Marvelous Rebirth:Wish of A Hero

Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Clash of Titans

Scene One: The Weekend Revelation

Marshall sat at his desk, surrounded by scattered papers and an open laptop. It was a rare moment of quiet in the Phillips household, with his parents out running errands and Peter busy with his own weekend plans. The hum of the laptop's fan filled the room as Marshall sifted through ideas for his next project, the Omnitrix's faint green glow catching his eye every now and then.

He wasn't sure what to tackle first: refining his plans for the AI or testing the Omnitrix's other transformations. The sheer potential of the alien device was exhilarating—and overwhelming.

Marshall was about to dive into his notes when a breaking news alert popped up on his laptop screen. A shaky video feed of a chaotic city street filled the window, accompanied by the voice of a breathless reporter.

"This is live footage from Harlem, where two massive figures—one identified as the Hulk and the other as a previously unknown creature—are wreaking havoc. Authorities are urging residents to evacuate immediately."

Marshall froze, his eyes glued to the screen as the camera panned over the devastation. The Hulk's unmistakable green form traded blows with a monstrous opponent, their fight leaving a trail of destruction. Cars were crushed, buildings collapsed, and debris filled the air like a storm of chaos.

"Abomination," Marshall muttered under his breath, recognizing the creature from his knowledge of this universe. "This is the Harlem battle."

The camera focused on terrified civilians scrambling to escape, their screams audible even through the muffled audio. A woman clutched her child, narrowly avoiding a falling lamppost. Another man was pinned under rubble, calling out for help.

Marshall leaned back in his chair, his heart racing. He knew what was coming. This battle would end with the Hulk barely triumphing, but the collateral damage would be catastrophic.

His gaze shifted to the Omnitrix on his wrist, its green hourglass symbol glowing faintly. He clenched his fists. "I can't just sit here."

He quickly pulled on a hoodie to cover the Omnitrix and slipped out of the house. The streets of Brooklyn were quieter than usual, but Marshall's mind was anything but. He knew the risks of getting involved—exposing the Omnitrix, facing foes far stronger than him—but the thought of doing nothing ate at him.

Scene Two: Transformation and Arrival

In a secluded alleyway, Marshall activated the Omnitrix, scrolling through the alien silhouettes until he found the one he needed. His thumb hovered over the icon of a towering figure with sharp claws and an imposing presence.

"Gax," he muttered. "Let's see if you're ready for this."

He slammed the dial down, and in a flash of green light, his body transformed. His form grew massive, clad in black armor with sharp spikes protruding from his shoulders and knees. Six tentacles dangled from his face like serpents, and his red eyes gleamed with a predatory intensity. The Omnitrix symbol glowed prominently on his chest.

Marshall took a deep breath, adjusting to Gax's incredible strength and agility. His clawed feet dug into the pavement as he leapt into the air, each jump carrying him blocks at a time. The distant sounds of destruction grew louder with every leap, guiding him toward the epicenter of the chaos.

When he landed in Harlem, the scene was worse than he'd imagined. The Hulk and Abomination were locked in a brutal clash, their roars shaking the very ground. Abomination swung a wrecked car like a club, forcing the Hulk to dodge and retaliate with a thunderous punch.

Marshall surveyed the battlefield, his enhanced senses picking up the cries of trapped civilians. Smoke billowed from a burning building, its structure on the verge of collapse. A man waved frantically from a broken window, his voice barely audible over the chaos.

"Alright, time to multitask," Marshall muttered, sprinting toward the building.

Scene Three: Heroics Amidst Chaos

Marshall scaled the side of the building with ease, his claws digging into the crumbling facade. Inside, the smoke was thick, stinging his eyes and filling his lungs. He spotted the man in the window, his face pale and desperate.

"Hang on!" Marshall said, his voice deep and resonant in Gax's form.

The man hesitated for a moment, clearly startled by Marshall's appearance, but the fear of the fire won out. Marshall extended one of his tentacles, wrapping it gently around the man and pulling him to safety. He set the man down on the ground below, where emergency responders rushed to assist.

"You're safe now. Get out of here," Marshall said, already turning back toward the chaos.

He leapt to another part of the battlefield, this time spotting a mother and her two children trapped behind an overturned bus. Abomination's rampage had left the vehicle teetering dangerously close to collapse.

Marshall used his enhanced strength to steady the bus, his claws digging into the metal as he held it in place. "Go, now!" he shouted.

