Chapter 37: Ch.36: Saving Jews & Tesseract

New Delhi, Bharat, December 1, 1942
Aryan sat in his office, the soft glow of the evening sun casting long shadows across the room. The chaos of the past months had finally subsided, and a sense of normalcy had returned to the city. The land reforms were progressing smoothly, bringing much-needed relief to the farmers and laborers.
Aryan leaned back in his chair, reviewing the latest reports. The implementation of the land reforms had been a significant success. Corrupt officials and zamindars had been dealt with, and the redistribution of land was being carried out fairly. The people, once skeptical, now saw the tangible benefits of the reforms. Fields that had lain fallow for years were now green with crops, and the rural economy was beginning to thrive.
The infrastructure projects were equally impressive. New roads and railways were being constructed, connecting remote villages to major cities. This not only facilitated the movement of goods and people but also brought economic opportunities to previously isolated areas. The development of ports and logistics hubs was enhancing trade, both within Bharat and with other nations.
Aryan then activated his skill, and the holographic figure of Athena appeared before him as he asked her, "Athena, what's the status of our ongoing research projects?"
Athena's holographic form shimmered as she responded, "Aryan, the research on the runic processors is complete. We can now proceed to build arcane computers. Additionally, the magical ley line network research has also been completed. We can start laying out the network, adjusting it to integrate with the current communication infrastructure. This will create a truly secure communication network for the entire country, with an even more secure line for government use."
Aryan nodded, satisfied with the progress. "What about the research on alchemical potions based on the super soldier serum and the healing potions?"
Athena replied, "These projects are in their final phase of testing. They will require human trials to ensure their efficacy and safety."
Aryan leaned forward, his eyes meeting Athena's holographic gaze. "Don't worry about the human trials, Athena. I'll prepare the subjects myself. Continue with the work on the arcane computers and the ley line network."
As Athena acknowledged his instructions, Aryan's thoughts drifted to the recent chaos. The security forces had captured numerous irredeemable criminals—murderers, rapists, and terrorists—who had tried to exploit the turmoil. These individuals, he mused, could serve as subjects for the human trials of the alchemical potions.
His mind then turned to a more pressing mission. The time had come to save the Jews from the Nazis. Aryan envisioned himself in superhero mode, rescuing the oppressed and earning global fame and acceptance as a hero. Bharat's selective involvement in the war, aiding the Allies, also provided a strategic advantage in this, as the Jews would have a better image of him and subsequently of Bharat. Aryan wanted to bring in some of the talents who could help in the development of the country.
Aryan also planned to capture some of the Nazis tormenting the Jews, using them as test subjects for the human trials. Additionally, he had his sights set on a Hydra base. There, he intended to seize the Tesseract and replace it with a duplicate crafted with his powers, furthering his nation's technological edge.
Berlin, Germany, December 10, 1942
Aryan stood on the rooftop of a nondescript building, the cold winter air biting at his face. Below, the city was a maze of shadows and secrets. He had arrived in Berlin under the cover of night, his mission clear: rescue the Jews and dismantle Hydra's operations.
He activated his communicator. "Shadow soldiers, report."
One by one, his elite team of shadow soldiers, trained in stealth and combat, confirmed their positions around the city. They had been gathering intelligence on Hydra's movements and the locations of their bases.
"Master, we've located a transport convoy heading to a concentration camp," one of his soldiers reported. "It's heavily guarded."
Aryan's jaw tightened. "Intercept the convoy. Free the prisoners and bring them to the safe house."
As his soldiers moved to execute the plan, Aryan's thoughts turned to the Hydra bases. He knew that Red Skull, the elusive leader of Hydra, was likely in possession of the Tesseract. Finding him was crucial.
Hydra Base, Outskirts of Berlin
Aryan infiltrated the base with ease, his powers allowing him to move unseen. The base was a labyrinth of corridors and laboratories, filled with Hydra scientists and soldiers. He moved swiftly, disabling guards with ease.
In the central lab, he found what he was looking for: documents detailing Red Skull's experiments with the Tesseract. He scanned the papers quickly, memorizing the information.
"Master, we've secured the convoy," his communicator crackled. "The prisoners are safe."
"Good work," Aryan replied. "I'm setting the charges now. Prepare for extraction."
As he reached the surface, he flew to the sky and formed a miniature black hole in his hands and threw it towards the base. The base disappeared into the night, leaving no traces behind as Aryan teleported away.
Safe House, Berlin
Aryan arrived at the safe house, where the rescued Jews were being tended to by his team. He saw the relief and gratitude in their eyes, and it strengthened his resolve.
"We'll get you to safety," he assured them. "You have my word."
As he prepared for the next phase of his mission, Aryan knew that the fight was far from over. Red Skull was still out there, and the Tesseract was within reach. But for now, he had given hope to those who had none, and that was a victory in itself.
Berlin, Germany, December 15, 1942
Aryan stood in the shadows, his eyes scanning the bustling streets below. His shadow soldiers had been working tirelessly, gathering intelligence on Red Skull's whereabouts. The information they had pieced together pointed to a heavily fortified Hydra base on the outskirts of the city.
"Shadow soldiers, report," Aryan whispered into his communicator.
"Master, we have confirmed Red Skull's location," one of his soldiers replied. "He is in the central command room of the Hydra base. The Tesseract is with him."
Aryan smiled and commanded, "Maintain your positions. I'm going in."
Hydra Base, Outskirts of Berlin
Aryan moved with the stealth of a shadow, slipping past guards and security systems. His powers allowed him to blend seamlessly into the darkness, making him virtually invisible. He navigated the labyrinthine corridors with ease, his mind focused on the mission.
Reaching the central command room, Aryan peered through a small window. Inside, Red Skull stood before a pedestal, the Tesseract glowing ominously in its casing. Aryan's eyes narrowed. He had to act swiftly and silently.
Using his powers, Aryan phased through the wall, entering the room without a sound. Red Skull was engrossed in his work, oblivious to the intruder. Aryan approached the pedestal, nonchalantly using his powers to remain undetectable. With a deft movement, he replaced the Tesseract with the duplicate he had crafted. The duplicate was nearly identical, save for the absence of the Infinity Stone.
As Aryan completed the switch, he heard footsteps approaching. He melted back into the shadows, watching as Red Skull turned to inspect the Tesseract. Satisfied, Red Skull resumed his work, unaware of the deception.
Safe House, Berlin
Aryan arrived at the safe house by teleportation. His shadow soldiers were already there, waiting for him. He held up the Tesseract, its blue glow illuminating the room.
"We have it," he said, a triumphant smile spreading across his face. "The Tesseract."
"This will open new avenues for us," he said, thinking about the various research opportunities presented by the Infinity Stone.
