Masked Souls

Chapter 9: Twisted nightmare

In the night, inside Henry's house, something was observing how Henry was sleeping, and then, slowly invaded his mind.

Inside Henry's dream, there was a lament memory for his daughter. Henry is still unable to move on, despite he believes Charlie might still be somewhere.

Henry is kneeing towards the tombstone of Charlotte, and a little music box is playing the Puppet's song, the one Henry himself composed for Charlie, for when she felt scared, in the nights, when she was feeling alone, or sad.

Slowly, Henry started hearing a strange but altered laugh, which was of Fredbear. Similar to Freddy Fazbear, but much more deeper, and slightly slower.

Henry turned back, but only saw darkness. Henry tried to calm himself down, but when turns back to look at the tombstone, there was nothing, he was now kneeing towards the darkness of the void.

Slowly, that laughter was heard more and more, as is wasn't only one laughing, but multiples of the same.

After a moment, suddenly, he started hearing cries in front of him. He lifted up his head, still being held with a nervous grip of his own hands, and sees Dave, what makes Henry instantly remember the bite of '83.

The rest of the dream... Slowly became a haunt of guilt and fear, unable to describe, but generated by Henry himself, and his feeling of each incident. The bite incident of Fredbear's Family Diner, the murder of his daughter outside the first Freddy Fazbear's Pizza...

Meanwhile, in the warehouse of Fazbear Entertainment, Puppet slowly wakes up, and finds herself trapped and handcuffed again, in the same room, and unable to do anything, except 'calling' SpringBonnie for help.

In the offices, the superiors are deciding if test one of the 'stolen' prototypes experiments they obtained from Afton's Robotic in Circus Baby's Pizza World, as part of a secret agreement between William Afton, and Fazbear Entertainment. The franchise would support William in his experiments, as long he wasn't discovered and exposed, and in return, the franchise could obtain use of the experiments and prototypes William creates. One of this experiments, being a strange gas, invisible to the human eye, since it is colorless, and the retinas of the human eyes are unable to detect the particles of the gas; this gas disables the correct function of the human brain, disabling anyone to properly think, and also have an altered vision of reality.

Stephen: "Susie, did the team prepared the experiment?"

Susie: "Yes, the team delivered the gas to the ventilation system, and when the yellow button is pressed, the ventilation towards the room where the yellow rabbit is located in the Hallway 1. They also prepared the endos Mimic-T to a storage room nearby, in case you wanted to see them after the injection with the Blood-R."

Stephen: "Alright, set the cameras, wake it up, and lets start first with the gas, and then, lets see the effect of the Blood-R."

Susie presses the button for the audio system, and communicates to open the vent of room C of Hallway 1, what in after few seconds, opens, and while the gas slowly enters the room, the chair where SpringBonnie is being handcuffed, suddenly activates it's electricity, electroshocking SpringBonnie, waking him up, while also stunning him.

Few seconds later, the electroshock stops, what ables SpringBonnie to breathe in relax, but unknowing the extreme danger of doing so.

SpringBonnie recovers after a moment of taking his breath, what is fatal, and what will cause a fatal outcome for him. At first, the gas inside SpringBonnie does not have any instant effect, neither a soon direct effect, what makes the superiors wonder if is being affected to the gas, or even if the gas is outdated, or even if the gas is not finished and required any thing else to be completed.

Stephen, awaiting results, does not hesitate, and goes for the second experiment, thinking, that at least, one of both experiments must work.

The door of the room opens, and quickly, SpringBonnie tries to break his handcuffs, but after trying, he feels his arms heavier than they should, and finds himself incapable of breaking himself free. After a while, the excessive time and effort from SpringBonnie to break free, calls the attention of the superiors, now seeing a direct effect of the gas in the animatronic. Finally, after a big while, and with high difficulty, SpringBonnie got able to break free, but almost falling down in the process, and kneeing.

Slowly, SpringBonnie reaches the door with difficulty to move, and enters the Hallway 1, and in confusion, ends walking through the hallways towards where is the next experiment, but in the way, guards get benefit of being able to have the advantage against SpringBonnie, so they don't hesitate in give an electroshock. SpringBonnie is unable to defend himself, and all he can see, are strange humanoid stabbing him with strange claws with charges inside, that explodes in the touch, and releases the electric charge in the process.

After a big time, almost 40 minutes, the guards push SpringBonnie inside the storage room where the next experiment is. The light turns on, and SpringBonnie instantly sees the terror of hell in front of him. Over 30 endos Mimic-T, who's aspect is the same to the Mimic, but strangely, developed a development and growth of human bones on arms, legs, and torso, now having sharp bones all over the endoskeleton, and sharp ribs in the sides of the torso. But for SpringBonnie, who is under the effects of the gas, their appearance is more darker and bloody, with sharper bones and ribs, and even sharp claws and sharp teeths, and with red yellow bright pupils.

SpringBonnie takes steps back, but touches the door closed with his back, what makes him struggle even more with the terror over him. The Mimics-T don't wait, and all of them rush over SpringBonnie, who is only able to cover himself with his arms, but very badly, as is easily overwhelmed in low time by the amount of them against him.

