It took the others over 5 minutes to reach the stadium. Bakugo was the first to reach after me and then Todoroki in the 3rd place by less than a second. Fortunately, the whole 1-A conquered the 40 places to continue to the next event

I kept apologizing to her; she still had a pouted face. We were sent again to a room to take a small rest after all that running. I sighed; I looked at Midnight's face to see her gloating face… 'You deserve it' I could hear the words she wanted to say.

I looked at the purple-haired one with some tears in my eyes; I gave him a grin "You saved me right now" He was like an irritated cat in a fight, a tall cat with a dead face and messy, flared, purple hair, "just us?" I looked at him, He nodded.

I put my hand on my chin; a few moments later, it popped up in my mind, "Look, I'm the horse; you're the knight, good?" I asked "Why? Do you have any physical quirks?" he asked back "No, but I believe in my body" I answered him "ok, good enough for me," he said with a dead face looking at all the participants

All we had to plan was 3 minutes but they were enough to set the best plan for the situation. He didn't say anything about his quirk and avoided the question. Also, I didn't insist that much in the first place.

He was on my shoulders and my veins were wrapping around him, I had two white forearm armours

He was stunned for a moment however he didn't dig more into the thing and kept his thoughts to himself, "READDDDDDDDYYYYYYYYY" Mic shouted and the audience roared with him wanting to see some action "You have a broken quirk you just didn't uncover all its potential" "GGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOO" The horn shocked everyone came with Mic's voice

I opened my arms to the world again the audience roared with Mic at the bands that filled my hands in less than a second

All the teams that had targeted me or not, were now chasing me but I stood my ground, and when they came closer all they could see in my hands was nothing, all bands were now flying all around, and my million with them

Simple but effective, from the start, we didn't need to fight or run we would just stay in our place, near the end of the exam I would pull my million band again

I went to a wall and leaned my back. "I feel useless", Shinso said. "Don't worry, with your quirk, being useless is never a possibility" I grinned as Bakugo destroyed Todoroki's ice walls and took the million band from under his nose.

"with a brainwashing quirk if no one knows how it works, no one will be able to avoid being your slave" I said and he nodded. "and you don't want to know how it works?" the scene turned yellow as the lightening waves danced among the teams turning them off. "I want however there is still another challenge, so why the harry?" after that, there was a great fireworks show in the sky with two blonds trying to blow each other

by the end of the 15 minutes, I expanded my hand on the only one that was worth it and fought for it but what bad luck he had! From Bakugo's neck, the only band that had that many zeroes on it was in my hand. Once Bakugo felt the cold on his neck and looked at the only one who could do it in all this mess, his face broke into wrath "Give it back!" Like a rocket cutting his way, he reached us, yet the challenge ended, and the wind blew all his efforts.

We had a short eye contact, he clashed his teeth, his eyes closed, head down, "I'm killing you next time, worthless!" a familiar sentence came out his mouth. "Good luck next time" I grinned at him

He turned and went out of the place after all he had lost, as well as Mina, Kirishima, and Ojiro. I frowned feeling bitter at the end of my mouth, they were my friends too. 'it's an evil world we live in but we will keep living' I thought

"I DON'T KNOW, OR IT's THAT A-1 IS SURPRISING US A LOT OR WHAT?" Mic screaming was attached to audience roars that never stopped, just going high and low. "AND OUR FIRST PLACE COMING WITH ANOTHER RECKLESS PLAN TO OVERCOME THE CHALLENGE" Mic inhaled and the audience stopped waiting for what he was going to say "THE LAZIEST WAY TO WIN, FROM MY PLACE I HONOUR HIM WITH THE LAZIEST FREAKING GENIUS WINNER OF ALL TIMES"

I kept hearing the roars and the laughter while going to change rooms. Shinso and I went separated, yet I could say that he was confused, the empty look in his eyes. I took off and went under the cold water while starting to make everything clear. "Bakugo out so there would be Todoroki, Shinso, Momo, Tokoyami" I sighed "I don't want to fight any of them in the first round" But remembering my notes about them, I just needed to fear Shinso but after being his team 'I don't know if they would do it but it's still on the table'

The cold water was like a drug; it took just 2 minutes, and I lost the trace of my thoughts; the water made things freeze, and I stopped every mental process for 5 more minutes under the drips. I wiped my body and got clothes again. I was heading to my class restroom to meet someone unexpected on the way

"what a coincidence!" I exclaimed; he had his fist tight. 'Yes, a coincidence?' I thought "Mr. Endeavor" I approached "Wow, it's you" smiling. "I'm one of the fans" I gave him my hand for a shack, and he took it. "Always a pleasure to meet a fan", he replied, but his face betrayed him. We had a little talk like any fan and his idol until "All the UA teachers are praising you" he added. "It's nothing, just a reckless one with a heavy wish to die" I knew where all this was going

"you know Todoroki, right?" he asked, "yes, he's one of the strongest in the class, he is…" "Arrogant," he continued

"I won't say that. He is just lost, sad, angry, and regretful" The smile on my face faded. His gaze wanted to pierce me asking for more information "I don't know the whole story and I don't want to know, after all, it's not my family" his face broke down. I looked at his back as he left. 'I feel talkative around those sealed mouths', I went with a red face of embarrassment to the restroom.
