[Gray POV]

I was phasing through the buildings, people, and everything else that was in my way. I was heading to the FEAST shelter in a straight line. As soon as I reached there I saw my mom in a mix with over a few dozen people huddled at the edge of the buildings.

I crashed my batpod in Blonsky's torso, and blew it up. With a loud boom he got knocked off out of the building and landed across the street several meters away from the shelter.

"WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE?", roared abomination as he started running towards me.

I looked around at my mom and said, "Everyone get close together".

Now there are a few ways I can rescue these people. I can touch Blonsky and make him phase through everyone, so he just passes through the buildings and does 0 damage.

But this has a glaring weakness, I would be tangible to him. I am sure there is absolutely no way I can take him now, even with my exoskeleton armour. He can tear me apart like a piece of paper.

The second way is to find people and let them have a physical direct or indirect contact with me. This would allow me to phase with them through abomination and the rubble. I grabbed the woman's arm

"Everyone tightly grab another person.", I commanded, "Make sure everyone is physically connected."

Noah nodded, I could sense the tense emotions in her eyes. As I turned around to look at Blonsky, he was back in the building less than 20 meters away.

I started walking away from Blonsky, along with the others as they were being dragged by me.

The abomination slapped the ground and it shattered causing the debris to fly towards us.

[Noah POV]

I had no idea what was happening, I was trying to distract the monster. I knew it was futile but I did it anyway. All of a sudden I get saved by a guy with a futuristic looking mask. His eyes changing colour between blue and red.

He ordered us to stick close by, and be in physical contact with each other at all times. He grabbed wrist and I held it rightly. As we started to move away from the monster.

SMAAASH--

The monster slapped the ground and the shards started flying towards us. An old lady in our group tried to flee away from the group and raising her hands to protect her face. The shards were coming towards us at a great speed. I closed my eyes waiting for death. When .... nothing.

I looked behind where Bella was standing. Her eyes wide stunned, she was mumbling something. I couldn't make it out what she was saying. I looked at our mysterious saviour.

He was looking behind scanning something. I turned my eyes towards where he was looking, I stared the life less corpses of that old woman, her head got crushed by the debris.

I tightened my grip that was holding him, and we moved forward. The abomination came rushing and punched towards our group. We were still walking towards his punch.

His massive fist just passed through us. I could sense the shock on the abomination as he threw a barrage of punches that he threw towards us. His punches did destroy the ground beneath us but it wasn't much difficult to walk on that type of terrain.

We heard a loud roar and I saw another huge monster.

God help us!

The 2 monsters were engaged in a heated battle, there shockwaves could be felt. We have been going around from building to building, and take anyone who is alive, all they had to do was physically connect to us and they too will gain intangibility.

We started with a group of 26 people, however now there are more than a 100 people walking together closely …. following his lead.

[Grey POV]

I rescued more than 100 people! I felt extremely proud that I could save this many people. I can now finally get close to the battle and fight Blonsky without much worry.

As I was leaving I heard a slow sound behind me, "What is your name? Can you please tell us?". There were a few people lead by Noah, who is also a teacher in my school.

As soon as she asked this question everyone went silent, waiting for my response.

I began contemplating about my alias. My inspiration was batman, my armour looks like that of Arkham knight. I don't want to limit myself to just these.

Should I just call myself 'Batman'?

Or should I call myself 'Vengeance'.

The naming sense in marvel has been pretty awful, I mean there are a few good ones like Punisher, Daredevil… and Professor X is cool as well but majority of names suck. It's not just marvel but DC as well. I don't want to put -man in my name

And to be honest I don't even have that superhero trauma. I do miss my dad Jake who died 2 years back. I never lost Uncle Ben in my arms. I am just a guy who is trying to do the right thing while looking cool.. This world is pretty fucked up, not in terms just of scale… but in terms of judgement. Like that one time when Peter stole some science equipment and the US government declared him the enemy of the state. Or that one time when Gwen went with Norma—UGH, thinking of it makes me puke.

I just want to live with my family and punish evil. I want to make this world a better place. I not only want to survive but I want to thrive. I know that I barely have scratched the surface of my full potential. I want my name/callsign to be something that not only sounds majestic but not overwhelmingly so.

I took a moment to think of my life so far. I have a loving family, great friends. I am living a beautiful life. This is like the beginning of a dream, a beautiful dream in the night. The word night gives me a sense of warm comfort instead of discomfit. That is when I decided.

"Noctis", I replied as I headed to battle.
