"Sorry, I used it up during the previous fight."

Hawkeye shrugged, and Coulson let out a regretful sigh.

Seeing he couldn't persuade Coulson, Garrett immediately shifted his focus to George.

He knew that George was the person with the most authority here and the strongest among them. If he could convince George, the opinions of Coulson and the others wouldn't matter.

"Mr. George, Hydra holds no ill will toward you mutants.

If you and your kind are willing to join Hydra, we can create a separate nation for mutants where you can live safely and freely, without worrying about interference from these ignorant governments.

Otherwise, you don't want this conflict to continue, and risk your school and the students there suffering harm, do you?"

Upon hearing Garrett's words, Coulson's expression immediately changed. He was concerned that George might be swayed by Garrett's offer. For mutants, such a proposition was highly tempting.

Just as he was about to warn George not to be fooled, Black Widow subtly tugged at his arm. Following her gaze, he noticed Captain America and Professor X nearby.

That's when it clicked. With Captain America and Professor X here, there was no way George would fall for Hydra's trap.

Indeed, after hearing Garrett's offer, George's face showed a look of disdain.

"I can't even imagine the kind of reputation Hydra has, and besides, there are no mutants left in the world, only individuals with superhuman abilities. My school isn't called 'Mutant Academy'; it's called 'Academy of Superhuman Abilities.'

So, there's no need to create a nation just for mutants.

In the end, neither my school nor my students will be harmed. The only ones who'll end up hurt are you Hydra members."

If mutants were allowed to develop into a powerful force, Hydra would never stand by and let them establish a nation.

In fact, if he and his students joined Hydra, it wouldn't take long before they'd end up on Hydra's experimental tables.

Moreover, Hydra posed no real threat to him at this point.

"You'll regret this!" Garrett snarled, seeing that George had rejected him so decisively. Knowing he couldn't convince him, he fell silent.

Now, his only hope was that once the school was overtaken, he'd have a chance to escape.

"Do you think they can find us here?"

Hill and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents looked out the window at the armed helicopters flying overhead, their faces full of concern.

The helicopters weren't just carrying Hydra soldiers; they also had various energy cannons, and even small missile launchers.

If they found the school, there was no chance they'd be able to defend it.

"Don't worry," George said with confidence, "Even if they searched here for a year, they wouldn't be able to locate the school."

He was absolutely certain about the effects of the Heartfelt Loyalty Spell.

"The real concern is if they blanket this entire area with indiscriminate attacks," Coulson and Black Widow said, worry etched on their faces.

Even if the school was well hidden, a random attack could still hit it. The real problem was that innocent nearby civilians would likely suffer casualties. Hydra was more than capable of such reckless actions.

"Right, then let's deal with them."

George nodded nonchalantly.

The school was protected by a magical barrier, so ordinary attacks wouldn't be a problem. However, passive suffering wasn't his style.

"Do you want me to use the electroencephalogram amplifier to control them?"

Professor X offered, his voice calm.

With his level-three psychic ability, it wouldn't be as powerful as a level-four, but with the amplifier, he could easily control all the Hydra soldiers nearby.

"I'm afraid that won't work."

Coulson awkwardly explained, "S.H.I.E.L.D. has developed devices that block psychic waves specifically targeting your abilities, George and Professor. Those Hydra soldiers probably have similar devices as well."

After Black Widow and Coulson's memories were altered by George, coupled with the widespread knowledge of Professor X's abilities, Nick Fury felt a huge sense of urgency.

He ordered S.H.I.E.L.D.'s scientists to create special devices that could block psychic invasions when applied to the temples.

Since Hydra had infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. so thoroughly, they had access to these technologies as well. With the information from traitors like Garrett, Hydra knew just as much about the Academy of Superhuman Abilities as S.H.I.E.L.D. did.

Hydra's focus was on eliminating the biggest threats, and they deemed the rejuvenated Professor X as the most dangerous. While George was strong, his previous record of battling the Arkley Gene Corporation wasn't on the same level as Professor X's.

As for the events in New Mexico, both S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra were too occupied with their own conflicts to be aware of them.

Hydra didn't know about the Divine Domain, nor were they aware of Thor's identity.

Therefore, from Hydra's perspective, if they could neutralize Professor X, the Academy of Superhuman Abilities wouldn't pose much of a threat. With the psychic-blocking devices, Professor X's abilities were effectively nullified.

"Unbelievable."

George couldn't help but scoff. Nick Fury had a habit of providing enemies with the tools to take them down.

"Then we'll just go straight at them, like we did in the Divine Domain!"

Logan revealed his adamantium claws. They had taken on Divine Domain soldiers without trouble, so Hydra's grunts would be no issue.

Though Tony wasn't present, it didn't matter. Banner could transform into the Hulk at will, Steve's shield had been upgraded, and George was even stronger.

"Well said, but too bad I'm still a bit short of being able to lift Mjolnir. Otherwise, I could handle it all by myself."

Thor punched the wall with a hint of frustration.

Without his godly powers, he was of little help. After spending all his time reading at the school, his physical state had deteriorated.

"No need for that. Let me give them a thunderstrike, and we'll see if they can survive what's coming next."

George grinned and waved his hand. He drew his new wand and began reciting an ancient spell.

The last time in the Divine Domain, his ancient magic could only cover a small area. This time, with the new wand, the effect had been amplified over twentyfold, and the range of his magic increased by a similar factor.

It was more than enough to blanket all of Hydra's forces near the school with the strike of lightning.

"Storm's coming!"

Five minutes later, the entire area surrounding the school was cloaked in dark clouds, and countless bolts of furious lightning crackled within the clouds.

Nearby residents and Hydra soldiers looked up, bewildered by the sudden storm.

The weather forecast had never predicted rain today.
