Martial Peak: Life Simulator

Chapter 14: Chapter 14: A Little Experiment

Yan Xiu's eyes widened as the golden words shimmered before him.

"Yes, it worked!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with triumph.

Without hesitation, he reached out and touched the glowing text of "Flowing Sword Art." The moment his fingers made contact, a surge of energy coursed through his mind. It was as if a floodgate had opened, allowing an unstoppable stream of knowledge to rush into him.

Every intricate detail of the Flowing Sword Art imprinted itself in his consciousness. He could visualize it all—the fluid yet forceful sword movements, each one mirroring the ever-changing currents of a mighty river. The way Water Qi intertwined with his muscles, enhancing every strike with relentless momentum.

His understanding deepened further as he sensed the resonance between the Flowing Sword Art and the Flowing Tide Secret Art. The synergy was undeniable. Every movement in the sword technique naturally harmonized with the secret art's energy circulation, strengthening his attacks beyond their base potential.

Yan Xiu took a deep breath, his grip tightening as he felt his comprehension solidify. This wasn't just an ordinary martial skill—this was an extension of himself, refined through persistence.

"So I was right... This Life Simulator can only recreate things exactly as I obtained them in the simulation..."

His brows furrowed as he pondered the implications. "I wonder how this thing works... Simulating my life and then letting me bring only one thing back... Why can't I bring everything back with me?"

The thought nagged at him, an itch in the back of his mind. There had to be a reason—something beyond his current understanding. Then, all of a sudden, it struck him like a bolt of lightning.

"Does..." His breath hitched. "Does this Life Simulator use this strange Temporal Energy to recreate things as they appeared in a future time?"

The pieces were starting to fit together. It wasn't simply selecting a reward from thin air; it was drawing upon the energy of time itself to manifest what he had already experienced.

"Then... shouldn't I be able to recreate more things from the simulation by using more Temporal Energy?"

Excitement surged through his veins. If that was the case, then his growth wasn't limited to a single choice per simulation. There was a possibility—perhaps even a certainty—that by using more Temporal Energy, he could retrieve multiple rewards from a single run.

Yan Xiu clenched his fists, his thoughts racing. "This changes everything."

An idea suddenly hit him. "Okay, let's quickly try something out."

A grin spread across his face. "It's gonna cost a bit, but if this 'little experiment' of mine is successful, I'll be able to maximize this power to the fullest."

"Life Simulator, simulate me copying down as much martial skills from the Martial Library of the High Heaven Pavilion as possible in one month's time."

[Simulating certain actions will require triple the amount of Temporal Energy. Would you like to proceed anyway?]

"Yes!" Yan Xiu said without hesitation.

[You have 51 Years of Life Simulation Time…]

[Simulation Initiating…]

[Simulating Life: Yan Xiu]

[Cultivation: 1st Initial Element Stage]

[Status: Ordinary Disciple of High Heaven Pavilion]

[Martial Skill: Stone Armor Art, Flowing Sword Art]

[Secret Art: Flowing Tide Technique]

[Special Physique: Purified Body]

Yan Xiu let out a deep sigh at the sight of his status. "I still forgot to check what this Purified Body is… I promise I'll check it immediately after this experiment."

As the simulation commenced, Yan Xiu's simulated self wasted no time.

[Week 1: Yan Xiu sought permission from the Great Elder to enter the Earth Floor of the Martial Library, hoping to gain access to Earth-grade techniques. Unfortunately, his request was denied outright—without sufficient merit or contribution, he was unqualified to even step foot there.

Left with no choice, he entered the Ordinary Floor instead. He was only allowed one hour of study per day, but he refused to let that limit slow him down. With sharp focus, he rapidly scanned through various martial skill manuals, committing them to memory before transcribing them onto paper later.

After a week of relentless effort, he successfully copied down four Low Ordinary martial skills:

Iron Palm Strike – A powerful palm technique that focuses on exerting raw force.

Rock Breaker Fist – A straightforward but sturdy punching art, meant to shatter obstacles.

Piercing Wind Finger – A swift, pinpoint technique utilizing Wind Qi to enhance thrusting power.

Flowing Step – A footwork technique that enhances agility, allowing smoother movement in battle.]

[Week 2: Yan Xiu persisted in his task, optimizing his hour in the library with unwavering determination. By the end of the second week, he had added three more techniques to his growing collection:

Howling Claw – A claw-based technique designed to tear through defenses with sharp, precise strikes.

Gale Kick – A technique that incorporates spinning kick that generate powerful gusts.

Mountain Crushing Palm – A Middle Ordinary martial skill that concentrates immense force into a single palm strike, creating shockwave-like impact upon landing.]

[Week 3: By the third week, Yan Xiu's efficiency improved. He became faster at identifying useful techniques and more adept at copying them accurately. His simulated self successfully transcribed three Middle Ordinary martial skills:

Triple Wave Fist – A technique that delivers three consecutive shockwave-infused punches, overwhelming opponents with sheer force.

Serpent Fang Thrust – A spear-like thrusting technique utilizing sharp, precise strikes, much like a snake's venomous bite.

Soaring Sparrow Steps – An advanced movement technique designed for light-footed agility, enabling quick evasions and rapid repositioning in combat.]

[Week 4: Pushing himself harder than ever, Yan Xiu dedicated every moment to his training. His simulated self spent every waking second reviewing, memorizing, and transcribing martial skills. His relentless effort paid off, as he managed to copy down two Top Ordinary martial skills before the month concluded:

Earth Splitting Palm – A devastating palm technique that channels energy into the ground, causing ruptures and unbalancing enemies.

Bursting Qi Strike – A martial skill that condenses Qi into a single explosive strike, generating a forceful impact capable of breaking through defenses.]

[Simulation Ended.]

[Life Simulation Time remaining: 50.7 years]

[Rewards:

1. Bursting Qi Strike

2. Triple Wave Fist

3. Howling Claw]
