Chapter 368: Atlantheia
"Heh, you've already made yourself the new leader of the Watchers so quickly?"
"Perfect. Hurry up and take those dazed, bald heads with you. Stop wandering around under my nose all day."
This remark left Zane speechless.
After all, he had already discussed with Uatu that once he left Domain of Watchers, the Watcher clan would continue staying there as usual, carrying out their missions across various universes.
And with the [Eye of Observation], Zane wouldn't have to worry about any outsider intercepting the communication between him and the Watchers. All information could be passed through the [Eye of Observation].
"You sure know quite a lot. Did your father, Merlin, tell you all this?" Zane asked, changing the subject.
"Hmph, don't underestimate me! I can observe the entire [Omniverse] myself. So, I actually know a fair amount about you," Roma said with a snort of disdain.
Zane ignored Roma's boasting and instead asked the question he was most curious about:
"Who exactly is your father, Merlin? What's the extent of his power?"
Zane thought to himself that even though Uatu, as a Watcher, couldn't discern Merlin's true capabilities, then as Merlin's daughter and someone closest to him, Roma might know.
More importantly, Zane wanted to use this opportunity to gauge the level of The Living Tribunal—a being previously regarded as the supreme deity second only to OAA in Marvel's hierarchy.
"I don't know either," Roma replied casually. "Even though I'm his daughter, to me, he's still an enigma."
"I can't see through him, and I even suspect if he truly exists at all."
She spread her hands openly and added:
"What I can tell you is that he's the greatest magician in this entire [Omniverse], hailed as the 'Sorcerer Supreme of the Omniverse,' and is also the [Omniversal Overseer].
"And unlike cosmic beings such as the Living Tribunal, his title is self-proclaimed. He isn't governed by anyone or any faction."
"He firmly believes that every individual in this [Omniverse] belongs to its core and shouldn't become someone else's pawn."
"Your appearance gave him both hope and confusion because, as he put it, you are a piece that suddenly fell onto the chessboard."
"To this day, in the flow of time, he still can't determine whether you belong to the black side or the white side..."
'A chess piece, huh? Then who could possibly be the one moving me on the board?'
Zane snorted inwardly at the notion, then changed his tone and asked Roma,
"Didn't you say I'd get a surprise if I won? What now? Planning to go back on your word?"
"The surprise is that this beautiful lady will accompany you as we leave Domain of Watchers together. How about that?"
Roma smiled brightly at Zane.
Zane was about to refuse the woman he'd only met once when suddenly a voice reached him telepathically:
'Husband, ask her if she knows where the [Atlantheia Universe] is.'
To his surprise, Lorna had just woken up and directly contacted him from within the [Divine Realm].
"The [Atlantheia Universe], do you know where it is? If you do, then you can come along."
"Atlantheia? That's simple. It's just a [pocket universe] attached to the main universe."
"Every now and then, people venture there to explore. But I can only guide you to its entrance."
"That [pocket universe] is said to be the ruins left behind after the fall of the legendary Nemesis."
"Outsiders can't enter at all."
"Nemesis?"
"The one who committed suicide and split her power into six Infinity Stones?"
Hearing Roma's words, Zane immediately recalled the theories from his original world about the origins of the six Infinity Stones.
He hadn't expected that Nemesis actually existed in the Marvel universe.
Roma, equally surprised that Zane knew about this, stared at him in astonishment and said,
"You even know about this?"
"I didn't know anything about it myself. I wasn't born back then. My dad only told me about it when he took me to [Atlantheia]."
"He said Nemesis was another deity outside OAA's jurisdiction, but her divinity surpassed even beings like the Living Tribunal."
"So, when she ended her own life, she didn't fall under [Death's] domain nor was she cast into Void."
"She divided her power entirely just because she found the entire [Omniverse] too boring."
"It's said that only someone who gathers all six Infinity Stones is worthy of entering her [Atlantheia] and claiming her true power."
"But there have been people in the past who gathered all the Stones and still couldn't enter that place."
"The one who did manage to gather the Stones claimed they were missing something called the [Key of Mind], which prevented them from entering."
"After that rumor spread, everyone across the universe began searching near the ruins of [Atlantheia]."
"They believe that since no one has ever unlocked Nemesis's power, the so-called [Key of Mind] must still be hidden somewhere around [Atlantheia]."
"So, what now? Do you have all six Infinity Stones and want to give it a shot?"
"Perfect timing—I haven't been to [Atlantheia] in ages."
After finishing, Roma blinked her bright eyes at Zane playfully.
Though Zane knew Roma was a being who had lived for over a thousand years, at this moment, she seemed like a coquettish teenager around seventeen or eighteen.
"Fine. You can tag along with us from now on. After all, if we're venturing into the lower dimensional universes, you're probably more familiar with them than we are."
A thousand-year-old magician who constantly monitors all the universes? She's practically a walking interstellar GPS.
"But if you try anything dangerous during the journey, don't blame me for turning on you. After all, I still don't know whether you're a friend or a foe."
"Hehe, don't worry. I only wanted to leave this starry castle because it's just too boring being alone all the time. I thought it'd be fun to tag along for some fresh air."
"I'll behave just like your new little Watcher friends. I'll observe but won't interfere."
"So, if you find yourself in danger, don't blame me if I stand by and do nothing."
Roma chuckled, though her tone revealed a hint of dissatisfaction with Zane's earlier remark.
At that moment, Lorna's voice suddenly echoed in Zane's mind again.
'Husband, let me out now!'
"Hm?"
Just as Zane was momentarily distracted, a flash of light appeared, and Lorna materialized out of thin air inside the castle.
Without even acknowledging Roma, who was sizing her up, Lorna clung to Zane's arm and began swaying it back and forth.
"Husband, I'm so bored in there! Take me back to your place already!"
For someone claiming to be bored, the intent behind her words couldn't have been more obvious.
Zane instantly understood and nodded at Roma before taking Lorna—who had just emerged from the [Divine Realm]—back to the planet he was staying on.
Roma hadn't expected this sudden turn of events. A trace of awkwardness flickered across her face as she stared at the spot where Zane had vanished.
Muttering to herself, she said,
"Dad, is this really the second person in thousands of years that you can't see through?"
