Chapter 15: CH 15: Mail
[Loony Lovegood]: but isn't Wyrmling for baby dragons?
Luna asked, tilting her head in confusion. She remembered what the books and people at the sanctuary had said clearly.
[Wyrmling]: I'm not a baby! And at first, I'm human, it's just because of the things I got from the Chat Group System, I turned into a dragon.
[Viking Warrior]: You're a human? Pity.
Astrid let out a sigh, looking at her fist, then at the Monstrous Nightmare being dragged away in the distance. She thought that if she couldn't handle a full-grown Monstrous Nightmare on her own, maybe she could take on a baby dragon.
[Wyrmling]: What do you mean by Pity?! Do you think it's easy to defeat me! Who do you think you are?
Ragnar punched the air in front of him, feeling frustrated at being targeted for no reason.
[Viking Warrior]: I'm Astrid Hofferson! I'm going to be the Best Viking.
[Wyrmling]: And I'm Ragnar. I'm going to be the Hokage.
[Viking Warrior]: ????
[Viking Warrior]: Hokage or Dragon, whatever you are, I just helped catch a dragon.
Although Ragnar answered jokingly, his mind was focused on something else. 'It's a girl,' he thought, surprised that Astrid was the one in the chat.
Ragnar then looked at the chat, sensing Astrid's threatening words. He then glanced at his fist. "Gender Equality Punch," he muttered, nodding slightly.
Sona chuckled at their argument before focusing on what the Viking had said. 'Missions,' she thought. 'Is there something like that?' She checked the options in the chat group system but found nothing, so she asked the group directly.
[Shitori Sona]: What missions are you talking about?
[Viking Warrior]: The system detected a destiny, then it gave me a mission to help not make it happen, then after completing it, gave me a reward.
[Shitori Sona]: I understood.
[Shitori Sona]: Wyrmling, Do you encounter something like that, as the first one that joined the chat group?
Sona asked Ragnar, wanting to make sure nothing was left out. She wanted to find out if there was another way to get missions from the system, not just waiting for destiny to happen.
[Wyrmling]: Yeah, I encountered a mission when I first joined, but mine was a MAJOR destiny, something more important than just a destiny.
[Viking Warrior]: Are you saying what I did isn't important?
Astrid's face scrunched into a frown. She didn't like this dragon very much.
[Wyrmling]: Woah, I didn't say that, you did.

Astrid's face darkened. She slammed her small fist onto the table in front of her, making the people nearby jump. They saw cracks radiating from the impact, and whispers rippled through the crowd.
"It's true," a male Viking whispered to his friend. People began to gather around Astrid, whispering amongst themselves.
However, they aren't insulting her, but they're all excited. For them, the only explanation for Astrid's sudden strength was a blessing from a god, just like in the legends.
Astrid scowled, withdrawing her fist and lowering her head. 'If I see you, I'm gonna punch you in the face,' she promised herself, thinking about the dragon in the chat group. She glanced at the curious crowd before a voice cut through the murmurs.
"Make way, make way!" Gobber pushed through the throng, then moved aside, revealing an old woman holding a wooden staff.
"Here she is, Gothi," Gobber said, patting Astrid's head.
"What do you think?"
Gothi's eyes narrowed as she moved closer, tapping Astrid with her staff before stopping and drawing on the ground.
First, she drew a stick figure, then another stick figure surrounding the first.
"Leader," Gobber muttered, squinting. He was the only one that could understand what she was drawing.
Then, Gothi's staff hit Gobber on the head, making him wince as he rubbed his red forehead. He looked back at Gothi, who was pointing at her drawing, prompting him to guess again.
"L–Cha–Champion," Gobber said slowly, as he changed his words every time Gothi's staff moved to hit him.
Gothi nodded, satisfied. Then, she drew again, this time a cloud. She drew a stick figure standing on the cloud, then looked at Gobber expectantly.
"Heav–God," Gobber released a sigh of relief as Gothi's staff stopped near his head.
Gothi then pointed her staff back and forth between the two drawings.
"Champion, God, Champion, God," Gobber repeated, making Gothi clench her staff tighter.
Suddenly, Gobber's eyes widened in understanding. "God's Champion? She's Odin's Champion?" he asked, his jaw slacked.
