"I think it's story time…" I gave myself half a minute, followed by a sick smile on my face, all the anger turned to a smile "I saw my mom die" Again the silence but this time from the audience, "In an isolated place we were attacked, we were attacked by the nomu that we killed, it was coming to kill me but his fist went through my mom's gut who jumped in the way …" I stopped, that feeling was taking control "The nomu kept attacking randomly after that, wrecking the place on our heads, we were trapped under the ruins when the dust settled down, there was no nomu, we looked at my mom, I tried to hold her, to do anything. I was perplexed, yet I needed to act, so we started to scream for help and cry," I continued "I didn't have anything other than that, a day wasted in asking for help that never came. The moonlight guided me from the top that we couldn't reach, guided to the sleep. I wake with the sunlight, a small ray of light coming from the ruins" I removed my leg ", a small ray of hope that if I had dropped, I would have died long ago. I moved the stones one by one. my nails were broken, the tips of my fingers were torn, and the open wound on my head was closed by dirt and blood. I kept digging all day and most of the nights until I fell unconscious."
"so do I need to feel empathy for you?" he asked. "I was lucky with rain in a season of no rain", I continued. "Finally, we opened a way for us, and we got out. we dragged my mom with worms moving under her skin; I think that the rain came like a curse as it came as a blessing. my vocal was torn apart, and I would split blood every time I tried to talk. Midnight found me while I was dragging my mom on the cold ruins of the place" I stopped, "What did you learn from this story?" I asked
"Nothing" he answered, I laughed "No, you did but you don't want to say you are wrong" I stomped on his head "I lived because my fire burnt brighter than the hell I was in"
The ice on his side was melting, and he was trying to stand fighting against my leg, until the point when fire surrounded him and pushed me away. "You are right; I was a coward," he exclaimed. The flames danced behind his back to the point where they melted into one "But you're also wrong, my ice was colder than the absolute zero" he extended his hand freezing the air all around him, and the flame compressed more into one ray behind him enforcing the heat in his hand from red to orange then yellow and turning into pure white.
I turned the gloves into a sword and cut my gut from left to right calling every vein in my body 'It's the final move' I thought as all the veins had risen, they melted into the sword shifting it into a giant shield with thorns that I buried to the ground "thanks, Midoriya" the last thing I heard from him "you're welcome"
Midnight striped her costume "Stop him!" she shouted. "I'm on it" Cementoss was building walls to stop Todoroki; five walls rose between us, but all in vain, he aimed his hand at me and fired.
The frozen air that was squeezed suddenly stretched out because of the fire, sending the power of nature first to break through every wall Cementoss put up and to crack my shield. The fire hit then my shield and started to turn it into liquid; the edges of my hair were burnt, and my skin turned red. I started to lose my grip, and the fire pierced my shield and hit me. my grin started to fad with the darkness that covered my eyes 'I lost...again'.
Todoroki stood there with half of his shirt burnt, sucking the air like it was the last on the planet, hands shaking, body burning with pain, a blue and purple spot on his stomach. He looked at his weak hands, his eyes searched the stage, but nothing, finally he noticed me buried in the wall of the stadium; the walls looked like a spider web with me at the centre, with nothing holding me. I fell to the ground.
A very long silence followed by Recovery Girl and a small medical crow. she kissed me the green light appeared but nothing changed, my skin colour stayed red with black patches all over it, and my black hair, the black hole that swallowed my body, Cementoss took Todoroki out while I was sent to the emergency room
"UNEXPECTED EVENT BUT ALL IN HAND, SO LET'S MOVE ON TO THE NEXT ROUND" MIC changed the topic of the audience to the next round. Cementoss started to make the stage, and everything was ready for the new round in 5 minutes.
Kaminari was standing against Momo. Kaminari tried to take the lead and hit with all he had, but Momo was faster, making a plastic blanket and hiding under it. The round ended when Kaminari got dumped.
Then Tokoyami and Kendo, "ready…" both nodded to Midnight "GO".
