Chapter 73: Mina x Y/N

The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange as Y/N stood in front of his mirror, adjusting his collar nervously. Tonight was special. He was going to take Mina out on their first official date. They had been together for a few months, but this outing felt significant. He could hardly contain his excitement as he imagined the smile on her face.

Mina, radiant as always, arrived a little late, her hair glowing in the fading light. With a playful grin, she twirled around, showing off her outfit—a cute, flowy dress that highlighted her cheerful personality. "Ready for a night to remember?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

Y/N nodded, feeling a rush of warmth. They decided to stroll through the local park, with its twinkling fairy lights and soft evening breeze. Laughter and cheerful conversations surrounded them as they walked hand in hand, lost in each other's world.

As they settled down on a bench, Mina pulled out a small picnic basket she had packed. "I hope you like sushi!" she exclaimed, her enthusiasm infectious. They shared their meal, exchanged stories, and threw in their favorite jokes, until their laughter echoed through the empty park.

However, unbeknownst to Y/N and Mina, a group of familiar faces was lurking just beyond the trees. Denki, Bakugo, Kirishima, and Sero had decided to have a little brotherly night out when they spotted the couple. Denki's eyes widened in surprise as he whispered, "Is that Y/N and Mina?"

Bakugo scowled, irritation mixed with protectiveness. "What the hell are they doing? They should've told us." He clenched his fists, ready to march over and intervene.

Sero chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. "Come on, it's their first date. They deserve some time alone!"

But Kirishima, with his usual enthusiasm, disagreed. "I don't know, man. Y/N might need a little backup. We should look out for them." He jumped from behind the tree, heading toward the couple, his intentions innocent but his friends were not on the same page.

"Wait, dumbass!" Bakugo hissed, but Kirishima was already striding toward Y/N and Mina. Denki and Sero had no choice but to follow, not willing to let their friend handle the situation alone.

Mina, mid-laugh, turned her head just as Kirishima approached. "Uh, hey Kirishima, what are you doing here?" she asked, her brow furrowed in confusion and amusement.

Y/N's cheeks flushed as he turned around to see his friends. "Oh, hey guys! What a surprise!"

Kirishima, ever the enthusiastic friend, grinned widely. "We were just out hanging, and then we spotted you two! We didn't know you were on a date!"

Denki chimed in, "You guys look cute together!" He shot them a thumbs up, obviously delighted that his friends were dating.

Bakugo, however, crossed his arms and scowled fiercely. "Yeah well, that doesn't mean we can't keep an eye on you. You guys should have at least invited us!" His voice was sharp, but beneath the gruffness, a hint of genuine concern lingered.

Y/N felt a mix of embarrassment and annoyance. "Come on, guys, this is just a date. There's no need for a chaperone!"

Mina giggled, clearly amused by Bakugo's overprotectiveness. "I appreciate the concern, but I think we'll be okay. Right, Y/N?"

"Absolutely," Y/N replied, trying to steer the conversation back to them. "This is just a fun night out."

But Sero, always the jokester, added, "Well, if we're crashers, we might as well join the fun!" He plopped down on the bench next to Mina, pulling out a snack from his pocket. Denki followed suit, plopping beside Y/N, seemingly settling in for a night of distraction.

Y/N sighed but couldn't help but grin. "You guys really can't take a hint, huh?"

Kirishima shrugged, his enthusiasm unwavering. "We just want to make sure you're both having a good time!"

Mina leaned into Y/N, whispering, "Looks like our romantic night has been hijacked."

"Yeah," Y/N chuckled softly, "but I guess it's not the worst thing in the world." He looked at his friends, who were now joking among themselves, completely oblivious to the couple's desire for privacy.

As the night wore on, Y/N realized he was okay with it. Sure, it wasn't the date he initially envisioned, but he wouldn't trade the laughter and camaraderie for anything. Surrounded by friends who cared so deeply, he felt lucky. Maybe someday, they could have their private moments again, but for now, he was content to enjoy the chaos of being a teenager in love—sharing it with friends who would always have his back.