Slowly, SpringBonnie starts being damaged, despite the gas generated a significantly weakness on him, the suit remains almost untouched, what difficulties the Mimics-T, the possibility to deal a noticeable damage.

SpringBonnie gets gripped on his arms and legs, but with high effort and difficulty, and using the determination inside his soul, forces himself to push even further, and the terror inside him, and reaches to break free each time, but remains unable to fight back, but simply resist.

In a desperate move, kicks with all the strength he has left, and takes down the door, and tries to flee, what he manages in doing so, as the Mimics-T are incapable of running, much less of at high speed as SpringBonnie.

SpringBonnie flees successfully, but is being chased by the Mimics-T through the hallways. The superiors observe the slight received damage SpringBonnie received, but still notorious. In the way, some guards try to stop SpringBonnie, but he reacts in terror, still under the effects of the gas, rushing and pushing everything on his way, and trying to avoid everyone and everything.

Lost in the warehouse, he can't see any difference between each hallway of the building, so he ends in a labyrinth, but always keeps running away, as the guards are also trying to stop him.

In a sudden desperation, he accidentally enters the lab, where Bonnie was being experimented on. SpringBonnie wonders where he is, and wanders around the lab, seeing much blood all over the room, much syringes used as still have remaining drops of blood and stains.

After a look around, he suddenly sees a dark blue rabbit, sitting on a chair, handcuffed, with blood over it, and standing still, like a dead corpse. He remains still for a moment, but then, slowly starts approaching, in fear for it to start moving.

After getting near, he tries to remain away, but fights against himself, and touches it's head, what reaction ends in moving and falling to look down, from the position it had at looking up.

SpringBonnie takes a step back instantly, but then struggles in doing another move, but... He had a feeling... He knew what that thing was...

SpringBonnie took a deep breath, and grabbed it's head with his left hand, and then lifted it up. After holding it's head, he tried to open it's mouth, what resulted much more easier than he thought, because the sharp theeths.

Despite the check, he couldn't figure out what that thing was, but was sure about it being dead. It had to be dead, right? If is not moving, and looks and acts like a corpse... It must be a corpse. But after he fought to figure it out, and decide about the situation, he heard outside much steps. They were getting closer, and he had to flee, or else... He could probably end as another corpse.

In a rush, he tried to search other way to leave the lab, but then saw a pipe of gas, connected to a machine. It didn't matter for what was the machine, he was unable to either see what the machine looks like, or even know what it would do, so he went and broke the pipe with slight difficulty, still weak. And after grabbing metal pieces from breaking parts of the lab, he shock each piece with each other, in search of creating a sparkle, that after a little moment, reached to appear.

The sparkle fell directly in the gas, generating a chemical reaction, that ended in a simple explosion, where all the lab got pushed by the force of the explosion. SpringBonnie got pushed with strength, and receiving a big damage from the explosion, and crashing against the wall behind him.

It didn't last long before more chemical reactions followed behind, one by one, more explosions happened, slowly going up to the roof, and then, all around the warehouse.

After a moment of chaos, the guards tried to flee to the outside, trying to save their selves; the Mimics-T remained in the chase; SpringBonnie fled from the lab, and tried to find his way; while Puppet was still handcuffed, and unable to leave by herself; and for Bonnie... Rebecca died time ago, as all that remains inside Bonnie, is the dead body of Rebecca, left out of remnant and blood.

The warehouse in low time started to fall apart. Much of the guards reached out of the building, and all the superiors. Stephen wasn't worried about everything inside the Warehouse, they had everything they needed, and everything else was just savage for pieces.

Inside the warehouse, suddenly, a part of the ceiling falls down, hitting Puppet, but luckily, the hit was on her back, and mostly on the chair, breaking the chair and the handcuffs in the process, and almost trapping her to her death, by being buried in debris.

Puppet flies out of the room A of the Hallway 3, trying to make her way out, while dodges the parts of the ceiling that are falling apart. In her way, suddenly finds SpringBonnie, who at see her flying towards him, instantly panics, as he sees how a flying demon of the darkness, with a menace mask with six eyes, a big creepy smile with sharp teeths, and six tentacles, as three in each side, and able to fly.

SpringBonnie doesn't hesitate and turns around, running away, not caring or worrying anymore about the falling parts of the building, as even if any falling debris hits him, he is decided to tank it, as is more worth than try to dodge and lose valuable time from escaping from this demon.

Puppet, by seeing how SpringBonnie is running, tries to call him, but after few seconds, she sees it doesn't work, and he keeps running like nothing, until a minute later, that SpringBonnie slowly stops and turns around, as hears in his mind Charlie's voice.

Charlie using his soul, enters inside his mind, as if the program doesn't work and he evades it, then she had to convince him to accept the program, for it to work once again. His determination was the only thing stopping the programming from working, and so, the call from Puppet.

