Chapter 77: Ch. 75 - The Great War! [12]
I don't know how many hours have passed but the energy signal that the Energy Detector device detected earlier turns out to be further than I expected.
It's not like the device is faulty, Ajuka already assured me it's not. It's just that we're quite a bit slow in terms of flying.
Though I can just simply activate my Sacred Gear and use the Chrono Shift ability to speed both my and Ajuka's time but that would leave me exhausted instead.
With the possibility of needing my strength against the Apocalypse Beast, I can't afford to go in the battle without being in my prime state.
Hence, we have no choice but to resort to using our full natural speed.
"We're getting a bit close." Ajuka's voice snapped me back to reality, his words filling me with anticipation and anxiety.
I might have the biggest battle I'll ever had ahead of me once we reached their position.
A few minutes later, true to Ajuka's words, we finally saw a glimpse of a huge being in the distance, not even the darkness and the kaleidoscope of colors around them cannot hide such an enormous beast.
"Is this the Apocalypse Beast?" I hear Ajuka mutter behind me.
In fact, I'm in the same position as him, wondering if the huge beast in front of us is the Apocalypse Beast.
Because if it is, then we're doomed.
The said being is larger than Earth! I can't even see the end of its body.
Despite its large and enormous figure, a small dot stood out, a blinding white light rushing towards the Apocalypse Beast's head.
Speaking of head, the beast's face was disfigured, six large eyes, three on each side and an large open mouth in the middle, each and every part on its face is grosteque that even a its mother woudn't dare to kiss.
In other words, it looks like something that came out of a child's nightmare, tenfold.
"Is that…" Ajuka seemed to have also noticed the small dot light in the distance, facing against the huge monstrosity.
"It's the Big G." I finished his words.
"S-Should we go ahead and help? Would Big G even let us help him? What if he kills us on the spot after seeing us?"
"No he won't." I swiftly respond without hesitation, surprising the green-haired devil.
"He won't?!" Ajuka exasperatedly replied, wondering where I got my confidence from.
"Yup. Come on, let's go!" A green glow surrounded my figure and blurred away.
Even Ajuka, an Ultimate-class devil was shocked and unable to see how I disappeared.
How can he? I used the power of time to increase my overall speed, I bet not even Lucifer himself would be able to react to my speed, as long as I take advantage of the moment of surprise.
In an instant, I reappeared beside God, shrugging off the intense heat that he's radiating around him.
God himself looked shocked at seeing my presence, not expecting me to appear.
"Chamber? What are you doing here? You're not supposed to be here!" God immediately warned, ignoring the countless planetary-sized tentacles smashing against the barrier that enveloped us.
The same goes for me, instead of worrying at the enormous beast, I was more worried about God.
"What else but to help my grandpa from killing himself before the Great War could even start." I rolled my eyes as I answered him as if stating an obvious fact.
Then I continued.
"Why didn't you tell me about this?" I asked him first, ignoring everything else.
This is what has been nagging me on for the past few months.
"I…." It seems like my question made God speechless.
"Explain later. For now, let's deal with this guy. I already warned you about it, didn't I?" My words were met with a nod of head from God as he spoke.
"Is your friend gonna join or just watch us?" God Ws referring to Ajuka, who was just standing on the sidelines with a shocked face.
It seems like no matter how smart he is, he can't comprehend the fact that I could get close to God without being burnt to ashes and not to mention, chat together like we're friends.
"Yes. He'll be joining." As if on cue, Ajuka was 'magically' pulled towards our position, swiftly evading the large tentacles attempting to squash him to death.
Right exactly as he appeared on our side, inside the barrier, God purposely lowered the intensity of his holy energy aura, protecting Ajuka from being burned into ashes.
I guess I'm built so different that God doesn't need to adjust his holy aura when it comes to me.
"Hello there." Instead of anger as Ajuka was expecting, God gave him a wink and a warm smile instead, slightly easing the fear on Ajuka's face.
This is the first time I've seen him scared shitless like this. Oh what a shame that cameras doesn't exist yet during this time.
If I did, I could've gotten myself a bunch of high quality blackmail materials against this aloof yet intelligent devil.
"A-Are we seriously facing this monster?" Ajuka gulped his saliva and shifted his fear from God to the Apocalypse Beast.