Gothi's expression flickered for a moment. She realized it probably wasn't Odin who bestowed the blessing upon Astrid, but she nodded, simply wanting to be done with it.
"You hear that, everyone! The village elder said Astrid is a God's Champion!" Gobber bellowed excitedly, hoisting Astrid onto his shoulders again. Cheers erupted.
"Astrid! Astrid! Astrid!"
Astrid basked in the applause, a happy smile spreading across her face as she raised her hand, waving.
"You heard their cheers, son. One day, you'll be the one they're cheering for, Hiccup," Stoick said, smiling at the crowd as he patted his son's shoulder. He believed Hiccup could do the same.
"Dad, I don't think I can fight a dragon at our age," Hiccup said wryly, sneaking a glance at Astrid.
"Astrid," Hiccup whispered, mimicking the crowd's cheer as he gazed at her with amazement.

As the village of Berk celebrated the birth of a champion, the conversation in the chat group continued.
Sona was eager to learn more about the chat group system and what it could do.
[Shitori Sona]: If you both don't mind me asking, what's the reward you guys got from completing your missions?
[Wyrmling]: It's not a secret. The reward made me a real dragon.
[Wyrmling]: What did you get, brute woman?
Ragnar grinned, confident that Astrid's reward wasn't as good as his. After all, he faced the Phoenix Force to complete his mission.
[Viking Warrior]: Oh, so you aren't a human anymore, but a real dragon...
Astrid replied, stepping down from Gobber's shoulders. Then, she remembered her own rewards and a smirk curled her lips.
[Viking Warrior]: I only got blacksmith experience, but I just saw someone bashing a dragon's face with a hammer, so I'm okay with it.
Ragnar's grin faded slowly. His lips twitched slightly. 'Is a Viking Woman really this violent or she just hates Dragons too much,' he shook his head, but at the same time it helped him confirm the time line in Astrid world is set before "How to train your Dragon" Story started.
Then, Son of Plane finally chimed in, grabbing Ragnar's attention.
[Son of Plane]: Do you all think that the mission reward has soul rings?
Huo Yuhao was already planning how to get a soul ring without attracting the Duchess's attention. He couldn't leave his mother behind, and the mission reward seemed like the perfect solution.
[Viking Warrior]: Soul Ring? What is that?
[Shitori Sona]: Possibly. I think the rewards are based on how hard the destiny is to change.
Sona said, though she didn't know what a soul ring was. But she was confident in her analysis. From the Viking woman and the dragon's responses, she deduced that the rewards weren't comparable. A blacksmith experience couldn't be compared to becoming a dragon.
That meant if Son of Plane wanted a soul ring, he needed a challenging mission. 'Maybe the reward is even better than whatever a soul ring is,' Sona thought, a smile spreading across her face. She breathed a sigh of relief knowing everyone in the chat group was probably from different worlds.
[Wyrmling]: Hey, you're the only one who hasn't said their name yet.
Ragnar, waiting for an answer. But he already had a guess in his mind. The soul ring and the title gave it all away: There was only one Son of Plane in Douluo. 'And that is the slave protagonist, Huo Yuhao,' he thought.
[Son of Plane]: Oh, sorry. I'm Huo Yuhao. Please take care of me.
Huo Yuhao introduced himself politely, knowing how much the chat group was connected to his rise. Finally, he saw the chat group system's rule that every member couldn't hurt each other.
'Maybe here, I can have someone I can trust,' Huo Yuhao thought, his emotions swirling. He hadn't had any friends since birth. Everyone in the Duke's estate looked down on them because of the rumors the Duchess spread.
[Son of Plane]: Do you guys know how to get a mission?
[Shitori Sona]: Unfortunately, you need the right time. It will come to you.
[Shitori Sona]: Wyrmling, do you know what other things the chat group system can do?
Sona didn't want to just wait for something to happen. Destiny was too vague to trust. At the same time, she wanted to believe that this wasn't all the chat group system could do.
[Wyrmling]: How do I know. I just joined a day before you guys. So, how about we just ask the system itself?
And with those words, the chat group system responded.
[Mail: The Chat Group Members can send items to each other]
[Wyrmling]: Does anyone want to try?
