Chapter 11: LIFELESS CORPSE

---

Four people were currently sitting in an office next to a round table with five visible chairs. They seemed stressed, quiet, but fear was visible in their eyes. "Who's he fighting next?" a man asked, wearing a clean black suit, seated, bending slightly with both hands on his forehead. "Marcus," another answered urgently, "Maybe we can..."

"We can't do anything!" a woman present interrupted at the peak of her voice. "230 matches," another intervened. "230 days and he has never even lost once," he continued, "Every fucking day, that fucking kid seems to be getting stronger," he said as anger boiled up, turning his face almost red with frustration.

"Meg, that bitch," said the woman with visible rage, "How did she even find that monster? 16 million, 16 fucking million, do you understand what type of money that is?" The other man sitting beside her tried to calm her down but found the process futile.

"16 fucking million!" she said as she stormed out in anger. The remaining men just sat there, exchanging glances, turning their gaze to who appeared to be their leader. "I don't know what you do, but ensure Marcus wins," he said as he wiped his forehead, wiping away the visible sweat that formed only from thinking about the person who was the reason for their meeting. "Odin," he whispered with a voice so silent.

{3 days later}

In an arena that looked very different from many, in a large stadium inside a building, a place filled with people of different diversities, screaming and shouting at the height of their voices, a man wearing a suit stepped into it. He was holding a mic in his hand and had a very pleasant attitude.

"People of the underworld, people of filth and corruption, people of blood and wealth," he said, continuing to walk until he was in the middle of them. "The day has come, the day where two of the most famous rookies will face off for the biggest prize in death match history," he said when suddenly he disappeared, reappearing in the sky, floating there as he levitated.

"I give you the first, a man who is known for his stylish weaponry, he who is said to have slain a vast amount of dragons, he whose abilities shine amongst those who are considered blessed, I give you Marcus!" he shouted when the whole stadium went wild with shouts and noises. Then, as if they had all been waiting for that moment, "ODIN, ODIN, ODIN," they began chanting a name as if singing a song, "ODIN, ODIN, ODIN," in unison, loud and vast, the whole stadium shook slightly due to the sound alone.

"And the man we have all been waiting for," the announcer said as a wide smile unknowingly appeared on his face as if he was part of the people he was talking about, "The man who was said to rule the heavens, The man who is said to see it all, his red eyes, his blooded vision, I give you, the God descended as Man, I GIVE YOU ODINNNNNNN!!!" "AHHHHH-HEEEEEEYYYYY!!!" The crowd went crazy. Then, a short boy, who appeared to be only wearing tattered black clothes, walked in.

His hair was short and curly but long enough to cover one of his eyes. He was wearing a black mask that had a large smile, creepy and menacing, yet it displayed a weird type of dominance. Ken then walked to the middle where Marcus was standing, waiting. Marcus was currently holding what seemed to be a large spiky metal bat, so big he had to place it down before the commencement of the fight.

"Psh, he wants me to be cautious of a child," Marcus said as he looked at Ken who stood there menacingly before him. The referee, without wasting any time, ran out in front of both of them and prepared to start the match. The moment his hands cut through the wind, signaling the start, Marcus dashed with crazy speeds, lifting his large bat effortlessly, swinging it towards Ken.

The bat swung and hit Ken with incredible speeds, Ken blocking as he crossed both his arms, infusing them with cursed energy, succeeded in blocking the attack, but to his shock, he realized that the attack he just blocked wasn't as simple as he expected because in only one blow, it had attacked him three times in just one second. This was unexpected, and it hit him with such force that it sent him flying, hitting the wall at the end of the arena, creating a crater on impact.

Marcus stood there as if proud of himself, his quirk, Triple Hit, allowed any of his attacks to hit three times with one blow. This was the reason he had made it so far into the competition, and added to that, three days later, he was given a new weapon as a way to defeat a kid named Odin. He was sure that the kid was probably dead, but to his surprise, Odin emerged from the dust that was formed from the massive attack, stunning Marcus who was now thinking of different ways to spend his winnings.

It seemed that the kid he thought he had killed was now walking towards him unscathed. How was it possible, he thought in disbelief; he was sure it hit him. "I understand," Ken said as he walked closer, "Triple hit," Ken continued, causing Marcus to show a bit of fear in his expression, wondering how Ken knew about his ability. "I have always wondered why you won all those matches so quickly," he continued, "Your quirk is really useful.

Let's see," he said as he raised one of his fingers as if counting, "1: Fast sequencing, when you attack, three hits happen in rapid succession within a fraction of a second, making it difficult for opponents to react. Then 2: Multiplication, which means the power of the attack is also multiplied by three, making each hit more powerful than the last," Ken quickly explained, causing Marcus to lose focus.

"How do you fucking know that!" he asked with a loud voice, for he had never told anyone except those closest to him about his ability. "I observed," Ken answered as he looked up, where almost a dozen crows, almost unseen, were flying around the arena. Marcus was confused by this and decided to quickly ignore it, thinking it was some type of distraction, but as he looked down, all he could see was Ken, right in front of him, his one red visible shining eye, and the drawn creepy smile on his dark black mask.

Before Marcus could react, Ken launched an attack, his fist glowing with a mysterious color, dark black red light appeared in an instant, making movements and a sound of lightning, it was faint but Marcus could clearly hear it, and before he could process what had happened, the punch connected, forcing him to block on instinct, blocking the punch with his left hand then, "DOOO!!!" as if thunder was crying out, he was sent flying backward, bouncing seven times on the ground before he came to a stop. His reflexes halted his legs, making him stand before falling to the ground, but as he shifted his gaze to take a look at the hand he used to block the attack, it was gone, and blood was flowing from the opened wound it left.

Before he could cry or scream, he looked at Ken who was now standing in a strange stance, his hands now in front of him making strange movements until he put them in the middle of his chest, wide open, and out of nowhere, as if formed by magic, what looked to be a yellow large sharp arrow that looked like a horn floated between his hands.

It had markings of black lines around it and looked to be growing with each second, then it suddenly began to spin uncontrollably, spinning so fast it made a sound with each rotation. Then the short boy who had made the attack said something which felt confusing to those watching above, "Kaichi!" Then suddenly it disappeared, moving at speeds unseen straight at Marcus, then hitting him right on the side of his stomach, leaving a large hole in the process. As Marcus looked down at his now half-gone upper body, he moved his hand and tried to touch his stomach as if to confirm, only for his hand to pass through it as if there was nothing. Looking up, he saw the boy in question, looking at him straight in his eyes; yes, he saw them, that one red visible eye that seemed to be unaffected by chaos.

He could see it; it was as if it wasn't even looking at him, it was as if it was looking past him like he was not worthy of its sight. Ken, looking at the man he had just butchered, couldn't help but think of what Gojo did to Toji; it was as if history was repeated. Ignoring everything, Ken just started walking away even before the referee could announce his win. Marcus could see him, the angel of death, and now he was leaving him as if refusing him his right to a quick death.

"Com...!" he couldn't finish his sentence when he started vomiting out blood. How much he wanted to ask to be killed, but it never came, until Ken stopped walking and looked back. A black crow, unseen, descended from the sky and hit Marcus's forehead so hard it exploded on impact, dropping his body and ending his life, once life, now a lifeless corpse.
