Chapter 24: 24. Terminal
Location: Seth's Central Plaza
In the middle of Seth's circular plaza, A cloaked figure was admiring the magical floating fishes swimming in the sky. At the same time, a group of individuals with myriad shapes and sizes nervously waited by the side.
The figure saw one of those ethereal cosmic fish splashed into a sea that perfectly reflected the dark blue starry skies above.
"Wasn't this watery ocean white before?"
"We heard that Sir Seth made it very reflective because the white sea alluded to something inappropriate" a thin-as-paper humanoid replied.
A horned imp brought a small table and chair for the figure to sit.
"Esteemed guest! Forgive us for making you wait, Do you find the chair suitable for your usage?" A crystal person next to the imp asked in a groggy voice. If you look closer you can tell its eyes were jittering.
The figure replied, "It is acceptable." and proceeded to sit on it
"Esteemed guest! we have prepared tea for you, our complimentary gift for the esteemed you." An elf placed a tea set at the small table and poured a cup for the figure to taste.
The figure took a sip and complimented, "This tea, it's exceptional, is this Seth's signature blend?"
A small treant from the group spoke, "This is just ordinarily brewed tea, but it uses tea leaves that were specifically bred and developed by our team to have the best taste. You have to hand it to Sir Seth, without his realm and expertise, we could only reach this level in years."
The figure found the tea to be otherworldly, "How long did it take you to reach this level with Seth's helping hand?"
"About… eight days." the tree person spoke in a lower tone.
"As expected of him," the cloaked figure muttered before going back to watch the fishes in the sky.
The group that tended to this cloaked figure secretly sighed in relief, they were all outsourced personnel from civilizations that collaborated with the organization. They were nervous because they had been taught about the peculiarities and capabilities of gods.
At first, they didn't take it seriously, but whatever Eris had done the previous days changed their mind.
The loss and property damage her bad luck brought was… many of them shuddered as they remembered.
Since ancient times, many people believed that disasters were divine punishments caused by a god's wrath, sadness, disapproval, etc.
As the goddess of luck and fortune, her punishments affect luck.
Simply put, her sour mood brought bad luck and misfortune throughout Seth's realm.
A weird series of unlucky events ensued. Many of their ongoing experiments went bust. The cages of dangerous beasts malfunctioned and broke open, causing them to rampage throughout the realm.
So many expensive pieces of equipment were lost in the mess and almost all their stock of consumables became junk overnight. Luckily Seth stopped it before the whole thing escalated.
This was why the group tended to the cloaked figure, while they may not know the person, they feared a second time.
As if salvation came, a portal appeared in front of them.
"Greetings, forgive my lateness, I was not informed of your arrival." Seth greeted as Eris and Jif also emerged from the portal.
"I don't mind it. Your workers are very accommodating, but I could tell it was not for good reason." The figure said perfunctory.
"Forgive them, they had just gone through a very unpleasant experience," Seth replied, to which Eris reacted. Seth then continued, "Forgive me, but may I know your name?"
"You can call me Madame M." the cloaked figure introduced herself.
"Pleasure to meet you, madame. I assume you came here for a reason?"
Madame. M. nodded and handed Seth a card and a chip from her cloak, "Here is your Multiversal Terminal Certificate, and this chip is your legal Multiversal Anchor Node to allow access to this place across the Omniverse."
"Thank you." Seth used his power to scan them before lightly placing the chip in the middle of the plaza. The chip was absorbed into the ground before a new bridge suddenly sprouted out from one side of the plaza.
It extended into a new direction, after quite a distance, a small orb puffed itself out at the other end of the dangling bridge.
Seth slowly pointed both his index fingers to his forehead's temple, looking like a telecommuting telepath. Seconds later a rumble was felt as the small orb shape transformed into a platform with a futuristic tower on its side.
A small metallic 4x4 Rubik's cube magically dropped from the platform. It was only the size of a small fridge, but when it fell a certain distance from the platform, the cube stopped falling and grew and reached the span of a mile on all sides.
The cube rotated in all directions before suddenly splitting into two, one to the top and the other to the bottom.
