"Alright, don't eat too many desserts before the main course."
"Save some room, there's a feast coming."
Seeing Tsunade's expression, Ron smirked slightly and moved the cake away from Shizune,
deliberately placing it in front of Tsunade.
Noticing how her eyes instinctively followed the cake, her small nose twitching slightly, Ron
chuckled.
This is just the beginning.
The real feast was yet to come.
"This dish is honey-glazed spare ribs..."
"And this one is roasted pigeon with pi-pa sauce..."
As if performing a magic trick, Ron kept pulling out dish after dish.
Soon, the entire table was filled.
Shizune stared, wide-eyed, unconsciously taking a deep breath as the enticing aroma hit her.
She nearly drooled.
Quickly, she shut her mouth and swallowed hard.
Gulp~~
Realizing how embarrassing she looked, her face turned red again.
There were still more dishes in storage.
One table wasn't enough.
Ron grabbed another table from the side and combined them.
Now, both tables were completely covered with food—over a dozen dishes.
And this wasn't even everything.
After sitting down, Ron took out a bottle of Maotai.
The saying goes: The ones who drink it don't buy it, and the ones who buy it don't drink it.
Having lived two lives, this was actually his first time trying it.
"Alright, Shizune, let's eat!"
"Too bad someone already stuffed herself."
"Looks like it's just the two of us enjoying this feast~~"
Shizune was just about to start eating when she hesitated, glancing awkwardly at Tsunade.
Tsunade pouted. "Why are you looking at me? I'm already full!"
"That kid brought this just for you, so hurry up and eat!"
"Besides, I, the great Tsunade, have eaten all kinds of delicacies."
Ron chimed in, "Exactly!"
"The famous Tsunade must've had roasted suckling pig before."
"Shizune, try it. This pig is crispy and tender!"
"And don't forget the Beijing-style roast duck~~"
Being just a teenager, Shizune didn't catch Ron's teasing tone.
Hearing him talk, she picked up some food and took a bite.
The moment it touched her tongue, her eyes lit up.
She had no time to respond to Ron—she just kept eating, bite after bite.
Tsunade watched, stunned.
Is it really that good?
No way.
Shizune had been with her all this time; it's not like she ever starved.
If she had food, Shizune had food.
This brat's cooking might look nice and smell good...
But could it really be that delicious?
Maybe I should try a bite?
"What's that amazing smell? Boss, bring me a table of whatever they're having!"
Just then, a middle-aged man with wild white hair and a large nose strolled in.
At first, he squinted, not noticing Ron and the others.
But as he followed the aroma, his face suddenly lit up with excitement.
In a flash, he appeared beside the table.
"Tsunade! Shizune!"
"What a coincidence!"
"Jiraiya."
Tsunade nodded at him.
No matter what, they were former classmates.
Though she disapproved of his pervy habits, there was still a bond of friendship.
"I was just looking for you about something, but I'll eat first and talk later!"
Excited, Jiraiya rubbed his hands together, picked up a pair of chopsticks, and reached for the food.
Clack~!
His chopsticks were blocked by another pair.
"This is my food. If you want some, order your own."
Ron turned his head and calmly stared at him.
Jiraiya's face froze.
"Kid..."
"Jiraiya, you don't recognize him?!"
Tsunade suddenly interjected, looking puzzled.
Jiraiya blinked in confusion. "Why would I?"
"Isn't he the old man's new disciple?"
Tsunade's question made Jiraiya even more baffled.
"When did the old man take a new student?"
Unlike Tsunade, he had left the village early.
He only left Konoha after Orochimaru defected, using the pursuit as an excuse.
During the Third Shinobi War, he had been stationed at a battlefield command post.
This time, he had returned specifically to find Tsunade.
Jiraiya's response made Tsunade's expression darken.
Her aura flared as she locked eyes with Ron.
"Who exactly are you?"
Jiraiya also dropped his casual demeanor, his presence pressing toward Ron.
Shizune set down her chopsticks, glancing around anxiously, completely lost on what was happening.
Ron calmly placed his chopsticks down.
"My name is Ron. Ron Stark."
Tsunade's eyes narrowed. "So you aren't the old man's disciple?"
Ron shook his head. "I am not Sarutobi Hiruzen's student."
Jiraiya nodded. "Exactly. If the old man took in a disciple, why wouldn't I have been informed?"
Tsunade's gaze grew even more suspicious and wary.
"You're not from Konoha?"
Ron: "No."
Tsunade stood up, her expression grave.
"Then how do you know about my hemophobia?"
"How did you learn the Flying Thunder God technique?"
"And why did you pretend to be the old man's disciple to get close to me!?"
...
