Chapter 7: Chapter 7: The Spy and the Kryptonian
Kara walked through the bustling school corridor, her thoughts elsewhere. She wasn't particularly interested in school itself—academically, she was leagues ahead of her peers. Thanks to her Kryptonian genes and advanced intellect, the material taught here was child's play.
Still, she attended because Martha insisted on it.
As she rounded a corner, she collided into someone hard.
A girl—red hair, piercing green eyes, athletic build.
Kara barely stumbled, but the other girl fell backward, landing with a soft thud.
"Oof." The redhead groaned, rubbing her back. "Guess I should watch where I'm going."
Kara offered a hand. "Are you okay?"
The girl took it, pulling herself up with a smile. "Yeah. My fault."
She dusted herself off before holding out a hand. "Natasha. Natasha Romanoff. Just transferred here."
Kara gave a small smile. "Kara Kent."
Natasha's eyes flickered with curiosity. "Kent, huh? Any relation to the Kents from the farm?"
Kara nodded. "They're my adoptive parents."
"Nice." Natasha grinned. "Guess we'll be seeing more of each other."
Kara nodded.

Flashback – SHIELD Headquarters
Nick Fury stood in a dimly lit office, arms crossed as he studied Natasha Romanoff. At 18 years old, she was already one of SHIELD's top assets, her skills in espionage, combat, and manipulation unmatched.
Across the desk, a thick file sat open.
The subject? Kara Kent.
"She's different," Fury said, tapping the document. "We've kept eyes on her for years, but after that incident on the farm, it's clear she's more than just a stranded alien. She's dangerous."
Natasha arched an eyebrow. "And what do you need me for?"
"Simple." Fury leaned forward. "You're going undercover. High school student, same grade as her. Get close. Earn her trust. Learn what she is."
Natasha smirked. "You want me to play best friends?"
"Exactly."
Natasha tilted her head. "And if she turns out to be a threat?"
Fury's expression darkened. "Then we'll take appropriate action."

Present – Kara and Natasha's Growing Friendship
Days turned into weeks, and just as planned, Natasha quickly integrated herself into Kara's life.
Kara had no doubts about her—Natasha was charming, easygoing, and fiercely intelligent. They bonded over school, training, and late-night talks.
She even introduced Natasha to her adoptive parents.
Jonathan had been cautious at first, but Martha had been welcoming, treating Natasha like another daughter.
Kara had never fully opened up to anyone outside her family before, but with Natasha… she let her guard down.

Meanwhile, Kal Watched and Smirked
From the moment Natasha stepped into their home, Kal (Clark) saw right through her.
To everyone else, she was just a new transfer student, an ordinary teenager.
To him?
She reeked of SHIELD.
He had no doubts about her true identity. But did he care?
Not in the slightest.
As long as SHIELD didn't interfere with him, they could watch all they wanted.
If anything, he found it amusing.
Let them send more women like Natasha. Maybe, in the future, he'd take care of them personally.
For now, he would simply wait.
He is just a kid after all.