"Chamber said you'd help." God replied as he glances at me, who was busy checking the weather in a place where the atmosphere doesn't exist.
Ajuka's fear disappeared and was replaced with unbridled anger towards me.
"What do you mean I'd help, you dumbass! I only said I'll help you locate them and I already did! We didn't talk about fighting against the beast!" Ajuka grabbed the hem of my robes and shook me back and forth consistently.
As for me, I had a delightful expression on my face, satisfied smile plastered on my mouth.
Everyone knows how ecstatic you'd feel when you successfully rage-baited your friend.
"Alright you two, stop this instant!" Thankfully, God was there to prevent Ajuka from taking my life away from me, albeit I doubt he could do that.
"My barrier won't last long and this beast would for as long as it wants." He continued.
"It is impossible to kill it, trust me, I've tried it several times these past few days and nothing worked. We can only seal it again."
His last sentence caught my by surprise.
"Again? What do you mean? You fought this beast before?" I asked while pointing at the Apocalypse Beast thrashing widely towards the small holy barrier.
God nodded his head with a grim expression as he explained next.
"Before the creation of humans where only Gods roam the universe, I met this beast here, belonging from another Universe that I have no idea of. Not only was it unkillable but it also possesses the capabilities to destroy the entire universe if he were to leave the Dimensional Gap. Hence why I asked the Infinity Dragon God to watch over Trihexa after I sealing it billions of years ago since the Dimensional Gap is technically her resting place."
"If that's the case, then where's the Infinity Dragon God? Why can't she help us now?" For some unknown reason, I wanted to be angry towards this Dragon God.
There's a being capable of destroying the universe and this Dragon God doesn't seem to care about it?!
In response, God simply shook his head and said.
"Dimensional Gap is no longer her home. It was stolen by Great Red, thousands of years ago. So her current whereabouts are unknown." At this point, my anger that is about to be lit was immediately extinguished.
W-Well, I guess I can't blame her then.
But at least this Great Red should be able to help us, right?
When I asked God this question, he simply shrugged his shoulders.
"That's what I have no idea of. I haven't met the Great Red personally yet, so I don't know if it would help us in this matter."
Goddamit, why are the two strongest beings in the universe so unreliable?
Don't they know that with Great Power comes with Great Responsibility?!
"Since you already sealed it once, can you seal it again?" Ajuka, who has been sitting on the sidelines, watching us interact, finally gathered enough courage to ask, his question directed at God.
God simply gave him a look.
"If I could do it, I would've done it long ago. Trihexa has grown stronger and for reasons I don't know." His words poured a bucket of cold water over Ajuka's head, dousing the hope in his eyes.
"That's before but you have us now. It increases the chances of sealing Trihexa." In order to revive the solemn mood, I tried to cheer them up.
"You're right and besides, I wasn't alone when sealing the beast." God then responded, causing me to freeze in my tracks.
"Oh…" God had a wry smile on his face as he dumbly scratched his cheeks.
"I should've said it soon, right?" He admitted his mistake, before I could yell at him out of anger, he quickly changed the topic.
"Ehem! Anyways, I could've asked that 'man's help but I'm too occupied holding Trihexa off, so I couldn't find the time to go back and ask him."
"If that's the case then leave it to me. I'll hold Trihexa off." Both Ajuka and God stared at me in shock as if I just said something dumb.
"Are you sure? But…convincing that man would require a bit more time." It was God who said this.
"Of course I am. I have something in my sleeve. Something that I've been waiting since forever to use." I smirked as the pocket watch hanging on my neck glowed in green light.
My mind immediately went to one of its abilities.
The Loop ability.
A skill similar to what Doctor Strange used against Dormammu. It could make me respawn as much as I want as long as I have the reserves necessary.
After successfully convincing God to leave the beast to me, he finally left along with Ajuka who 'insisted' that he's good at convincing someone.
Heh, that's a lie, obviously. He just wanted to get as far away as possible from a being that could kill him in a blink of an eye.
"Alright you beast. Have you ever heard of Bargaining?" Slamming my fist to my palm, causing a shockwave, I grinned in the process. The green light on my Sacred Gear physical form shining brightly.
"ROAAARR!!" Despite it having no oxygen or air in the Dimensional Gap, Trihexa's roar managed to release a defeaning sound that resonated across the large and open space.
