NOVEL NEXT Chapter 8: Plans for Remnant
After meeting Majistra, Gloom and Shimmer immediately called an urgent meeting between the Fatui to discuss this, but got revealed that Majistra has been an issue since before even Gloom arrived in Teyvat, but with the meeting in session they began discussing a soon incoming plan.
But once the mission was fully disclosed, "YOU WANT TO MAKE A DEAL WITH WHERE!?!?" Shimmer yelled in a panic as she jumped over the table and got a hold of Cirno's collar, shocking everyone currently in the room, "R-rr-emnant!?" Cirno stuttered out, a bit scared by the reaction.
Gloom took the initiative to wrap Shimmer in tentacles and pull her off the Cryo Archon, "Wha- Why did you do that!?" Signora questioned angrily, "Because it's probably the dumbest idea!" Shimmer told her with a face that basically said 'are you dumb!?'
Everyone looked at eachother in confusion at those words, to them Remnant looked advanced in a way that would really benefit nezh- no, all of Teyvat, but here is Shimmer having a fit of rage over the idea, "Let's bring it down a notch okay?" Pantalone suggested in a calm voice, getting everyone to steam down a bit.
"Better." The Rooster said as he looked at Shimmer, "Now, why is it a dumb idea?" He asked, trying to use the same words, "Because Remnant is a heaping dumpster fire." Shimmer elaborated, still sounding aggravated, "Hey now, I've been to Remnant, and besides some jerks and a pest problem, it doesn't seem that bad." Gloom brought up.
The other Harbringers nodded in confirmation, "Yes, Gloom was sent there a year ago to have a report on what it was like." Arlecchino vouched, explaining what the mission was, "Did you interact with any important figures?" Shimmer asked Gloom, who just decided to put her down.
After a bit of thinking, "I have talked to Ghira, and despite living in a not so good place, he was pretty nice." Gloom recalled, thinking of the Faunus, "See, he's maybe the only good one." Shimmer revealed, much to everyone's shock, "That's a huge claim to make, surely you're mixing-" Columbina tried reasoning, but Shimmer began listing.
"Ozpin literally sends teens on suicide missions, Ironwood is rash and has his finger always on the trigger, Lionheart is actively working with the one trying to kill all humans and faunus, Jacques is a literal slavist, and if we really wanna push it, we can count Salem, the one Lionheart is helping." She finished listing, leaving everyone absolutely speechless.
It took a few minutes for everyone to snap out of it, but when they did the uninanimous agreement of "Let's not...", but even then the thought still remained, "Remnant would still be a valuable ally, even with all those problems..." Sandrone pointed out, now conflicted with the idea, "I know, but with all that?" Cirno reminded what Shimmer just revealed about the place.
"...I think I have an idea." Gloom told them, getting their attention, "These are only the people in charge, right?" She asked Shimmer for confirmation, who nodded, wondering where she could be going with this, "So! People clearly would be happy if some of them were gotten rid of!" Gloom pointed out, much to the surprise of everyone.
"Are you thinking of conquering Remnant!?" Arlecchino questioned in stupor, "You-... It could work..." Pulcinella said in contemplation, "Thinking about it, it would definetly work." Signora agreed with a nod, "We'd also have inside people, I can think of a few that would move to our side if we 'convinced' them a bit." Shimmer added with a slightly evil tone.
Everyone looked at the current Tsaritsa for her input, "We could, but with the technology they have on hand? Let alone the fact they also started receiving Visions." Cirno brought up, surprising Shimmer, "Some of these guys should not have access to Visions." Shimmer stated coldly, "Still, the firepower they have would give even people from Natlan a run for their money." Columbina pointed out.
Right as they were about to folder the mission for the time being, Shimmer stood up, "Wait I know!!" she exclaimed, having had a great idea, "Teyvat alone would probably not be able to, but who says other worlds wouldn't wanna help?" She suggested, looking at the Harbringers sitting around the table.
The idea hovered in the air for a bit before Cirno flew over to Shimmer and shook her hand, "You are a GENIUS!!" She complimented the fifth before turning to an agent stationed in the room, "Get the map!" She ordered, to which the agent nodded and went off.
A moment later, he returned with a rolled up paper in hand, "Thank you!" Cirno said as she took the map and rolled it out on the table, "Us Archons managed to map out some of the worlds and see them a bit, there's more, but do you recognize any of these?" Cirno explained to Shimmer, who moved to check the map.
"Okay, so... There's the Mushroom Kingdom and Hyrule who might accept... I recognize the shape of this one, but I doubt we'd convince anyone from here... Nazarick is a risk so no, but we can definetly ask for help from those who live in Stark tower over here in New York, and Gotham gives us access to a lot of people so we should try there too." Shimmer listed.
Pulcinella wrote down everything Shimmer said, "Anywhere else?" He asked, "The only other one that will be easy to find is U.A. but other than that." Shimmer added, prompting the Rooster to write that down too, "Alright, I'll plan out the groups to send, until I'm done do whatever you want." Cirno instructed.
With that, the meeting was over and the Harbringers went to enjoy their personal time, except for Shimmer and Gloom, the latter being held back by the former, "D-do you want to... Hang out a bit?" Shimmer asked, sounding unusually shy, "...Is something wrong?" Gloom asked a bit concerned.
