Marvel: My Luck Is A Hundred Million Points Better!

Chapter 82: Chapter 82 Father! I Am Your Son!

When Odin foresaw that Luo Bai would play a crucial role in Ragnarok, he realized that he had underestimated both the Ancient One's judgment and the newly appointed Supreme Sorcerer. This left him with no choice but to negotiate with Luo Bai personally.

Although Odin and the Ancient One had previously maintained a mutually beneficial relationship, the old generation was now fading, and the nature of their successors' relationship remained uncertain.

Odin also understood that Thor's brash and impulsive nature would make discussing cooperation nearly impossible, so he had to handle this matter himself.

Now that Luo Bai understood why Odin had summoned him, he knew how to respond.

After all, Odin was right—Kamar-Taj and Asgard were allies, not enemies.

And their common enemy... was an extraterrestrial god.

With this in mind, Luo Bai gave his answer.

"All-Father, you need not worry about this matter. Earth does need Asgard."

His meaning was clear.

The relationship between Asgard and Kamar-Taj would remain unchanged.

As the Sorcerer Supreme, he had no intention of initiating any conflicts.

Odin was clearly pleased with this response.

Just as he was about to speak again, Thor suddenly burst into the room.

"Luo Bai!" Thor bellowed as he entered.

Before Odin could even react—

Thor ignored his father entirely and stormed up to Luo Bai, demanding loudly, "Tell me! How did you lift my hammer?!"

"..."

Luo Bai felt a headache coming on.

This guy is still fixated on that?

It was obvious that Thor truly cared about the matter.

"I have no idea. Maybe I was just lucky," Luo Bai replied helplessly.

"Impossible! No one can lift Mjolnir except me!" Thor shouted, visibly frustrated.

He had always prided himself on being the only one worthy of wielding Mjolnir.

Now, out of nowhere, Luo Bai had come along and lifted his hammer.

It was driving him crazy.

"The fact that you lifted my hammer means you must be strong. Come, fight me! Show me your power!" Thor declared.

Having his hammer taken from him was embarrassing enough.

But what made it worse was that Luo Bai was the one who had stolen it in the first place.

Thor couldn't let this go—he needed to prove himself.

But just as he was about to act, Odin's voice thundered through the hall.

"THOR!!!"

Thor froze.

Then, turning to his father with frustration, he blurted out, "Father! This wizard stole my hammer!"

Odin: "???"

What?

Stole his hammer?!

Odin was utterly confused.

Before he could even ask, Thor continued, "Father, when I was in Asgard, someone used magic to take Mjolnir away! It was a Kamar-Taj sorcerer! I just asked Luo Bai, and he admitted it was him! Father, this wizard is provoking Asgard!"

Odin frowned as the memory resurfaced.

Indeed, he recalled Thor making a fuss about Kamar-Taj some time ago.

At the time, Odin had found it odd that Thor had somehow managed to offend a Kamar-Taj sorcerer.

He had scolded Thor briefly and thought nothing more of it—only for Thor to still be holding onto the grudge now.

As Odin was lost in thought, Luo Bai finally spoke up.

"It's true that such an incident happened. But it was entirely accidental."

Before Luo Bai could elaborate, Odin interrupted.

"Supreme Sorcerer, there is no need to explain further."

Then, turning back to Thor, his expression hardened.

"Thor, you are the God of Thunder, and yet you cannot even keep hold of your own weapon?!" Odin roared.

"???"

Thor was completely stunned.

Wait... why am I the one being blamed here?!

"Father, it was his magic—" Thor began.

But before he could finish, Odin cut him off.

"Are you seriously making excuses for your own incompetence?! You should be ashamed of yourself!"

"Father, I—"

Thor still wanted to defend himself, but Odin's next words crushed any hope of that.

"Thor," Odin said with disappointment. "I think you need more experience."

"???"

Thor was left utterly bewildered.

At this moment, Odin was speechless.

He had just successfully negotiated for Asgard and Kamar-Taj to continue their peaceful coexistence.

If Thor ruined their relationship over a hammer, Odin would be furious.

With this in mind, Odin immediately turned to Luo Bai and said, "Thor's temperament is as fearless as mine was in my youth.

But such impulsiveness will inevitably lead to mistakes in the future.

Gungnir is not just a weapon—it is a symbol of my authority.

If he ever makes a mistake, you may use Gungnir in my stead to discipline him."

Luo Bai was stunned.

Was Odin... entrusting his son to him?

Although Thor's current strength was nowhere near enough to defeat Luo Bai, he was still Odin's son. Luo Bai had to give him the respect he deserved.

"It's not about discipline, but a friendly exchange is always possible," Luo Bai said.

The next second, Thor asked in confusion, "What do you mean, Gungnir?"

Odin took a deep breath and replied, "I have given Gungnir to Luo Bai."

"What?"

Thor was utterly dumbfounded.

Gungnir was his father's exclusive weapon and the symbol of the All-Father.

And now... his father had given Gungnir to... Luo Bai?!

Thor stood frozen, staring at Odin in disbelief.

After a long silence, he finally spoke, his voice slow and filled with confusion.

"Father... I am your son."

"......"

Odin's face darkened.

Of course, he couldn't admit that Gungnir had run off with Luo Bai on its own.

That would be too humiliating. He had no choice but to insist it was a gift.

But now, hearing Thor say that, Odin's expression turned even uglier.

Taking a deep breath, he spoke with a serious face.

"It is precisely because you are my son that you must grow stronger as quickly as possible.

As you are now, I do not believe you are worthy of being the King of Asgard.

You need more experience.

That is why I have entrusted the Supreme Sorcerer to guide you.

And should you make any mistakes, the Supreme Sorcerer—who now wields Gungnir—has the authority to punish you on my behalf."

Thor: "?????"

He turned to Luo Bai in disbelief.

Before Luo Bai could respond, Odin continued, "Supreme Sorcerer, show him Gungnir."

Luo Bai thought for a moment, then used magic to summon Gungnir.

The moment Thor saw Luo Bai actually produce Gungnir... his expression was priceless.

It's over.

Not only could he not defeat Luo Bai, but now he might even have to use honorifics when speaking to him.

Thor couldn't comprehend what had just happened.

"Father, why?!" he demanded. "He's just an Earth sorcerer! What's so special about the Supreme Sorcerer?"

But Odin ignored him.

Instead, he turned to Luo Bai and said, "Supreme Sorcerer, I hope our conversation today influences your future stance toward Asgard. Thor still has much to learn."

At this moment, Odin was no longer speaking as the All-Father.

He was speaking as a father—a father trying to pave the way for his son.

His sincerity was evident, and Luo Bai responded in kind.

"Asgard and Kamar-Taj will always be allies," Luo Bai promised, "so long as Asgard does not break its word."

With that, their negotiation came to an end.

Luo Bai left the great hall.

Thor followed, still dazed.

Once they had walked a fair distance, Thor finally snapped out of his thoughts and asked, "Luo Bai, what exactly did you talk about with my father?"

"Not much," Luo Bai said with a sigh. "But your father cares for you deeply."

"Of course, I know that! My father has always loved me!" Thor said, then hesitated before asking, "But I still don't understand why he gave you Gungnir."

"Didn't he say? He wants me to educate you on his behalf," Luo Bai replied with a teasing smile.

Thor fell silent.

Then, after a long pause, he suddenly asked, "Did my father give you anything else?"

Luo Bai frowned slightly. "What do you mean?"

The moment he finished speaking, Thor's expression turned deadly serious.

"He didn't... give you the inheritance of Asgard, did he?"

Luo Bai: "I... TM..."
