Marvel: I Started by Containing SCPs

Chapter 246: Chapter 246

"Doesn't matter to me. If you think you can see it, give it a try," Luffy said nonchalantly.

"You better not regret those words!"

Kid was visibly irritated by Luffy's carefree attitude. "In that case, let's form a temporary alliance. Until we leave Skull Island, no one is allowed to harm each other. Otherwise, you'll die here."

Law addressed everyone one last time, emphasizing the gravity of their cooperation to escape Skull Island. No one took it lightly, understanding the stakes involved.

Thus, the Straw Hat Pirates, Heart Pirates, and Kid Pirates officially formed an alliance, working together to leave Skull Island.

While the three leaders established their alliance, the screen, a few minutes earlier, had already announced the next SCP.

"The next containment objects are two individuals, rumored to be the demigod brothers Cain and Abel."

Strange was stunned. "What?! Cain and Abel? Aren't they figures from the Bible, among the first humans? How are they containment objects?"

Naruto was confused. "The Bible? The first humans? What's that?"

Tony Stark explained, "In our world, there's a myth about the ancestors of all humans, a man and a woman from ancient times named Adam and Eve. They were creations of the gods, originally tasked with guarding the divine orchard. But they were banished for eating forbidden fruit. They then had children, Cain and Abel, said to be the first humans born on Earth—essentially the ancestors of humanity."

"Of course," Stark added, "it's just a myth. There's no telling if it's true."

Odin scoffed. "In our universe's Earth, nothing like that ever happened."

Natasha quipped, "Why bother overthinking it? Aren't we in a universe where myths are often true?"

Rogers joined in. "Right. Hey, Sisyphus, is the myth of Adam and Eve true?"

Sisyphus pondered. "Well, it's so ancient that it's impossible to verify. Different myths have different origins, so it's hard to generalize."

Hasgard chimed in, "I can confirm that for Europeans in our world, their origins are tied to the Greek myth of Europa."

Seiya summarized, "Human origins are complicated and not tied to any single myth."

Daigo remarked, "I see."

Diana mused, "If archaeologists confirmed these myths, they'd probably go insane."

Shion shook his head. "But for the brothers Cain and Abel from mythology to become containment objects—it's unbelievable."

Bruce Wayne speculated, "Could it just be a coincidence? Maybe they're just named after the mythological figures."

Diana nodded. "That's possible."

Orochimaru interrupted, "Why waste time speculating? We'll know soon enough."

As everyone debated, the screen displayed a photograph of two individuals.

One was shirtless, with long black hair, dark skin, and piercing black eyes, exuding a wild and untamed aura.

The other wore ancient Greek attire, had a ponytail, light blue eyes, dark skin, and looked equally handsome, though he had an honest and humble demeanor.

The two, with their starkly contrasting personalities, standing together, gave off a unique vibe. A closer look revealed that they resembled each other greatly, with strange, ancient runes etched on their bodies.

"The containment objects Cain and Abel are brothers. No one knows why they bear the names of the biblical Cain and Abel, nor how they were discovered, as their origins differ entirely."

"Abel was first discovered based on reports of a psychopathic murderer in a remote area, slaughtering everyone he encountered."

"Such lunatics aren't uncommon and wouldn't usually warrant our organization's attention."

"However, further reports revealed something alarming: local authorities had killed the murderer multiple times, yet he inexplicably reappeared, seemingly resurrected."

"This caught the organization's attention. When our team investigated, they encountered Abel."

"Abel wielded a massive black sword and killed everyone in sight. Our task force tried to subdue him using tranquilizers potent enough to knock out an elephant, but they had no effect. Left with no choice, they killed him, only for him to reappear minutes later. After losing several members, the team concluded that Abel possessed some kind of resurrection ability."

The screen shifted to a video showing Abel.

On a barren plain, task force members fired relentlessly at Abel. Despite being riddled with bullets from assault rifles, his body resembling a pincushion, Abel managed to kill over ten operatives before finally collapsing.

The video then cut to a black, cross-shaped coffin. Slowly, the coffin opened, and Abel emerged once again.

"The organization immediately secured the coffin and Abel for research. Although several members perished during containment, valuable information was obtained."

"First, Abel isn't entirely mindless. Upon emerging from the coffin, he retains his sanity and can communicate. He only becomes violent if provoked."

"However, when Abel moves more than thirty meters from the coffin, his emotions spiral out of control, and he begins indiscriminate slaughter."

"Abel's physical capabilities far exceed those of normal humans, but he can be killed. Our tests confirmed several methods: intense gunfire, dropping a hundred-ton object from a kilometer above, prolonged vacuum exposure, and submersion in deep water to induce oxygen deprivation."

"Yet no matter how he is killed, Abel always resurrects in the coffin, retaining memories from before death. This makes him increasingly experienced and harder to defeat, raising the cost of containment each time."