Both parts extended into miles-long plate strips and smaller cubes mechanically jutted out and unfolded from it, forming the buildings on the plates.
As the construction slowed down, everyone observed the final product. It was a two-story sci-fi city, levitating in the middle of space, with star-filled skies in the background.
Jif and many of Seth's outsourced employees became tranced at the cool techno metamorphosis of the city. Madame M. and Eris on the other hand just enjoyed the show.
"Done, The multiversal terminal has been made. I haven't thought of a name yet, but all of you should come." Seth invited all of them.

Location: Seth's Multiversal Terminal
When they arrived, all they could do was to admire the surroundings. They felt like they had just entered a cyberpunk space station with more white future aesthetics to reduce the cyberpunk design's innate grittiness.
The whole place was made out of a mysterious metal that exuded a gradient of metallic color with no sheen on it. Monitors, holographic displays, neon tubes, and much more stellar-like technology fitted themselves around the place, yet they were positioned to blend in with the surrounding metal infrastructure, making sure they did not stick out like a sore thumb.
As Madame M., Eris, Jif, and Seth's employees wandered around the place, they found the terminal's design weirdly rushed but still thoughtful.
The top level was the bridged platform that leads them to Seth's central plaza. It had a small tower on the side that they assumed to be the main control of the whole terminal.
The middle level, which was the top plate, housed a futuristic shopping district that housed many kinds of facilities with a variety of functions like warehouses, entertainment districts, commercial malls, hotels, and so much more.
Finally, the bottom level, which was at least twice as long as the middle level, only had portals, harbors, and docking stations on it. This place was like a combination of a train station, a ship's harbor, an airport, and more.
"Honestly the bottom level was already enough, the middle level's shopping district seemed overkill. " Madame M replied.
"I tend not to hold back."
"I didn't mean to demean you, while a lot of your facilities are overly optimized. It also makes them much better than your competitors."
"Thank you."
"Though I do notice that this place still needs some refining
"Don't worry, we have top architects, city (or planet) planners, landscapers, and designers for stuff like this," Seth mentioned.
Through the organization's collaboration. Many experts in those sectors were instantly on board with helping Seth design his realm. Seth's realm and anything in it could always be adjusted and edited to a tee.
In their eyes, they were given an unlimited sandbox to design and create anything they pleased. Since everything they designed would poof into existence in mere seconds, it became free advertisements for their skills without any hassle work.
In the beginning, when he used his power over his realm to create many fantastical buildings, he just wanted to make the coolest things his (previously) mortal mind could have ever imagined, but after Aqua and Eris's first visit. They suggested something crucial.
Aqua spoke of these when they had to go through a long bridge every time they wanted to visit different places.
"Seth, these roads and bridges are TOO long! It takes forever to go ANYWHERE! I'm bored!!!" That was Aqua's first 'suggestion' that dawned realization on him.
The carpet-like moving platform and the entertaining fishes in the skies did help keep the journey from becoming stale, but the travel time between each of his places adds up to too much time (chapter 5).
Although Seth's abilities allowed him to be a master at architecture and city planning, a second view or opinion will always be beneficial in the long run.
After the two goddesses left, Seth reduced the distance between each grand island/sector. It's only when the experts came in that the places in his realm became more integrated into a unified complex
The experts did their job, optimizing and merging many of Seth's varied and wondrous buildings into themed complexes. For example, they merged his infinite floor library tower with an apothecary, an observatory, an arena, a mana-producing well, and more to create a dream campus for any magic arts users across the multiverse.
With the suggestions and scrutiny of many experts, even the most minute details were discussed. Seth felt it was refreshing when he debated fiercely with them over even the mere color of a library's lamp.
Some experts even liked this realm enough to appoint their star apprentices to intern as Seth's employees. Their job was to assist Seth as Seth's consultant, contacting their masters if new facilities (like this terminal) had been made, and open a branch of his master's bureau when Seth's realm opened completely to the public.
After all of this, everyone had enough of inspecting his new multiversal terminal, they left the place through a tractor-beam-like elevator that floated them to the bridged platform.
