Marvel: AS A PRINCE IN ASGARD

Chapter 47: CHAPTER 47

Light. Infinite light.

Heat. Unbearable heat.

A colossal surge of energy erupted from Ragna's body—a radiance so intense that entire star systems would have mistaken him for a newborn supernova.

But instead of allowing it to expand outward, Ragna harnessed the power of the Space Gem, binding the explosive solar energy firmly within himself.

In this moment, he had become the incarnation of a Fixed Star.

This was the result of his battle with the Supreme Intelligence and the Sword Saint, a breakthrough achieved after pushing his mastery of solar energy to new heights.

His body melted into the Fixed Star, becoming one with its seething nuclear core.

"The sun is me… and I am the sun."

This—

This was the true embodiment of the Solar War Body.

A Battle That Warped the Cosmos

Previously, a normal Fixed Star's energy had been too diffuse and chaotic to harm Taneleer Tivan.

But now—

With Ragna himself embodying the sun, fusing his celestial power with the Space Gem, the Collector could no longer escape his grasp.

The intensity of the solar radiation and the blazing cosmic flames transformed every single strike into an unstoppable force of destruction.

Tivan's once immaculate robes began to char.

With every impact, another blackened burn mark appeared on his body.

His snow-white hair—an image of his ancient wisdom—was gradually reduced to nothing but ash.

By the time the onslaught reached its peak, Tivan's hair was gone entirely, leaving only a gleaming, reddish bald head.

His usual comical expressions faded into a look of grim determination.

There was no longer any room for joking.

"I hate fighting…"

Tivan muttered, but even he knew that there was no escaping this one.

Ragna was relentless.

The Collector's vast collection—artifacts from across the history of the Marvel Universe—became casualties of the battle.

Desperate, Tivan was forced to weaponize his own treasures, hurling priceless artifacts just to keep Ragna at bay.

And yet—

Nothing stopped the Solar War Body from advancing.

Tivan winced in pain, but his heart ached far more for the loss of his collection.

He had spent eons gathering these priceless relics…

They were as dear to him as life itself.

But he understood one thing—

None of it mattered if he didn't survive.

The Collector's Escape & the Grandmaster's Intervention

Tivan desperately searched for an escape, warping space in ways that would make even Doctor Strange marvel.

The cosmos bent to his will, but Ragna followed the ripples of the spatial distortions—hunting Tivan through the vastness of reality.

The chase led them to the outskirts of Sakaar, where another cosmic force intervened.

"Enough, enough, enough! This is getting completely out of hand!"

The Grandmaster had arrived.

The ancient Elder of the Universe, ruler of Sakaar, and a master of time-warped entertainment, had stepped between them.

His voice was filled with exaggerated drama—

"Two of my best friends, killing each other? My heart simply can't take it!"

The words sounded conciliatory, but Ragna noticed something unsettling.

The Grandmaster's body language suggested he was far more concerned with protecting Tivan than maintaining balance.

It was subtle—

But Ragna caught it.

If the Grandmaster and Tivan joined forces, Ragna's victory was no longer certain.

And worse—

The Elders of the Universe were not just the two of them.

If others—perhaps Ego the Living Planet or the Possessor—arrived to tip the scales, then this battle would no longer be winnable.

A Tactical Retreat

Ragna understood immediately.

This fight could not continue.

So—

He adapted.

With a calm and knowing smile, he lowered his energy levels and nodded.

"You make an excellent point, Grandmaster."

"No need to let a simple dispute between friends escalate into a galactic war."

Seeing that Ragna had withdrawn his Solar War Body, both Grandmaster and Tivan immediately returned to their usual exaggerated expressions.

With over-the-top theatrics, the Grandmaster clapped his hands together, grinning widely.

"Ah, that's what I love to hear! We're all friends here, aren't we?"

He then turned to Tivan, whose once-white hair had been burned away.

For a brief moment, the Grandmaster blinked in disbelief, his lips twitching—

Then, pretending not to notice, he winked.

"Tivan, old buddy, say something, will you?"

Tivan's face twitched in frustration, but he had no choice.

His vast collection had been devastated, but if he continued the fight, he would lose even more.

So—

With a forced grin, he let out a dry chuckle.

"Ahahaha… Well, of course. Friends. Always friends."

Even though, deep down, he hated Ragna to the core at this moment.

But—

Survival came first.

And besides—

If the battle had continued, he wasn't sure how many more of his irreplaceable artifacts would be obliterated before he could defeat Ragna.

For now—

Peace was the best option.

A Deal is Struck

The negotiation was theatrical—

And full of exaggerated gestures and pompous declarations—

But ultimately, Ragna achieved his goal.

• The bounty on the Angels was withdrawn.

• The Infinity Gem's location remained a secret.

• And in exchange for losing part of his collection, Tivan would be left alone.

But Ragna didn't leave empty-handed.

Among Tivan's vaults, there was something unexpected—

A corpse.

Or rather—

Half of a corpse.

The Remnant of the God of War

Ragna's gaze sharpened.

"Tyr."

The Asgardian God of War—once a mighty warrior who fought alongside Odin and Hela in Asgard's ancient conquests.

At his peak, Tyr had wielded the strength of a mid-tier fourth-order deity—a warlord capable of challenging gods and Titans alike.

But then—

He vanished mysteriously.

Shortly after his disappearance, Hela led her infamous coup against Asgard.

And now—

Here he was.

Half of him, anyway.

And worse—

His remains were found in the Void.

Ragna's thoughts raced.

"Why was a God of War abandoned in the darkest reaches of space?"

But there was no time for speculation.

He secured Tyr's remnant and returned to Angel Star.

Even in death, Tyr's body still contained powerful divine energy—a resource that could reshape the fate of a warrior.

A New God of War

He entrusted the remains to Valina, a third-tier Aesir warrior who had no hope of advancing on her own.

She absorbed Tyr's divine essence, but her power fell just short of ascending to fourth-tier divinity.

It wasn't enough.

So Ragna intervened personally—

Channeling the sacred energy of the Reincarnation Pool, he sacrificed vast amounts of faith energy to force her evolution.

And in that moment—

Valina broke through.

She was now the weakest fourth-tier god—

But in time—

She could become Tyr's successor.

As the cosmos settled and Ragna prepared for the next phase of his plans, the entire universe trembled at the events that had transpired.

Because—

The God of War had returned.
