frustration. "What the hell is this?!" The transformation had turned him into a formidable wolf, with a sleek black coat and fierce golden eyes that glinted with an irritable intelligence.

Fate had played a mischievous game, placing the courageous hero Kirishima and the explosive Bakugo into the roles of storybook characters, with Kirishima as the innocent girl and Bakugo as the dreaded wolf. As Kirishima stumbled forward through the woods, clutching the basket with a mix of nervousness and determination, he muttered to himself about being brave. "I've faced tougher things than this… Right?"

With every step, the whispers of the forest echoed in his ears. "Beware the wolf!" they seemed to chant. Kirishima assessed his situation, realizing he had to deliver the goodies to his sick grandmother, who he hoped, despite being an old lady, was a capable woman. Little did he know, Bakugo was already waiting for him, having caught wind of his presence.

"Great," Bakugo growled, peering through the underbrush as he caught sight of Kirishima's signature bright hair peeking out from under the hood. "Just what I need—a wannabe hero trudging through my territory." Hidden in the shadows, he debated whether to fulfill the traditional role of the bad wolf or to change the script. "If I just scare him off, it'll be easy…"

Kirishima, sensing a rustle nearby, turned with wide eyes, gripping his basket tightly. "Who's there?" he called out, trying to sound braver than he felt. This wasn't a villain he could punch; he was in a story—a fairy tale, complete with villains and heroes.

Bakugo stepped out, his eyes narrowed, teeth bared in a fierce snarl. "You think I'm just gonna let you pass? You don't want to mess with me, little hood!" His voice, though savage, had a familiar edge to it.

"Katsuki?" Kirishima hesitated, recognition flooding his mind. "Is that you?"

The wolf blinked in surprise, the tension in his body melting away as he realized the truth. "Kirishima? What kind of bizarre dimension is this?" he growled, crossing his front paws but less menacing now, a hint of amusement glimmering in his eyes. "Why are you dressed like that?"

"I… I don't know! I woke up like this! But I'm still me! I mean… I think I'm still me!" he sputtered, color rising in his cheeks as he indignantly clutched his hood.

Bakugo drifted closer, their past memories surfacing, their bond reconsolidating in this ridiculous form. "So you, the guy who always throws himself into the fray, are supposed to be a helpless little girl?" He snorted, trying to maintain his fearsome demeanor, but his heart softened as he took in Kirishima's nervousness.

"Hey! I'm not helpless!" Kirishima protested, his cheeks dusted with embarrassment. "I'm going to take these goodies to my grandmother, and then—"

"And then what? You act like a damsel for the rest of your life?" Bakugo stepped forward, smirking. "Don't you remember how we always said we'd fight against any challenge?"

Kirishima's eyes lit up with realization. "You're right! I have to be brave! We can do this together, like always! You can be my wolf, and we can change the story!"

Bakugo's ears perked, intrigued by the idea of rewriting their destinies. "Fine. I'll be your wolf, but only if you promise not to scream every time I growl."

"Deal!" Kirishima beamed, his confidence returning. "Let's do it!"

Together, they struck an odd alliance—Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, united to face whatever awaited in the storybook forest. They encountered countless challenges along the way: tricky trolls, mischievous fairies, and even a gang of mischievous woodland creatures who would do anything for a good laugh.

Through each encounter, Bakugo learned to temper his explosive nature, while Kirishima relished the thrill of adventure. The duo transformed the tale—convincing the grandmother to join them against the trolls, using clever tactics instead of brute force, and earning a reputation as the oddest but most formidable team the forest had ever seen.

As they made their way to the grandmother's cozy cottage, Kirishima marveled at how their fates had intertwined. "You know, I think we make pretty good characters in this story!"

Bakugo smirked, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Yeah, well, let's just hope we don't end up stuck in here forever. I have bigger plans than being known as a fairy tale monster."

The horizon sparkled with endless possibilities, and as they approached their destination, the bond forged in their past heroes' lives now became the catalyst for a new adventure. Together, they'd rewrite the tales, proving that even the fiercest of wolves and the most innocent of girls can find strength in camaraderie, bravery, and a sprinkling of chaos.

With renewed purpose, they pushed open the cottage door, ready to face whatever uncertainty awaited in the world beyond, together.
