Marvel : I Was Captured By TVA As Soon As I Transmigrated

Chapter 29: Chapter 28

Night.

The little wolf girl was curled up in Russell's arms, fast asleep.

Russell, however, lay wide awake, his mind racing with thoughts of what to do next.

The computing components had been assembled and connected, significantly shortening the time required to crack the Time Tablet. What would have taken three years now required just a month.

That was good news. It meant he wouldn't need to risk another trip to the black market.

But once the Time Tablet was unlocked, there was a new problem—he couldn't take Laura with him across the timeline.

It wasn't just unpredictable; it was inconvenient and dangerous.

Leaving her here wasn't ideal either. The Void was far from safe.

While Cassandra had fled in apparent defeat, reduced to nothing but her mental essence, Russell understood the reality of her power. Minds like hers could easily find and occupy a new body, fully regenerating without the need for rest or recovery.

Next time, there might not be a Khonsu around to intervene.

Relying on luck alone was a fool's game. He had to make a move, and soon.

Russell's thoughts drifted to a ruined city far from Cassandra's territory. It was a perfect hideout—remote, isolated, and on the opposite side of the Void from her organization.

More importantly, it was home to a group of eccentric Lokis. Their Asgardian Phantom Magic was exactly what he needed to enhance his timeline travels.

Step one, move to the ruined city.

Step two, secure the magic.

After that, he could decide where to go in the timeline.

Suddenly, a BOOM shook the ground.

The house trembled, loose dirt falling from the ceiling.

"An earthquake? Here in the Void?" Russell muttered, confused but alert.

He instinctively grabbed the now-awake little wolf girl and dashed outside in seconds.

Both froze in shock.

In the distance, a golden energy pillar pierced the dark sky, illuminating the entire Void. The sheer destructive force radiating from it was palpable, even from miles away.

"That's… the direction of the black market?" Laura whispered, her voice trembling.

Russell's face darkened.

Revenge?

No, Cassandra alone couldn't wield such power. That left only one possibility: the TVA.

They were the only ones capable of controlling the timeline and unleashing attacks of such magnitude.

A booming voice echoed across the Void, malicious and triumphant:

"Foolish survivors!"

"Did you think my appearance was a coincidence? You've been played!"

The voice laughed, chilling and full of scorn.

"When I was pruned, I discovered this loophole—here, I can harvest souls freely without creating time branches!"

"And now, thanks to all your positive and negative energy, I will ascend! Today, I surpass the Father and become a god in this place!"

A faint green glow appeared, gradually coalescing into a massive pyramid, its structure made entirely of shimmering soul energy.

Russell watched as the green glow darkened into gold, the pyramid becoming increasingly solid and terrifying.

The energy pillar in the sky thinned and vanished, replaced by a flash of blood-red lightning.

From the sky descended Elrios, the monstrous time beast, roaring no longer but diving straight into the pyramid with deadly purpose.

BOOM!

The Void shook again as Elrios collided with the pyramid, exploding in a burst of red lightning that cascaded like a waterfall over the structure. The lightning hissed and crackled, corroding the golden pyramid as it spread.

"Dream on!"

Khonsu's voice roared across the sky, filled with divine wrath.

"Power-Sun!"

The dark Void turned to day as a blazing sun materialized overhead, radiating intense light that burned through the red lightning.

The tide seemed to turn.

But Russell wasn't convinced. He'd seen too many twists to believe victory was so easily achieved.

His suspicions were confirmed when a series of glowing TVA portals opened above the battlefield.

From the portals flowed no time guards or mechanical puppets. Instead, a viscous orange-gold liquid poured down in streams, landing first on Khonsu's sun.

The sun dimmed immediately, golden cracks spreading across its surface. Russell recognized the pattern—it was the same as the fractures he'd seen in the castle at the end of time.

As the sun darkened, the Void was plunged back into night. The once-blazing sphere turned solid and fell to the ground with a deafening crash.

Golden wedge-shaped runes appeared in the air, arranging themselves into a colossal magic circle. Fake stars shimmered above, and pale moonlight streamed down, illuminating the orange-gold liquid.

But the moonlight had no purifying effect. Instead, it became corrupted, turning the same orange-gold color before solidifying and shattering into fragments that fell to the ground.

Russell observed the shards closely. They were lined with golden patterns—designed to seal energy, objects, perhaps even time itself.

Khonsu's voice echoed again, no longer arrogant but furious:

"This is impossible!"

"How can there be so much negative time energy? Is this why you bind all timelines?!"

"Despicable time thieves!"

A spectral scale appeared in the sky, its balance tipping wildly as part of the golden pyramid collapsed onto one side.

In response, the entire Void tilted unnaturally, and a swirling vortex opened—a Gate to the Afterlife.

Khonsu's figure emerged, his tone heavy with finality:

"To the one who remains, I curse you to perish in time!"

With that, he dove into the vortex, disappearing as the gate closed behind him.

The remnants of the sun on the ground cracked open, leaving behind a core no larger than an eyeball.

In the next instant, the core erupted, flooding the Void with blinding light.

When the light faded, the sky was dark once more. The portals, the liquid, the pyramid fragments—everything was gone, as if nothing had ever happened.

Russell stared at the sky, deep in thought.

This "history" didn't appear in Deadpool 3 or Loki. Had it been covered up? Or had something changed?

And why did this "Moon God" seem to know so much?

He sighed.

This was Marvel—a universe of endless uncertainties. Following the plotlines was a surefire way to an early grave.

More than ever, Russell felt the urgency to grow stronger.

He decided to leave for the ruined city immediately, no more waiting.

But just as he turned to move, something strange happened.

Tiny green particles appeared in his vision, swirling and gathering toward him like moths to a flame.
