Chapter 11: Back to Marvel, Upgrading Ninjutsu
-----
-----
As soon as the words left his mouth, Ron vanished instantly.
Tsunade's pupils shrank violently.
"Space-time ninjutsu!?"
"Flying Thunder God? Or something else..."
So he really is the old man's new disciple.
Otherwise, how could he know the Flying Thunder God technique?!
And he even has a natural talent for space-time ninjutsu.
His physique is insanely strong too.
He might actually be even more powerful than the Yellow Flash, Minato Namikaze.
After all, only two people have ever mastered the Flying Thunder God technique—
One was her granduncle, Tobirama Senju.
The other was Minato Namikaze.
And now Ron knows it too, which clearly means he's from Konoha.
"That damn brat..."
Tsunade smacked her forehead.
"I forgot to ask for his name."
...
Ron returned to the Marvel world.
Not even three minutes later, Tony appeared right in front of him.
"Ron!"
"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!!!"
"You actually came back?!"
"You've been gone for over ten days!"
Uh...
Ron scratched his head awkwardly.
"Sorry, I'll give you a heads-up next time."
Tony reluctantly nodded.
"Alright, fine. As long as you're safe, that's what matters most."
"Without you, I don't even know who I'd leave Stark Industries to."
Ron glanced at Pepper in the corner of his eye and smirked.
"Oh, that's easy."
"Just hurry up and have a kid with Pepper. Problem solved."
"Or don't tell me you've been too indulgent over the years, and now you can't—?"
The moment those words left Ron's mouth, Pepper, who was walking by, suddenly paused.
She looked over expectantly.
"Can't?! Me?! Are you kidding?!"
"I'm Tony Stark!"
Tony puffed up his chest with pride.
"You know, right now, all I care about is developing new suits."
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Pepper turn away, clearly disappointed.
Ron sighed helplessly.
I tried to help you, Tony, but you blew it yourself.
Don't blame me.
"Pepper was just here."
"Quit messing with me."
"I'm not joking. She heard what you said and left."
Tony froze, then immediately turned around.
"Where?!"
Ron pointed towards the door.
"She just left. If you hurry, you might still catch up."
Before Ron could even finish speaking, Tony was already sprinting after her.
"F***! Ron, why didn't you tell me earlier?!"
"...Because you're too busy pretending you don't have feelings for her."
Even though Ron was still standing inside, his voice carried perfectly to Tony's ears.
Tony stopped in his tracks for a split second.
Seems like traveling between worlds comes with perks.
I wonder what the other world is really like...
Forget it, I'll think about it when I get back!
First, I need to win Pepper back!
"Jarvis, order a Chinese dinner and have it delivered to the mansion ASAP."
Inside the villa, Ron casually instructed Jarvis.
"Sir, the order has been placed. It will arrive within an hour."
Ron nodded.
An hour.
That's enough time to tweak my ninjutsu.
No, actually, it's time to improve it.
Ninjutsu in Naruto is just weird.
Water-style techniques involve spitting water, fine, makes sense.
But why do Fire-style techniques also require spitting fire?!
What's the connection between fire and the mouth?
Wouldn't your mouth dry out after too many fire jutsu?
Take Water Dragon Bullet, for example—nobody spits that one out.
And techniques like Earth-Style Wall and Chidori don't involve the mouth either.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to chakra control.
It's just energy. A slight modification should do the trick.
Instead of spewing fire from the mouth, what if I just launched it from my hands?
Throwing fireballs with my hands would look way cooler than spitting them.
...
An hour passed.
Ron had only just started organizing his thoughts when the food delivery arrived.
Watching the Stark-branded delivery helicopter, Ron gained a new appreciation for what money can do.
Just then, Tony returned.
Judging from his expression, things didn't go well.
Well, of course. Expecting Tony Stark to comfort someone?
Might as well expect vibranium to fall from the sky.
At least vibranium actually has fallen from the sky before.
Tony comforting someone?
The guy couldn't even remember that Pepper is allergic to strawberries.
Thinking about that, Ron suddenly said,
"By the way, if you're planning to apologize to Pepper, don't buy strawberries."
"Huh? Why?"
"She's allergic."
Tony froze. "How do you know that?"
Ron: "Because she told me."
"If you don't believe me, ask Jarvis. He probably has it on record."
Tony waved it off. "Alright, alright."
"By the way, why did you order so much food? And all Chinese?"
He watched as the staff unloaded boxes from the helicopter.
Curious, he looked at Ron.
Ron tapped Tony's chest lightly.
"I'm taking it to the other world. Let them have a taste."
"If everything goes well, that hole in your chest might finally heal completely."
"!!!"
Tony's eyes widened as he stared at Ron.
Ron patted him on the shoulder.
"Too bad I woke up too late."
"If I had realized things sooner, you wouldn't have had to go through all this."
Hearing that, Tony's eyes turned slightly red.
He thought Ron meant he would have protected him.
Obadiah's betrayal had cut deep.
If it weren't for Ron, Tony might have gone down a much darker path, just like in the original timeline.
Even something as small as the misunderstanding with Pepper just now—
If not for Ron, Tony's pride would have never allowed him to chase after her.
Once the food was packed up, Ron waved his hand, storing it all away.
Then, he pulled out his Iron Man suit.
"There's footage of the other world stored in this suit."
"Don't worry, I can take care of myself."
As Tony watched Ron casually crush a piece of metal with one hand, he was completely stunned.
Before he could ask anything—
Ron vanished right in front of him.
Tony stood there in shock and decided that
it would be best to find out what was going on.
...
