"Everyone better stay still!"

Seeing that their cover was about to be blown, Garrett grabbed the handgun that Coulson had been holding just moments ago, immediately pressing it to Coulson's temple and taking him hostage.

His apprentice, Grant, reacted just as quickly. He seized the least threatening person, Jemma Simmons, and pressed a gun to her head as well.

"Let us leave. As long as we get out of here, we'll let them go."

If their memories were read, their true intentions would be revealed. Therefore, they had to act fast and take hostages before anyone could react. Their plan was to escape the school and meet up with the Winter Soldiers.

As for the third person, he was completely confused. He had been misled by Garrett's words and wasn't actually a Hydra spy.

"John, you bastard, so it was you who leaked the safe house location and caused Fury's death. You really deserve to die!"

At this point, Coulson had figured it out. The traitors were his most trusted old comrade John and his apprentice, Grant.

It was because they were so trusted that Coulson was now so angry.

"Coulson, you're still so naïve. I really don't understand how you ended up at my level.

I didn't want to betray you, but you know, during one mission, I was seriously injured and now have critical organ damage. I don't have much time left.

Yet that bastard Nick Fury refused to help me.

Hydra promised to enhance my body, to make me stronger and perfect. I did it to survive."

Garrett's expression was full of cold sarcasm. S.H.I.E.L.D. and Nick Fury had abandoned him, and that's why he chose to betray them. In his mind, he had done nothing wrong.

Coulson gritted his teeth, responding, "Fury said our technology wasn't advanced enough. If we rushed your enhancements, it would turn you into a madman.

He didn't abandon you; it's just not the right time yet. You shouldn't trust Hydra—they'll only use you, turning you into a mindless killing machine like those Winter Soldiers."

"It doesn't matter. I'm not that stupid. Hydra wants to use me? Fine. I'll use them too. I won't become a mindless killer; I'll become the perfect human being.

I'll become one of the leaders who will rule humanity in the future."

Garrett's face twisted with madness as he gestured for Grant to follow him toward the conference room door.

However, as they moved, they suddenly found their guns frozen in place, and then a mysterious force twisted them into mangled, useless scrap metal.

"Coulson, they don't know that besides my telepathic abilities, I can also control metal. Do they really think they can play with guns in front of me?" George spoke calmly.

"He only knows you can change the trajectory of bullets. He doesn't realize you can directly control guns—actually, I didn't know that either."

Seizing the opportunity while Garrett was stunned, Coulson elbowed Garrett in the stomach and smoothly performed a small series of martial arts moves, taking Garrett down.

His hand-to-hand combat skills weren't on the level of Black Widow or Hawkeye, but he was still skilled enough to incapacitate Garrett, whose organs were failing.

"Oh, I forgot to mention, my abilities have improved quite a lot recently."

George knew exactly what was happening. Previously, he could only control weights up to around 100 pounds, diverting bullets to curve them. He couldn't directly destroy someone's firearm.

But now, after further development and the enhancements from the Misaka clones, he could control weights up to 10 tons, making guns feel like toys in his hands.

"Kid, you think you can run? I'll play with you."

Grant, realizing the situation was turning bad, immediately gave up on Jemma and dashed toward the conference room door. He was stopped by Thor, who stood in his way.

"Get out of my way!"

Grant was one of the best hand-to-hand combat agents in S.H.I.E.L.D., on par with May. Normally, taking down ten agents would be a walk in the park for him.

But the Thor blocking his path wasn't just any ordinary person.

Even without his full divine powers restored, Thor's physical abilities and combat skills were unmatched. Someone like Grant stood no chance.

"This knife of yours is nowhere near as good as my brother's," Thor said, catching Grant's wrist holding the knife. With a swift motion, he threw Grant to the ground effortlessly.

"Binding spell, now!"

Thor raised his hand, throwing two ropes of magic that tied up Garrett and Grant. George began using his soul-reading spell in conjunction with telepathic scanning to examine their memories.

After a moment, he withdrew his hand, his expression changing slightly.

"The power of Hydra in this world is no joke. No wonder Nick Fury lost."

He saw information in Garrett and Grant's minds about Hydra that was far more powerful than what he had seen in movies and TV shows.

Perhaps it was due to the differences between universes, as many aspects varied.

In the movies, Hydra had many factions, each with its own leader. The Hydra created by the Red Skull during World War II was just one of these factions.

The true origins of Hydra dated back 1,400 years.

The Kree Empire, in its efforts to create powerful warriors for interstellar wars, conducted illegal modification experiments on many primitive planets, Earth being one of them.

By altering Earth's human population, they created the Inhumans—individuals with superpowers.

The first of these Inhumans, Hive, had the ability to control all other Inhumans. Leading a rebellion against the Kree, he and his followers drove them off Earth.

It just so happened that the Kree Empire terminated their illegal modification experiments at that point.

The remaining Inhumans on Earth, fearful of Hive's control over them, launched a second rebellion. Using the Kree's Black Stone portals, they exiled Hive to another planet in the universe.

A faction of humans who worshiped Hive then created the Hydra organization. Over generations, they used the Black Stone portal to send humans to Hive's new world, hoping to rescue him and return to Earth to rule.

However, the Hydra in this world seemed to be quite different.

There was no mention of Hydra's origin in the Inhumans in this version. Of course, it was possible that Garrett and Grant simply didn't know that much of the deeper secrets.

But George felt it was unlikely, because in Garrett's memories, there was indeed a "Hive" within Hydra, but it wasn't some ancient Inhuman. Instead, it was a Hydra agent who was suffering from a terminal illness.

This agent had been subjected to body modifications by Baron Strucker of Hydra, merging with a swarm of parasites to achieve a form of rebirth.

This world's Baron Strucker was also different from the one in the movies. Instead of using the Mind Stone to create Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, Strucker here was far more powerful—so much so that Captain America had no chance of easily taking him down.

In this world, Strucker was already strong in his own right.
