Chapter 110: Tooru x Ojiro (sweet)

The Tokyo University campus, usually a hive of focused study, buzzed with a different kind of energy. It was Valentine's Day, and the sterile lecture halls and concrete pathways were softened by the blush of pink and red decorations. Tooru Hagakure, her usually invisible form practically radiating excitement, bounced on the balls of her feet as she waited outside the library.

"Ojiro-kun should be here any minute!" she chirped, her disembodied voice filled with anticipation. "Our first Valentine's Day! Isn't it romantic?"

Moments later, Mashirao Ojiro, his signature tail swaying gently behind him, rounded the corner. He carried a small, neatly wrapped box in his hands and a sheepish smile on his face.

"Hey, Hagakure," he said, his voice laced with his usual quiet earnestness. "Sorry I'm late, I was… uh… perfecting my wrapping skills."

Tooru giggled. "Perfecting? For me? Oh, Ojiro-kun, you're the sweetest!"

He offered her the box. "Happy Valentine's Day, Hagakure. I hope you like it."

She eagerly took the gift. "I know I will! Anything from you is perfect!" With deft, unseen hands, she unwrapped the box, revealing a collection of hand-made mochi, each carefully shaped and dusted with different flavors – strawberry, matcha, and a dark, rich chocolate.

"Ojiro-kun! You made these?" Her voice held genuine surprise and delight.

He rubbed the back of his neck, his cheeks flushing. "Well, yeah. I figured a store-bought box wouldn't be as… personal. Plus," he added with a wink, "I wanted to put my quirk to good use. My tail is surprisingly helpful for kneading dough."

Tooru laughed, the sound bright and cheerful. "They look amazing! You're so thoughtful."

He pulled out his own gift from behind his back. It was a simple, elegant silver chain with a small, pearlescent charm attached. "I know you can't, uh, you know… wear typical jewelry," he stammered slightly, "But I thought maybe you could attach this to your gloves. So you'd have… something."

Tooru clasped her hands to where her chest should be. "Ojiro-kun! It's beautiful! Thank you!" She imagined attaching it to her favorite white gloves, the pearly charm gleaming against the fabric. It was a perfect, understated expression of his affection, perfectly tailored to her invisibility.

They spent the afternoon exploring the campus, stopping by their favorite café for steamed buns and sharing stories about their classes. They reminisced about their time at UA High, their laughter echoing through the crisp winter air. Ojiro recounted a particularly embarrassing moment during a sparring match with Kirishima, while Tooru described a hilarious mishap in her modern literature class, involving her accidentally walking through a presentation.

As the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the campus, they found themselves by the koi pond, the surface shimmering with reflected light.

Ojiro took a deep breath. "Hagakure," he began, a seriousness entering his voice. "I… I really like you. You're always so cheerful and positive, and you bring so much light into my life."

Tooru felt a warmth spread through her, a sensation that went beyond the chill in the air. "I like you too, Ojiro-kun. You're kind, and strong, and you always make me feel… seen, even when I'm not."

He reached out and carefully took one of her gloved hands in his. The touch, even through the fabric, sent a delightful shiver down her spine.

"This has been a really great Valentine's Day," he said, his voice soft.

"The best," she agreed, squeezing his hand gently.

As the last rays of sunlight faded, leaving the campus bathed in a soft, violet glow, Tooru leaned her head against Ojiro's shoulder. Even without being physically visible, she felt completely present, completely loved. Their first Valentine's Day as Tokyo University students was perfect, a testament to the growing bond between the invisible girl and the martial arts student with a heart as pure as the freshly fallen snow. In their own unique way, they were celebrating a love that truly saw beyond appearances.
