Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Cold-Blooded

The task of subduing Mitsuki was completed. True, at that time I did not think about it at all. But now I still decided to take the reward and work on the next quirk.
Strength is important, especially now. Whether my mother wants it or not, she is my woman now, and there is no way I will let her go. You can only protect your property, sometimes even from it, if you have enough strength.
I still wanted to acquire Persuasion, but I still had doubts about where and when to use this quirk. So, I thought about it and returned to what I had been thinking about earlier. It was not worth deviating from the plan.
Well... Cool. I hope it's worth it.
Like the previous quirk, a strange scarlet aura enveloped my body and then penetrated inside, and I didn't really feel anything. However, looking at the status, I saw that another quirk had become a part of me.

Interesting... After being intimate with my mother, my Aphrodisiac quirk advanced to 10%... Maybe this is the ideal way to develop it? Although, if we remember Blast Wave, the progress will slow down soon.
I should start training.
I did this until the morning, and then visited my mother, but she was asleep. After exchanging a few words with my aunt, I decided to leave. She told me something like, "Give her time, and she'll come running to you herself. What mother would run away after having sex with her own son?" It sounded strange, but in fact, I was also inclined to think the same. And I didn't like wasting time.
Well, I'm going back home on the next train. Tomorrow is already classes at the Academy, and there's not much time before the Festival. So it's better to take up a new quirk and be ready to win.

In fact, Cold-Blooded was a very interesting quirk. Its power was cumulative, and literally any action beyond my "normal" capabilities spent the accumulated energy.
That hero didn't tell about this weakness of his quirk... Rather, he deliberately said and demonstrated that during the battle, by keeping his cool, he became stronger. A smart move.
It was worth guessing. It was also a great decision on his part to keep quiet about this and turn weakness into a method of intimidation.
The best way to accumulate, as I found out, is meditation. However, my quirk skills were so-so, so I could accumulate energy very little, while strengthening myself only twice, no more. Speed and strength increased. Bones and muscles cracked from the strain, but fortunately, it did not harm me much. Although, there is a feeling that if you fight in this state for too long, then microtraumas will turn into serious problems.
Overall, my body barely matched it, and that was because my quirk was zero. It would have clearly worked better if my body had been able to withstand more stress. That's the main advantage of the system. Even though it gave me the most underdeveloped quirk, I still avoided serious damage.
During training, spending this energy and even maintaining composure, the cumulative effect did not cover the costs. Of course, I do not exclude that with the development of the quirk and my own composure, everything can turn into what this hero was talking about. But something told me that either this is impossible, or you need to develop the quirk for years.
Roughly speaking, my current physical stats with this quirk were enough to deal with most of my classmates without using Blast Wave. I could smash a tree trunk into splinters, jump twenty meters high, and run as fast as a wild animal.
I'd like to test it in battle, but there's no way... Even during the Festival, I'll have to use this power wisely and rely mostly on the Blast Wave.
Overall, I was happy with this. Energy could be accumulated in just a couple of dozen minutes, and even if you spent it seriously, it was enough for an hour of continuous running and swinging fists. And this is the most basic form. I will be able to develop my body and will certainly go further.
That's how my days went, right up until the Festival. As for my relationship with Momo, everything was quiet for now. I was, so to speak, "preparing" her and didn't go further than I should have, although there were chances, and more than once. Partly, I wanted to make sure that this wouldn't become a serious problem and wouldn't have consequences. I had acted thoughtlessly with my mother, and more than once. I couldn't repeat that. First of all, it was better to meet her.
By the way, she even called me once after that incident...
The conversation was quite short:
"Mother?"
"H-Hello, Koji..."
"Are you okay?"
"Mm... Everything is fine... I... Happy birthday..."
"Oh? You remember? Amazing..."
"How could I forget?!"
"Well... You know, all sorts of things happened between us..."
"Y-yes... And I want to talk about it... About everything..."
"Okay. Are you coming home?"
"Yes... I promise"
And she hung up.
I don't know what she was thinking about, but judging by her voice, it was very difficult for her to make this call. My birthday was a great occasion. Almost two weeks have passed since then, and tomorrow is the Festival. I think we will meet soon and then I will understand a lot.
If my quirk doesn't cause any serious consequences, I'll continue. Over the past two weeks, many of my classmates have also started looking at me strangely, especially Ashido... I celebrated my birthday at a cafe with a few classmates, and she sat down next to me in a very strange way...
As for my strength, there haven't been any major changes, except that I've learned to use Cold Blooded better and combine it with Blast Wave. Also, my ability to strengthen myself has become quite controllable, so I definitely won't go overboard at the Festival.
Well, let's see how it goes... I was ready and full of energy.