Dark shadow charged; Kendo put her hand in front of her face; nevertheless, she wasn't hit, a squeezing feeling from her whist. Dark shadow kept wrapping itself around her, and she struggled to get free and forgot Tokoyami, who came from behind, sending his fist and putting his leg in front of hers. She was accelerating to the ground face-first with pain in her head, yet she didn't fall that easy; in an instant, she wrapped her legs around him and dug her fingers in the ground, turning his attack against him and like a mangonel, she threw him. Tokoyami flew to the edge, yet he was ready, pulling his body using Dark shadow as an anchor, sending a double kick, yet he couldn't pass the walls of her hands.
Standing against each other, she couldn't bear that squeezing that would tear her body. Tokoyami ran again to her while she was trying to get rid of Dark Shadow; his grip suddenly loosened and pulled her with full force, which made her lose her balance for a second. She moved her arms to protect herself to find a Dark Shadow spinning around her hands with his golden eyes and a sick smile. Tokoyami came from her front, jumped in the air and landed over her like a rocket; she lay on the ground. He got over her, put his leg over her legs, and pulled her from the neck to a position that took all her moving abilities with the fact that her hands were kept away. He put his arm around her neck and started to hang her. A minute passed of pure struggling followed by another one until "surr…ender" he let her.
Once it ended, Tokoyami gave her his hand "You did great; I thought you wouldn't last the first minute", he said with a smile; she was on the verge of crying, and she sniffed to find a Dark shadow in front of her with two thumbs up and a cute smile. She opened up crying, feeling worthless, and he didn't know what to do. dark Shadow Both started to panic and tried to calm her. "ok, let her" Midnight came, hugged her, and calmed her while the two were still confused. "Sorry", he said and left like that.
After that, he was taught by the girls that he was too brutal in his attacks and the way he put everything like she wasn't even a challenge "But villains won't care" he said "Yes they won't but you aren't one" Mina scold him "he's right, I think all of us must go through this because what type of villain that had mercy" Jiro said and Momo nodded "did you all forgot that we all went through the same but the one that did it was a little gentle" (the invisible girl) said, a long silence struck the place. "did any of you noticed that he changed?" Mina added, the whole class's attention was now on Midoriya "Yes he doesn't flirt or throw his bad jocks here and there" said Jiro "his training is harder than what any of us can handle and I remember that it wasn't like that" Kirishima added "he lost his temperature earlier this week but he didn't lose when he was fighting nomu" Ida pointed "he represented himself when he was talking as We" Momo added.
"still Deku", they looked at Bakugo. "You only know his name, not his story", Bakugo continued with closed eyes. "That's the true him", he added and stood to leave. "Aren't you watching the rest?" Todoroki and Shinso standing face to face "So did you kill him?" no answer came from Todoroki to that and the audience turned silent who they can enjoy it anymore "It seems that you only are like him rooted from the inside?" no answer again for Shinso's questions. "ready…" both nodded "GO" Midnight shouted.
Todoroki froze the whole stage, and spikes grew slowly and trapped the standstill. Shinso "Surrender", he ordered, "Why should I?" Shinso asked in reply. Todoroki tightened his grip and the spikes started to pierce Shinso. Shinso laughed "You think that you are capable of defeating me with ice? You couldn't before, so what makes you think that you can now?" the flames rose from his other part. "I don't care with what p-" The flames vanished "Leave", Shinso commanded this time.
After he won, he left, walking down the corridor "he is right; I have a broken quirk; I think the hot-cold dude is not the only coward" A rare smile formed on his face.
On the stage, Tokoyami and Momo stood. "ready…" they gave her a nod "GO".
Tokoyami sent dark shadow, but a flash bomb was in Momo's hand "shit", Tokoyami exclaimed; the light forced Dark Shadow to run back to Tokoyami "Sorry for the coming", Momo said, and from her skin, a flair was formed, followed by another and another. The stage around her was a death trap to dark shadow with all the blue flairs "Dark skin" dark shadow embraced Tokoyami and hid under his training suit, enhancing Tokoyami's body yet not that much. He flashed to the side when he saw the Uzi that was aimed at him and started to run from bullets. A small grenade formed in her hand. She pulled the safety pin and waited. She threw it a meter in front of him; the explosion was colourful and filled with force like the mines that were in the obstacle course. Momo aimed at Tokoyami, who fell on his back 10 steps ahead. "I surrender". With that, we reached the finals.