The family scrambled out, tears streaming down their faces as they thanked him. Marshall didn't wait for their gratitude—he had bigger problems to deal with.

Scene Four: Facing Abomination

As Marshall turned back to the fight, he saw the Hulk pinned under Abomination's massive foot. The green giant struggled, his growls of frustration echoing through the street. Abomination grinned wickedly, raising a makeshift weapon—a steel girder—to deliver a finishing blow.

"Not on my watch," Marshall growled.

He launched himself at Abomination with a burst of quadrupedal speed, slamming into the creature's side with enough force to knock him off balance. Abomination stumbled, releasing the Hulk and turning his attention to Marshall.

"What are you supposed to be?" Abomination sneered, his voice dripping with contempt.

"Your worst mistake," Marshall shot back.

Abomination roared, charging at him with reckless abandon. Marshall met him head-on, using his sharp claws to deflect a brutal swing. He countered with a devastating punch to Abomination's midsection, the impact sending a shockwave through the ground.

Abomination retaliated with a powerful swipe, but Marshall dodged with enhanced reflexes, leaping onto a nearby wall and clinging there like an insect. From his perch, he unleashed a blast of laser vision, the searing beams striking Abomination's shoulder and forcing him to retreat.

The Hulk rejoined the fight then, roaring as he tackled Abomination. The two titans clashed once more, their blows shaking the battlefield. Marshall took the opportunity to circle around, using his tentacles to grab debris and hurl it at Abomination, keeping him off balance.

Scene Five: The Final Stand

The fight reached its peak as Abomination grew more desperate, swinging wildly and causing even more destruction. Marshall and the Hulk worked in tandem, their attacks coordinated without the need for words.

Marshall used his shapeshifting arms to form a spiked battering ram, slamming it into Abomination's legs and knocking him to the ground. The Hulk seized the moment, delivering a series of devastating punches that left the creature dazed and immobile.

As SHIELD drones descended to secure Abomination, Marshall stepped back, his chest heaving. He exchanged a glance with the Hulk, who gave him a nod of respect before leaping away into the night.

Marshall looked around at the destruction, his heart heavy. He'd helped, but the cost was clear. This city needed more than heroes—it needed solutions.

Scene Six: The Quiet Walk Home

As dawn approached, Marshall reverted to his human form in a quiet alley. His body ached from the transformation, but his mind raced with thoughts of what came next. He'd seen the dangers of this world up close, and he knew he couldn't face them unprepared.

He slipped back into his room as the first rays of sunlight broke through the window. The Omnitrix's glow was faint but steady, a reminder of the responsibility he now carried.

"This is just the beginning," he murmured, sitting at his desk. "Time to get to work."

Scene Seven: SHIELD's Pursuit of the Unknown

The SHIELD Helicarrier hovered silently above Manhattan, its massive engines a low hum against the backdrop of the early morning sky. Inside, the command center was alive with activity. Monitors displayed the aftermath of the battle in Harlem: aerial footage of destruction, thermal scans of the combatants, and eyewitness testimonies streaming in from various feeds.

Nick Fury stood at the center of it all, arms crossed as he watched a slowed replay of the battle. The Hulk and Abomination were easily identifiable, but the third figure—a monstrous being clad in black armor with spikes and tentacles—was an enigma.

"Run it again," Fury ordered, his tone sharp.

Maria Hill tapped her tablet, and the footage looped back to the moment the unknown creature tackled Abomination. The screen zoomed in, capturing the strange, red-eyed figure unleashing laser vision and wielding tentacles with precise control.

"We've enhanced the footage as much as possible," Hill said, stepping closer. "No matches in any known databases. Whoever—or whatever—that was, it's new."

Fury's brow furrowed as he scrutinized the figure. "New doesn't sit well with me, Hill. Especially when it's capable of going toe-to-toe with something like Abomination."

An agent approached, holding a data pad. "Director Fury, we've run scans on the energy signature left at the scene. It's unlike anything we've encountered before. Closest comparison would be alien tech, but even that's a stretch."

Fury's gaze shifted to the agent. "Alien tech? You mean like Stark's theory about Asgardian leftovers or something else entirely?"

"Something else," the agent replied. "The energy pattern is unique. It's concentrated and controlled, but not like anything we've seen from extraterrestrial threats."

Hill interjected, her tone measured. "Could it be connected to the crash site we were investigating a few weeks ago? The energy readings from the droids we recovered had some similarities."

