Marvel: Dragon King

Chapter 13: CH 13: Gift Packs(2)

"Mom, there's a talking dragon in the Chat Group," Luna exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement, like she'd discovered a whole new world.

"Do you think it could be my friend?" Luna asked hopefully.

"Of course, honey. I'm pretty sure there isn't a dragon in the world that wouldn't love a friend like you," Pandora said, gently flicking Luna's nose, which made her giggle. She then caressed Luna's hair affectionately.

"Tell me more about this chat group of yours. Besides the dragon, who else is in it?" Pandora asked softly, starting to braid Luna's hair. She wanted to know more, but she didn't want Luna to feel like she was being interrogated.

"There's a Viking, and she says her village fights dragons every night," Luna said, her expression turning serious. "I hope she won't fight the dragon in the chat. I think it's still a baby," she added with a hint of worry.

'A talking dragon and a Viking village that are being attacked by dragons every night?' Pandora frowned, finding the chat group a bit nonsensical. However, she still believed it was real. After all, their entire family was dedicated to uncovering the impossible.

"Then there's a boy who kept asking for help because his mom is sick," Luna continued, turning to Pandora. "Mom, can we help him?" she whispered, looking up at her mother with hopeful eyes.

Pandora simply smiled, knowing that Luna would always have a kind heart. "Of course, we can, honey. But we need to figure out what his mother's sickness is first and where he lives," she said. Although she wanted to help, she also wanted to figure out, who and where the people connected to Luna were.

"He said he's from Star Luo city," Luna mumbled, her eyes widening, as she remembers something.

"Oh yeah, the dragon said there's a gift pack!" Luna exclaimed, excitedly checking the system, thinking she was getting a present like she did at Christmas.

"All done," Pandora said, letting go of Luna's hair and admiring it, but her mind was already wondering where Star Luo city could be.

[Do you want to open the chat group gift pack?]

[Yes/No]

"Yes!" Luna answered, closing her eyes and making a wish. "I want something that can help me find other magical animals," she wished, as if blowing out candles on a birthday cake.

[Opening Gift Pack..3..2..1]

[You got Ancient Magic Affinity]

[Animal Affinity]

[Ancient Magic: Magical Animal Contract]

[Identification]

[Do you wish to accept?]

'Accept,' Luna thought innocently, believing the chat group had listened to her wish and will give her helpful things to magical animals that people didn't believe existed.

[Ancient Magic Affinity Starting..3..2..1]

[Animal Affinity Starting..3..2..1]

[Ancient Magic: Magical Animal Contract: Accepted]

[Identification Turning On..3..2..1]

As Luna received the Ancient Magic Affinity, she began seeing different kinds of colorful lines throughout the world. She could even see Wrackspurts, creatures invisible to human eyes. She happily observed them, distracted as she tried to manipulate the colorful lines, but nothing happened.

However, what Luna didn't know was that her eyes had changed, now shimmering with an ethereal glow, while the objects around her started floating uncontrollably.

'A magical outburst at her age?' Pandora thought, looking around in surprise before fixing worried eyes on Luna.

Muggle parents wouldn't know what it meant, but Pandora did. A magical outburst occurred when a child with magical abilities had strong emotions that made their magic uncontrollable, affecting their surroundings.

As they grew older, their magic typically stabilized, some children could still make things float without knowing if they were angry, but Pandora knew what she was seeing was different, from seeing the intensity of Luna's magic outburst.

Then, Pandora was stunned as Luna turned around, and things began to fall back down. Pandora saw Luna's shimmering ethereal eyes and reached for her daughter.

"What happened to you?" Pandora asked, looking Luna up and down to make sure nothing was wrong.

"Mom, I can see them," Luna said, raising her right palm. Wrackspurts floated towards her palm obediently, showing her Animal Affinity.

"What is it?" Pandora asked, unable to see anything on Luna's palm. But she knew her daughter wouldn't lie.

"The Wrackspurts," Luna answered, smiling innocently, unaware that her magic had momentarily gone haywire.

In Douluo Plane, Huo Yuhao hurriedly accepted the gift pack, hoping it would have something that could help his mother.

