Mr. Aguilar, are you really a reporter?"

The Vampire Queen asked Peter softly, her voice laced with a hint of allure.

Peter, initially dazed by her hypnotic charm, quickly steadied himself. Ever since time traveling, his mental resilience had grown exponentially. The incident with Mrs. Weber, when her fortune-telling backfired due to his mental strength, had proven that.

Now, the Vampire Queen's hypnosis had no effect on him.

Unaware of his immunity, she believed her trick had worked. With confidence, she adjusted her posture, letting her elegant figure come into view.

Peter, playing along, answered, "Yes, I'm a reporter for the Daily Bugle."

"Why are you so interested in the spacecraft that brought me here? Or is there something hidden within it?"

"My goal is to uncover breaking news," Peter replied, feigning complete control.

The Vampire Queen moved closer, peering into his eyes with her glowing white gaze.

Peter's heart raced, not from attraction, but from the alien embryo within him reacting. Keeping his composure, he leaned back slightly to avoid suspicion.

"You're an anomaly," she muttered. "Men usually can't hide their desires from me."

Peter blinked, unsure of how to respond.

"Every man I've encountered has had visible desires in their eyes—whether for power, wealth, or me. You, however, are different."

Peter shrugged. "Maybe I don't have any desires."

She smirked. "Humans are the most complex beings. They overflow with desire, far beyond basic survival instincts. I don't believe for a second that you're an exception."

Still convinced by her hypnosis, she ended the interrogation.

After half an hour of questions, Peter left. Once alone, the butler Collins entered the room.

"Miss, why did you hypnotize him?"

"I'm cautious, Collins. With enemies like vampires, werewolves, and demons, I can't take chances. Hypnosis ensures no lies."

"And yet..." she paused, her expression darkening.

"Yet what, Miss?"

"Something's... off about him." She frowned.

Before Collins could respond, the phone rang. Answering it, he listened intently before his face paled.

"Miss, I just received a call. The real Ben Aguilar apologized for missing his appointment."

Her eyes widened. "Then who was I speaking with just now?!"

Collins hesitated. "A fraud, perhaps? But how did he bypass your hypnosis?"

The Vampire Queen's shock turned into rage. "No one escapes my powers—not even the devil himself!"

Meanwhile, Gwen stood atop a rainy rooftop, trying to shield herself from the drizzle. She was still mastering her newly acquired love for Chinese food and carried a pocket dictionary for practice.

"Rain," she murmured in Chinese, looking up the word in her book.

Suddenly, a suspicious scene caught her eye below.

Swinging down, she landed near a store being looted by masked robbers. With quick reflexes, she incapacitated the attackers with her webbing and agile combat moves.

"Seriously, guys, robbery on a rainy day?" she quipped as she tied up the last one.

The grateful store clerks erupted in applause, leaving Gwen slightly flustered.

Exiting the store, she muttered to herself, "Well, at least I saved the day."

As she prepared to swing away, a voice called out behind her.

"Spider-Woman."

Turning, she found herself face-to-face with an unexpected figure.