SpringBonnie stares at Puppet, who remains with some distance away, floating and staring at him, both staring at each other, while the building is falling apart. As was obvious, suddenly, a big debris falls from the ceiling on SpringBonnie, who barely gets able to react, but few seconds later, SpringBonnie throws the debris aside, but received damage from the impact.

Puppet slowly flied closer and closer, while continued talking with him, to calm him down, as she wonders his way of act. She manages to reach him, and tries to place her left hand on his right cheek, but at first, SpringBonnie reacts by moving his head slightly back, but then stops and slowly leans forward, allowing Puppet to continue her move.

As the warehouse continue to fall down, almost everything is already collapsed, suddenly, a white green flash is seen, for then, hear a big strong sound from inside the building, and then, is seen how SpringBonnie gets out of the warehouse by a jump, breaking through the remaining ceiling before it completely collapses down, and with Puppet holding at his back and shoulders.

The guards get frustrated; Mark burns mad in anger, frustration, and for the impotence of being unable to take them down himself; Susie observes Stephen, who seems relaxed; the other superiors remain nervous, as they are worried about the investors and the investments, but then, Stephen takes a step to relax them.

Stephen: "Is true we just lost everything our main warehouse contains, but one thing is sure. We have the most important things, and everything inside can be rescued. Let's plan our next move, and be prepared.

The superiors tried to relax, and started planning their next move. They needed the investors to act and invest on them, and call the attention for even more investors to bet on them, and so, they were going to continue forward, and be the competence of Michael and Henry, and if it was going to be a challenge, Stephen was even more for it as if it wouldn't.

After SpringBonnie breaking out from the remaining roof of the warehouse with a jump, he successfully fled with Puppet holding on his back and shoulders, and her hands on his chest with a hug.

SpringBonnie's speed was much slower,l and his jumps are with less height and more weak. And despite Puppet's assistance on his soul, her effects doesn't seem to be working. The gas has a strong weakness on him, his body and his system, but as side effect, on his soul.

After a difficult and long travel, SpringBonnie with high effort went through the streets in the middle of the night, reaching Henry's house. SpringBonnie tried to open the door, but the knob was locked, so he knocked.

After a moment, nothing happens, so he knocked again again. After a big while and multiples tries, suddenly, something wakes Henry up, and he wakes up by a jump. Henry, surprised and dizzy, remains stunned for a slight moment, before hearing knocks on the door.

As Henry gets up from the bed, and goes to the entrance door, a silhouette in the darkness slowly fades away while observes Henry. Once in the entrance door, Henry unlocked the door, and opened it, but jumps by surprise by seen SpringBonnie with Puppet, and how Puppet is hugging SpringBonnie from behind, and how her arms are up of his shoulders and her hands on his chest. But what worries Henry, is the state SpringBonnie is.

SpringBonnie doesn't hesitate and goes inside at the first second the door is open, and then, walks directly to the wall of the living room, leaning towards it, and sitting against it, while Puppet flies slightly away and slowly sits him.

Henry observes with curiosity while closes the door and locks it back again. He sees how Puppet sits SpringBonnie, and then, SpringBonnie rises his left hand and grabs her right arm, but she responds with a soft touch and grip on SpringBonnie's left hand and arm with her left hand. This slowly relaxes SpringBonnie, dropping his grab on her right arm, allowing her to place on his forehead. His eyes flashed a white color, and then, his head slowly fell down, but Puppet placed her head and arms comfortably against the wall and down.

Henry moved closer, intrigued, but more, worried by the status SpringBonnie came back. He clearly sees the slight dismantled damage on SpringBonnie's torso, legs, armpits, arms, and guesses that on SpringBonnie's back also must have damages too. The damage wasn't deep, but SpringBonnie seems slightly withered from torso to legs; but SpringBonnie's feet, neck, and head, are in good normal state.

Henry looks at Puppet after a visual check on SpringBonnie, and Puppet also looks at Henry. Henry feels bad and deep sadness by looking at Puppet, as remember how he configured Puppet with a programming he coded himself, to look after his daughter and be her friend, after Fazbear Entertainment gave him the Puppet suit with a Mimic endoskeleton.

For his surprise, suddenly, Puppet grabbed his left hand with her right hand, and leaded him towards him room. After both enter, Henry remains confused in how Puppet knows where his room is, but before he can try to understand, he sees himself be slowly pushed to his bed. He gets into his bed, and then sees how Puppet flies out of the room, closing the door behind her. Henry decides to let it be for now, and for the morning to figure it out, but already has an idea of how Puppet is aware of where his room was.

Puppet flied towards SpringBonnie, but on her way to the living room, doesn't find Golden Freddy. When she reaches the living room on the first floor, as Henry's room was on the second room, she looks around, but still no trace of Golden Freddy. So she decided to not care, as she knows at some point Dave will appear, and then, she slowly placed herself up of SpringBonnie, hugging him while slowly going to sleep and rest.

Puppet could have prefer be on her old room, but knowing the state of SpringBonnie, she needed to use remnant, and fix him, and so, that is why she decided to pass the night hugging him, as she was trying to grab remnant from his soul, and slowly use it to fix SpringBonnie passively during the night, while she rests.