[Opening Gift Pack..3..2..1]

[You got a Level 20 innate spirit]

[Martial Soul Second Awakening]

[Second Martial Soul]

[Do you wish to accept?]

Huo Yuhao froze, unsure how to feel. Although he didn't get anything that could directly improve his mother's condition, he couldn't deny he was happy about the gifts. He knew this would give him strength.

Huo Yuhao looked at his mother, clenching his fist and lowering his head. He couldn't bear to meet her gaze, feeling it was wrong to be happy when he was the only one getting stronger while his mother continued to suffer.

"Yuhao, is there something wrong?" Huo Yutong asked, her brow furrowed with worry. She coughed slightly, her voice weak, noticing her son's somber expression.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't help you, Mom," Huo Yuhao said, guilt gnawing at him. He felt powerless to do anything for her.

Huo Yutong's eyes widened, then she offered a weak smile and held his hand.

"You don't have to worry about me, Yuhao. You just need to grow up healthy," Huo Yutong whispered lovingly, knowing her body was growing weaker and she wouldn't be there for him when he grew up.

Huo Yuhao raised his head, his eyes filled with tears, but also determination. He nodded to his mother.

"I know, I'll grow stronger, Mom. And I'll find a way to help you," Huo Yuhao promised, clenching his fist.

"I believe you," Huo Yutong whispered, though she knew it was nearly impossible. The Duchess wouldn't let them leave, and no one dared to help them because of the rumors she had spread.

"Mom, you should rest, okay? You go practice by yourself," Huo Yutong said, lying back on the bed. She was already exhausted, her weak body making her fall asleep quickly.

Huo Yuhao didn't say anything. He helped cover his mother with a blanket before sitting cross-legged on the floor, closing his eyes, and accepting the gifts from the Gift Pack.

[Level 20 Innate Spirit Accepting..3..2..1]

[Martial Soul Second Awakening..3..2..1]

Huo Yuhao frowned as he felt his original level 3 Spirit, which he had worked hard for two years to cultivate, began to rise rapidly, even breaking through to level 10 without any soul ring before stopping at level 20.

Then Huo Yuhao felt a block preventing further advancement. He knew he needed to obtain a soul ring if he wanted to improve and surpass his limits, but it didn't end there.

Huo Yuhao felt his malnourished body begin to strengthen, vitality flooding into his system.

His skinny frame became stronger, even showing muscles he didn't have before, and he grew taller.

Huo Yuhao opened his eyes, his Martial Soul activating uncontrollably, shining with a silver light before turning purple, showcasing his evolved Martial Soul: Silver Awakening.

Huo Yuhao looked around the shack, using his Martial Soul.

He noticed its improvements: longer, enhanced time perception, the ability to see the most delicate and intricate changes in his surroundings, and an overwhelming flow of spiritual power in his mind.

Hou Yuhao then controlled his Martial Soul, the light in his eyes fading. He knew this wasn't the time to test his Martial Soul's changes. He still had one more thing to accept, which could be his trump card in the future.

But before Huo Yuhao could accept the second Martial Soul from the gift pack, he realized that even without activating his Martial Soul, he could perceive the peculiarities of every detail.

Huo Yuhao was delighted and excited, but he knew he needed to accept the most important thing for his future.

He felt something suddenly appear deep within him, and a blonde-haired girl with six white wings on her back materialized behind him.

"Seraphim," Huo Yuhao whispered as the name of his second Martial Soul appeared in his mind. He couldn't contain his delight.

Although ten thousand years had passed, stories and legends of the Battle of the Gods hadn't disappeared, and the legends of Seraphim were still told today.

Huo Yuhao's eyes narrowed, clenching his fist as he thought about how to absorb a soul ring. He knew the Duchess and her men wouldn't let him obtain a soul ring and grow strong. If they discovered his strength, they would likely make him disappear.

He knew his Martial Soul had immense potential, making him a reborn genius, only a genius who lived could fully realize their potential.

Thinking about a plan to get a Soul Ring, Huo Yuhao didn't notice the Seraphim Martial Soul behind him was looking at his back, its eyes radiating with various emotions before fading away.