Fury considered this, his mind piecing together the puzzle. The crash site, the footprints leading away, and now this new creature—all of it was too coincidental. "If it's connected, then someone's playing in our backyard. And I don't like uninvited guests."

Hill nodded. "We've already dispatched teams to interview more witnesses from Harlem. But the descriptions are vague—most civilians are too shaken to recall anything specific about the third combatant."

Fury leaned over the console, his one good eye narrowing. "Keep digging. I want answers, Hill. Who it is, what they want, and whether they're a threat—or an asset."

Hill hesitated. "Do you really think this… creature could be an ally?"

Fury smirked, his tone dry. "Everyone's an ally until they're not. Find them before we're forced to make that call."

Scene Eight: Tracing the Tracks

Back at SHIELD headquarters, a smaller team worked in a more focused lab setting. The energy residue collected from the battlefield had been transported to their secure facility. Scientists and technicians analyzed fragments of melted concrete, broken glass, and other debris.

One screen displayed a simulated model of the energy signature, its vibrant green hue pulsing rhythmically. Dr. Shaw, one of SHIELD's leading energy analysts, frowned as she reviewed the data.

"Director," Shaw said through a comm link, her voice echoing in the Helicarrier's main room. "This energy—it's not just alien. It's adaptable. It shifts slightly depending on how it's used. The readings suggest this… thing wasn't operating at full capacity during the fight."

Fury frowned. "You're telling me it was holding back?"

"Possibly," Shaw replied. "Or maybe it was learning. The way it fought—it's as if it was testing its limits. And the energy signature aligns with certain biometrics, suggesting the creature isn't just using technology—it's bonded to it."

Fury exchanged a glance with Hill, his jaw tightening. "Bonded? Like a symbiotic relationship?"

"That's one way to put it," Shaw said. "But it's more advanced than anything we've seen. It's alive in some way. Whoever was controlling it—they weren't just piloting a machine. They were integrated with it."

Fury's mind raced as he processed the information. A living, learning, adaptable entity capable of matching the Hulk in combat. It was both fascinating and terrifying.

"Keep me updated," Fury said, his tone brooking no argument. "And find out if this thing has any connection to that crash site. If it's tied to those droids, we're looking at something much bigger than a one-off incident."

Scene Nine: Threads Begin to Connect

As the morning wore on, Fury returned to his office, his mind occupied with the implications of what SHIELD had uncovered. He pulled up the archived footage of the crash site investigation, overlaying it with the new data from Harlem. The patterns were subtle but undeniable—two events that, on the surface, seemed unrelated but shared the same mysterious energy signature.

Hill entered the office, a fresh report in hand. "Preliminary interviews from Harlem are in. Most witnesses focused on the Hulk and Abomination, but a few mentioned a 'spiky creature' with glowing red eyes. One described it as 'a demon'—which doesn't help us much."

Fury leaned back in his chair, his expression unreadable. "A demon, huh? People always go for the dramatics when they don't understand something."

Hill smirked faintly. "You'd know."

Fury ignored the jab, tapping his fingers on the desk. "The way I see it, we've got two priorities: figure out where this thing came from and what it's doing here. If it's an ally, we need to find a way to bring it in. If it's a threat… we neutralize it before it becomes a bigger problem."

Hill nodded. "We'll keep the teams on the Phillips and Parker families as a precaution. If this creature is connected to the crash site, there's a chance someone on the ground knows more than they're letting on."

Fury's gaze hardened. "Then it's time to turn up the heat. I don't care what it takes—find me that creature."

Scene Ten: The Calm Before the Storm

While SHIELD intensified its efforts, Marshall sat in his room, blissfully unaware of the scrutiny he was under. He stared at the Omnitrix on his wrist, replaying the battle in his mind. Every punch, every leap, every blast of laser vision—it had been exhilarating and terrifying in equal measure.

He leaned back in his chair, letting out a long sigh. "So much for staying under the radar."

The news coverage of the Harlem battle had painted him as an unknown hero, but Marshall knew better. The more attention he drew, the closer SHIELD would come to figuring out who he was. And if they connected the dots to the crash site, his secret would be out.

Still, he couldn't shake the feeling of pride that came with helping people. The look of gratitude on the faces of those he'd saved—it made the risk feel worth it.

"One thing at a time," he muttered, turning his attention back to the Omnitrix. "If SHIELD's coming, I need to be ready."

He scrolled through the alien silhouettes, each one representing a new possibility, a new tool for the battles ahead. The road was only going to get tougher, but Marshall was determined to face it head-on.
