Chapter 258: The Power of the Gods

Countless dark auras spread out, rendering all other forces powerless against this terrifying energy. In an instant, it seemed to fill the entire universe. The Judge, witnessing this scene, was visibly shocked, as if the laws of the universe couldn't withstand this power.

Crackling sounds interwove as the Judge continuously retreated, hoping for a chance to escape. If things continued this way, even if he wasn't swallowed by the dark aura, the dark spears would pierce him like a piece of rotting flesh pinned in the void.

However, despite his retreat, the Judge found no escape. At that moment, a vast golden shield appeared in front of him, enveloping him. This shield was identical to the one the Eradicator had used before, clearly a last-resort measure to protect oneself.

"Didn't expect each of you to have something like this to protect your lives!" Wang Yang remarked, raising an eyebrow.

The Judge's face turned grim. If it weren't necessary, he wouldn't have used this power. "Earth sorcerer, this is the protection of a god, something you can never obtain!" the Judge declared.

Wang Yang, uninterested in further conversation, continued to press the dark aura towards the Judge. It couldn't get closer as the dark mist approached the golden shield. However, countless dark spears within the fog descended upon the golden shield, producing a harsh sound before shattering and merging into the surrounding dark aura.

As a Judge, his strength exceeded the Eradicator's, making his golden shield thicker and more robust. These dark spears quickly pierced the Eradicator's shield and couldn't break through the Judge's. Even the dark mist couldn't corrode his golden shield.

"Earth sorcerer, your power is indeed strong, but you can't break this shield. You're wasting your time," the Judge said.

Wang Yang merely glanced at him. If he could deal with the Eradicator, he could certainly deal with the Judge. His comrades were in another space, yet the Judge dared to boast.

"Ding, Godly Shield talent detected. Would you like to fuse?" The system recognized the power of this godly shield, unlike the Eradicator's.

"Fuse!" Wang Yang chose to fuse without hesitation. He was familiar with the system's talent fusion, which enhanced destructive and reinforcing capabilities. As the fusion was completed, Wang Yang understood the godly shield better, including its vulnerabilities.

Raising his hand, he summoned a massive black spear from the endless dark aura. This spear was inscribed with strange runes similar to those on the Judge's shield. The intricate patterns made it seem like an artwork rather than a weapon. Despite creating it, Wang Yang felt a sense of foreboding from the spear.

"Give up, it's useless!" the Judge's voice rang out.

The Judge sensed the terrifying danger within his golden shield but remained confident in his shield. Wang Yang, however, ignored him, launching the black spear with a graceful arc.

Like a thunderbolt, the spear seemed to collapse the universe as it tore through time and space, striking the godly shield. With a sound like a popping bubble, the shield shattered upon contact with the spear.

The Judge's expression changed dramatically. How could this spear, similar to the previous ones, suddenly become so powerful? The Living Tribunal granted this shield and shouldn't break so easily.

Undeterred by the Judge's shock, the black spear continued towards him. It pierced through his once-impenetrable armor like paper, embedding itself in the Judge. The dark aura spread, corroding even the armor of the Celestial Order members.

Dark patterns spread over his body, appearing strangely beautiful despite their lethal nature. For the Judge, this was a harrowing experience as he felt his body grow cold, life ebbing away.

From the darkness emerged Wang Yang, appearing small yet terrifying to the Judge. This dark power, recognized as Chthon's, was formidable. Could Wang Yang be an apostle of Chthon, or had he absorbed a god's power?

The Judge, desperate, gathered his remaining strength, his body weakening under the dark power. As the Judge seemed close to death, Wang Yang noticed something odd. Could the leader of the Celestial Order die so quickly?

Raising his hand, Wang Yang conjured another black spear, its power identical to the first. He launched it without hesitation, aiming for the Judge's head.

Yet, as the spear approached, it halted mid-air, just a step from the Judge. Wang Yang realized a powerful mental force held it. "Explode!" he commanded, causing the spear to erupt dispersing the Judge's mental hold.

Though battered, the Judge's darkened body began to recover, his power growing stronger, exuding a divine aura. The transformation took aback Wang Yang.
