Marvel Ace

Chapter 6: The Eye in The Sky

"The engine and the formula are still missing. And the Mask Marauder is still not revealing the name of the person who bought it from him." Matt Murdock said as he looked at the documents in his office.

He was saying all those things alone because he was alone since his assistant and his best friend were out.

"But still it's great that the misunderstanding about daredevil is gone. Curse the masked marauder and his unknown accomplice." He said.

"I swear I will catch both of you in the name of justice and the Daredevil." He claimed.

Unknown to Ace, he has been determined as a disciple villain by Daredevil without Ace himself not wanting to be a fully fledged Criminal.

---------------------------

At that time.

"Phew. I wonder if this thing would even work." Ace said as he held up a small prototype of the satellite.

It would cost him millions of money if his project failed so he prepared a prototype version that did not cost as much money or resources before trying to build the real thing.

He picked up the small prototype that he built and walked towards the nearby window.

"I hope this works." He said as he toggled the switch and carefully lifted the minisatellite.

It flew into the air.

As Ace watched it entered a layer of space where the air itself started to be extremely cold using binoculars.

But he still can't deem the prototype a success just because it was able to float in that area.

To be considered a success it needs to do three things.

Stay in the air for a few hours, stream a video of the things happening on Earth directly to Ace's computer and allow it to control the movement of the prototype by the use of Ace's Computer.

To accomplish this Ace has to read books about drones, cameras that are used for filming and articles about space projects.

Ace waited for a while as he observed his personal computer.

It was a bulky very heavy computer since slimmer laptops still had not been invented at that time.

"It seems to be working," Ace said.

He then tried to move around the minisatellite.

"It's been five minutes. But it still is in the air."

He was really happy about the results.

This was already his third try as he failed his first two tests.

The first time the mini satellite dropped down to the ground after reaching a certain height because it could not handle the colder atmosphere so he had to try again by implementing a heating system inside the device.

The second time it has the opposite problem. The mini satellite exploded because there was too much heat.

So he had to adjust. By using both a heating system and a cooling system that automatically activates after the temperature reaches a certain limit alongside each other his prototype finally succeeded.

"Thank god I did not slack off during my science classes and projects," Ace said.

Ace attended Yale University before he joined Shield so even if he does not get a brain boost from his mutant powers he would have been able to make the mini satellite that he was making right now.

Although it would have taken him decades and a lot more resources.

"There is .... Wait. Is that the Daredevil?" Ace said as the minisatellite captured Matt Murdock who was changing into his Daredevil costume in an alleyway.

The mini satellite was too high up in the sky so Daredevil was unable to detect it in time while he was changing into his civilian costume from his Superhero costume.

It was dark and the camera did not have a night vision so Ace was not able to see his face.

It also did not help that Ace cut corners for the prototype as it was still a prototype and used a cheap camera so the framerate is also very terrible and the video is blurry.

If not for Daredevil's costume being fully red he would not have been able to tell that it was him.

"That face. I have to remember that face." Ace said as he pressed a button on his pc that would have taken the photo of Daredevil's identity.

But at that moment the mini satellite ran out of energy as it fell to the ground.

Smashing itself to bits.

"Damn it," Ace said as he slammed his desk.

He would have been able to do so much if he had been able to take that picture at that time.

Daredevil and Spiderman received heavy criticism from the public and media because they failed to stop the engine and the formula from being stolen at that time.

If Ace was able to reveal to Daredevil that he knows about his identity it might would have been possible to force him to retire his mantle.

Ace wanted to make him quit his hero job because he knew Daredevil would get in the way of his chance to become rich and powerful.

"And I was not even able to take a good look at his face because of that stupid sunglasses. Why are you wearing them all the time? Are you fucking blind?" Ace vented.

"Fine. I will find out your identity later. It's not like we are going to meet during these days." Ace said as he got up.

He can't stay mad for long.

He has to finish the project that he was working on first.

He has only succeeded in building the prototype.

When building the real thing he has to even do more complex tasks.

But he is not worried.

He was sure that his healing powers, the engine and the fuel formula that he stole, the research that he did and the remaining money that was at his disposal would allow him to accomplish his task.

----------------------------

At that time an alien named Mar-Vell has arrived on Earth, with a mighty starship that has traversed half of the universe from the Galaxy ruled by a mysterious alien race, called Kree.

Unknown to every Super Heros, Villains, and normal people, a War between two powerful alien races is slowly but surely approaching.

And it seems like the little blue planet is going to be their battlefield.
