~~~Qarth Military Base, Xandar~~~
~~~Azrael Jaesyrian~~~

~~~June 1942~~~
Once the American group left the room, Isabella was the first to face me, "is this necessary, Azrael?" She asked, with a frown marring her face, "They are at war, those documents they handed us speak of the amount of killing and war they have gone through, I see no point in engaging with them, especially with their familiarity with finding trouble."
She was reluctant in favor of creating ties with the United States, and I didn't argue with that, I also had certain nuances in not wanting to have anything to do with them, especially with their apprehension in wanting to intervene in foreign conflicts to help, but only as a ploy to gain their benefits, things that were seen a lot in my old world as were the cases of Panama, South Korea, Australia, with Argentina and even with England.
But just as I knew that we would become a target because almost no one knew of our war power, since for those superpower countries we were easy prey, I also knew that Xandar could not survive alone. And not because of something absurd like that, we would be left without market and internal monetary value for not having contact and trade with other nations.
If not because at this time the world was in a time of brutal technological advances, both in transportation, communications, daily life, and armament, it was those technological advances that would cause Xandar to be left behind, because sooner or later it would happen, and unless all Xandarians suddenly became Einsteins overnight, reaching the level of technological advancement would be a complete fantasy.
That's why I let the Americans come to Xandar in the first place, that's why I encouraged trade and social and commercial ties, to get those technologies that would make Xandar reach new heights.
And now, in the middle of the 20th century, I knew that an army of five thousand Dothraki with enchanted armor and potions that made them faster, stronger, and better in every sense of the word would make conquering a major city or even a small country no problem, but in the future where there are nuclear weapons, hydrogen bombs, cluster bombs, bombing.
If even in the year 2026, many advanced countries had problems stopping strategic bombings even if they had the technology to know of the attack, then what would become of Xandar which did not even have an instant long-range communication system, being with the help of parrots under the effects of speed potions the method used at this time.
"It is necessary, Xandar has a strong and united war system, but those countries outside our borders also have them, they have different and equally dangerous weapons, we must be in contact with them, learn from their technology, and use it against themselves, I know it's not the most pleasant idea, on Xandar we enjoy a system of complete non-acceptance of foreigners, something that has worked for us for all the years since the founding of Xandar that Second Moon of 276," I explained to Isabella, who was softening her frown as I explained my reasons.
"But it's time to soften those measures, I'm not saying we'll let anyone in, but we need to be more open on those issues, we must connect more with those powerful people, get the most benefit that Xandar can gain, and thus remain what Xandar has always been, the most powerful nation in the world." I finished my little speech by slamming my fist on the armrest of the throne I was sitting on, noticing how it dented.
"Azrael is right, Isa," Valka took the opportunity to support me, resting her hand on my left arm and looking over me to Isabella, "We know nothing of what lies outside our realm, we must first learn all we can so we can show concrete and direct reactions to whatever comes, without allowing Xandar to suffer for it."
In the end, Isabella sighed, understanding that it was necessary, "Very well, that will be done, but once we open formal relations with that country, what will follow?"
"Grow," I said, with a cutting tone, "grow like weeds, strong, healthy, and wither the plants around her if it means that she as a weed can live."
"Then we must get to work, the witches will serve as informants abroad, only the problem will ratify in how they will send information from their assigned locations, another thing is that the construction of warships and potion-making will multiply, we already know that some of their ships and weapons cannot destroy enchantments, so that would be our first line of protection and attack", Valka began to think about the war efforts, naming the things we would have to focus on quickly.
"It will also be necessary to give the green light to the smiting guilds in Xandar, Goldenfield, and Esaria to begin the creation of more weaponry, as well as more armor, and weapons for the troops," Isabella said, just in time to not be interrupted as five men entered the room.
The men wore all-black garments, along with cloaks of the same color, quite possibly they could pass for members of the Night's Watch.
Both Valka and Isabella tensed and frowned, as they recognized the men, for these men belonged to the quick reaction group, which consisted of bringing information that could not be given to a parrot, to be delivered as quickly as possible, which could mean that another nation had made contact with Xandar or in the most extreme case, that the kingdom was under attack.
The leader of the group quickly approached us, bearing a fierce look, "my Emperor, Empresses," he greeted each of the three of us, "I have news from Tharlan, a massive fleet is sailing towards the city, they are over fifteen huge ships like the ones that attacked three days ago, they are known to be arriving in the city very soon, plus they are carrying the same flags that the previous ships that were destroyed were flying."
Shit, quite possibly the Japanese had contacted their Empire, and while that was a very likely thing to happen, I didn't think it would happen so soon, and only three days later. "How many warships are currently on Tharlan?"
"There are forty, Emperor," the man replied, "plus there are currently fifteen Guardians on Tharlan's seas, along with a total of thirty wyverns."
Well, at least with the ships and the Guardians the Japanese fleet would be no problem, but quite possibly we could face an air attack, and the amount of wyverns would not be enough to stop them all before they reached Tharlan and manage to affect it in any way.
"The fleets stationed in Yarrin will be transferred to Tharlan for possible sea combat, plus I will mobilize the Dark Wave for further support, along with sending two Wither in case they are needed, for the time being, have the civilians take shelter, and have every soldier stationed in the city prepare for combat," I instructed the man, charging him to travel back to Tharlan and thanking him for his labors.
"I will order Morghul and Brighfire to prepare," I told Valka and Isabella, preparing to go to Tharlan as soon as possible.
"Essino," I called to one of my brothers, who turned to see me, "tell the foreign envoys to prepare and board their plane, they will soon travel to another city to witness the power that Xandar has to offer."
After that, I walked along with my wives and my brothers to the place where our dragons were, a huge field, they could easily fit two soccer fields in the place. "Can we do rampages yet?" Endoxes asked as we approached.
Endoxes had grown a lot, but his imprisonment in the End had caused his growth to atrophy, causing that even after having thousands of years of life, he did not exceed forty meters (in length), fortunately, these four years after leaving the End had caused enormous changes in him, his body had grown exponentially, so much so that we had to be careful when flying over some cities for fear of blowing people away due to his wings.
Not only that, but his scales had hardened even more, his body had become stronger and his breath more destructive, as for Morghul and Brighfire. Both dragons hatched from the four eggs found in ancient Vaes Tolorro, they were beautiful dragons in their own right, very similar in personality to their riders.
Morghul, Valka's dragon, had ashen-bluish colored scenery, no horns, and her head rather resembled that of a snake, and like Valka, she was a dragon with an aggressive, temperamental, and fierce attitude.
On the other hand, Brighfire was different, with her golden and silver scales, along with a huge resemblance to Rhaegar, Daenerys' dragon, she was a friendly girl most of the time, playful and to some extent, even teasing. However, she was not to be underestimated, something that was apparent when she along with Isabella burned the pirate fleet off the shores of Silver Port.
"Alright, quick, we have to get to Tharlan before the action starts, I don't want to miss anything," I said to both of them, who nodded and started climbing the ropes that helped the riders climb onto the backs of their mounts. Once I saw that they were both now ready, I levitated up to Endoxes' back, commanding him to fly.
"ROOOOOOARRG!"
Endoxes, as always, had to make a show of his narcissism in always being the center of attention, then propel himself up and take flight, with Morghul and Brighfire following close behind.
