Chapter 32: Chapter thirty-two.

~~~July 1942~~~
"This will send ripples throughout the universe, do you know that Mr. Jaesyrian?" Ancestral said to Azrael once the light of the Bifrost was lost in the vastness of space, leaving behind a battle scene in silence and expectation.
All the Asgardians had left, both the wounded and the corpses of the slain Berserkers, along with the body of the Destroyer. "I know, and Xandar will be ready to face these things, I hope Kamar Taj is too."
"You need not remember, Kamar Taj has been willing to protect the Earth for generations, and we will not cower now, once supreme forces protected the Earth and the Nine Realms, the Phoenix Force, Odin, and Agamotto, but two of them are gone, and now the third has just fled, such it seems that responsibility has fallen upon us mere mortals on the edge of death, so ironic."
Ancestral spoke in a slow and calm tone of voice as if the idea of being on the edge of external dangers from the galaxy once the news that Asgard's protection no longer extended to Earth was no longer a matter of concern. Even her face wore a soft smile.
"The world is at war, Earth is in no condition to face an intergalactic struggle, not now, not in fifty years, but Xandar is strong, determined and its people stronger still, and blood and victory move us," Azrael commented carefully and temperately, days of war in ancient Essos prepared him for this, and the villagers, which included the Witches, Evokers, along the Enderman. They lasted their entire lives in a constant struggle for survival in their ancient world, and the short years of peace that had invaded Xandar did not dent their temperance and power.
"Give this to the Wizards who are wounded, it will heal them in a matter of seconds," Azrael offered seven regeneration potions to Ancestral, willing to start from the instant to continue creating goodwill between the two, he saw that the Wizards of Kamar Taj were instrumental in the battle, and Ancestral's intervention was even more so.
"You are full of surprises", was Ancestral's comment, which made Azrael laugh, 'when we have another tea session, I will gladly show you more secrets', Azrael replied, winking at her. An act that only received an amused snort from Ancestral then opened a yellow portal and stepped inside.
"Watch what you're doing stud, I'm watching you," a voice brought Azrael out of his reverie, causing him to look to his right with a smile, seeing Valka on the spot, "what, you deny she's beautiful?"
"I don't deny it, but think hard about rolling around with someone other than your wives and you'll have your little friend missing for two months," Valka replied are a reverie, taking her sword and pointing it at Azrael's crotch, Azrael smiling fearlessly, "so I just have to marry her and be done?" he asked amused, getting a light smack with Valka's palm on the head. "Man you had to be, but yes, she's strong, and you know strong things spur me on."
Azrael smiled, releasing some of the stress he had held over the past few days, what with being in several emergency meetings a day, rebuilding or changing things due to the change in space, creating inlets on the coasts where there used to be land to keep the sea from swallowing part of the cities that were now coastal.
Re-establishing society after the abrupt and stormy change brought about by whatever it was that caused all of Xandar to be moved to another world and universe created dark circles in Azrael, and now, the issue that happened with Asgard magnified them, but luckily, Valka, Isabella and her people were there for him. And that was the important thing.
"The beacon of light is gone, what will it mean?" I asked the man who had trusted me, the one who went so far as to argue with a U.S. Army colonel for the sake of giving me the long-awaited opportunity to serve my country.
"I don't know exactly," Dr. Erskine answered me, looking out from the high balcony into the distance where the beacon of light had come into view. "But it's not a good thing, we both saw the explosions and the flashes, I'm just worried about what that might mean for our efforts here."
"Put your worries aside, I have something to show you" Mr. Stark entered the room in a hurry, wearing goggles and a leather apron.
"Remember they don't use electricity here?" he asked euphorically, and before Dr. Erskine or I could say anything, he continued; "they use a non-evil radioactive powder here, they call it Redstone, the powder looks like magic, and I'm not talking about the white powder, no."
"I'm talking about this beauty," he explained, showing a vial containing a reddish powder, "this, in contact with torches of the same material, or special buttons or levers, makes the powder ignite without trouble or danger of explosion, granting endless energy until the torch is removed."
I didn't understand much, but I understood that we were looking at something revolutionary, and from Mr. Stark's excited tone of voice, I knew he had done or discovered something good.
"And now we come to this point, the Vita ray machine for the operation of the rebirth process needs a considerable amount of energy, but I managed to make the machine work with Redstone, and the important thing about that, is that we will only need less than three kilos, isn't it fantastic?" He finished his explanation with a bright smile.
"That means the power problem is solved, all that's left is for the new serum the doctor is making to be finished," I commented, happy for the progress and the approach to ending this war.
"It's ready, we just need the king's approval to put the plan into action." The doctor's comment surprised us, I knew he was a genius, but to remodel his serum and add new assets in only a matter of two weeks spoke volumes about his ingenuity. "The... Witches made my job easy, they know a great deal about the components of their amplifying potions, I only had to append their active compounds to the serum, and bind them into a single compound."
"Then it is done, I will immediately contact someone to inform the king that everything is ready, as well as send a communiqué to the president, he will not want to miss the creation of the super soldier." Mr. Stark commented, then left, while I thought about what the future held for me, as well as the opportunities this would give me.
The now westernmost coastal city of Xandar was bustling with activity, the shores crowded with at least seventy massive ships.
The behemoths, measuring over a hundred meters long, thirty meters wide, and forty meters high, were the ships belonging to the Royal War Fleet, massive ships clad in Netherite steel, reinforced with enchantments that made them stronger, faster, and nearly indestructible by normal means.
With each passing second, thousands of men wearing medieval armor that glowed climbed aboard the ships, riding on armored horses that glowed just like their riders.
The preparations for the attack on the heart of Japan were made, and the Imperishable Fatwas would be mobilized in full force, previously, the Horde, composed of ten legions of twenty thousand warriors each, had been adding warriors to their ranks after extensive training.
The Dothraki legions acted as sects, each led by a Ko and his Khaleesi. They enjoyed privileges within Xandar as a whole, were revered as highborn warriors, and each Dothraki ruling family belonged to the Xandarian nobility.
So much was their resemblance to a sect, that each legion enjoyed its district within Vaes Dothrak, the city that had been abandoned due to the mobilization of the hordes to Xandar. It was then destroyed and rebuilt directly in the Mother of Mountains.
And it was the Ko along with the Dosh Khaleen, women who had a vital role in Xandar, being the representatives of the Faith of the Stallion that Mounts the World in all of Xandar. Therefore, they enjoyed enormous power in the kingdom. They were the ones who constituted the council of Vaes Dothrak, controlling all sectors in the city.
Due to the Dothraki culture inherent in Xandar, and the fact that Azrael was the Khal, the Horde was growing every day, and now, the Imperishable Horde was composed of at least two million troops.
With each prepared for a journey to another nation in this new world, to leave in flames and ashes a nation that deigned to attack their home, their nation. And they would gladly give blood and death to the enemies of Xandar.