As they gathered, multiple platforms arose from the bridge's floor and scooped each one of them individually. The platforms went to the outside periphery of the bridge before a holographic path connected them to their destination complex. With this all of them whizzed away in a flash, leaving Seth, Madame M., Eris, and Jif alone.
Jif was Seth's assistant/secretary. He might look childish but he was trained for this. As for Eris, her role as Seth's mentor still stood, even if it didn't, eris still served another purpose.
"Now that's done, here's the other thing I was tasked to tell you." Madame M. handed a letter.
Seth opened the letter, read it, and summarized it. "They already prepared the next event. It will be my semi-public debut to all the groups and civilizations we worked with, or at least to those close to our organization right?"
"Yes, the isekai internship was your first appearance, but only to the isekai department, you were still not known by the masses connected to our organization" Madame M. added.
"I am your organization's ambassador, right? Remind me again why?"
"You mean why an unknown rookie became the representative of a top echelon in the omniverse?"
"Yes." Seth nodded.
Madame M. only smiled under her cloak. How could Seth tell? Body language.
Receiving no answers, Seth proceeded, "Anything Else, Madame M.?"
"Let me check," She pulled out a notebook before replying, "The merchants will arrive at your terminal soon, they will open a multiversal wormhole near your terminal. Don't blast them to smithereens." Madame M. reminded as she stared at the ominous turrets wielding luminescent fishes in the distance.
"Duly noted," Seth remembered when a behemoth his workers brought to his realm escaped its cages. The luminescent sea creatures in his sky took offense and transformed into shooting stars with the intent to kill.
The behemoth was as big as a continent, yet it was pinned to the ground by the rammings of millions of his starry fishes.
It was then discovered that Seth could command these creatures to a certain extent. Seth out of instinct shouted at the fish to stop, which they reluctantly did before shooting a few more potshots at the beast. The behemoth suffered hundreds of thousands of puncture wounds and was bleeding all over the place.
Fortunately, a few biology experts and veterinarians were already in place to treat the behemoth before bringing it to Seth's zoo/research center. Seth even tinkered with its memory to prevent the unpleasant symptoms of PTSD.
"Yes Seth, make sure your 'trigger happy' fishes keep their fingers off their cannons." Eris chided.
"Don't look down on them, they are vigilant and obedient to my beck and call. Perfect for security." Seth replied.
"I still find it unnecessary that you equip them with freaking orbital cannons!"
"What!? They have 20/20 eyesight and actual opposable thumbs! You can even tell that they liked their cannons!" Seth pointed at an eel-like fish giddily circling its satellite cannon.
"Then why did you give thousands of them, you even gave that whale an actual planet buster!?" Eris shouted as a gigantic cosmic whale leaped across the dark starry waters with a planet-ending railway cannon on its back.
"Hey, this is the omniverse we are dealing with, we have no clue about what could come to this place! I'm just upholding the security, defense, and safety of my realm here."
"If you love to uphold safety so much, you should watch over Aqua more often, she is completely defenseless in such a harsh world! If you at least care about her, why don't you allow me to go back to Aqua's place…"
"Oh! Don't tell me it's about that again!" Seth's face plamed, "No! I am not allowing you to go back there because I could tell you just wanted to off Wiz to the 'actual' afterlife! Again!"
"She's a Lich! Listen to me, Seth! How could you help a powerful undead start her business!"
"But she hasn't done a single punishable thing since she defected the demon king's army!"
"Seth you can't ignore the dangers those kinds could bring! Her defection could even be a wicked plot!"
"Eris, we've already been through this same thing twice, I even let you see her history. Plus the other prophets and future readers took my side! They forbid you to end Wiz too!"
"BUT STILL!-" Eris and Seth continued their heated bickering again.
Madame M. watched in intrigue while Jif could only sigh at it.
"Little fella, Were they always like this?" Madame M. joked.
"Sigh… I just hope Eris won't cause a disaster like last time." Jif belatedly answered as Seth and Eris quarreled their hearts out.
