Martial Peak: Chaos Dragon Emperor

It was a few days after they had left Li Rui's place that they reached their next destination. Which again belonged to one of Meng Wu Ya's friends. Yang Feng looked at the name of the place with a deadpan expression. 'old man. You really know how to choose places to visit don't you.'

This particular place was also a part of the original timeline and could be said to be the most important place in all of Tong Xuan Realm because it served as Yang Kai's stronghold. {I am not saying this according to opertunities.}

"Nine Heaven Holy Land?"

Su Yan looked at Meng Wu Ya questioningly. Meng Wu Ya answered, "this is one of the strongest factions in the world, as it has been since it's creation. Alas *sigh*, nothing comes freely... Let's go inside."

The four entered the city that was built around the Palace of the Nine Heaven Holy Land and under Meng Wu Ya's guidance they reached the stairs leading to the palace. As they climbed the stairs, Yang Feng thought to himself about something that has been on his mind for sometime now.

'Actually, it's good that we came here. Now I can gain the information that I need and start taking the opertunities in Tong Xuan Realm before leaving for the Starry Sky...', as Yang Feng thought to himself, the four reached the top where Meng Wu Ya showed a token to the guard.

The guard after seeing the token went wide-eyed and respectfully let them enter before guiding them to a hall room. After a few minutes, two individuals entered the hall, side by side.

One was a middle-aged women that excluded a pure and mature aura, whom Yang Feng recognized as the tragic Saintess Nan. The other was an old man, who looked to be around old man Li Rui's age, but Yang Feng knew that wasn't the case.

The old man might be many times younger than Li Rui and Meng Wu Ya. His current situation was because of the particular technique of the Nine Heaven Holy Land that lets the user gain immense growth in exchange of it's user's life force.

The old man obviously was the master of the Holy Land, who had died without even appearing in the original timeline. The old man looked at Meng Wu Ya with a shocked and happy face, "It really is you, brother Meng. Hahaha, at first I thought that I was mistaken."

Meng Wu Ya also smiled at the old man and returned his greeting, while also exchanging greetings with Saintess Nan. Meng Wu Ya then looked back at the old man with sad eyes and asked, "*sighhh* how long?"

Hearing his words, Saintess Nan's body trembled lightly as her demeanor changed from happiness into sadness. The old man, Shen Bo {made this up} as Meng Wu Ya called him, just smiled slightly before saying, "not long. Maybe 3 or 4 years."

Meng Wu Ya sighed again before Shen Bo changed the subject and asked him to introduce his company, aka Yang Feng and his wives.

Meng Wu Ya then introduced the three, nothing too flashy, just their names and who they were. When Meng Wu Ya introduced Yang Feng to Shen Bo, Shen Bo's gaze stayed on Yang Feng for a moment before he seems to leave that thought with a shake of his head.

As the old people talked, the youths sat and listened to their tales while drinking tea. After some time, Yang Feng cleared his throat to gain the three's attention. When he got the attention, he looked at Shen Bo and spoke, "Holy Lord, I would like to inquire of you about something."

Meng Wu Ya looked at him confusedly along with the two girls. Shen Bo observed this and said, "oh, no need to be so polite nephew Feng! If it's something I am capable of answering, I will definitely help you."

Yang Feng revealed a smiled and said with a small shake of his head, "It's nothing too major. I just want to ask of you about the whereabouts of Dragon Phoenix Pavilion."

Everyone was confused for a moment, wondering why Yang Feng was asking about that place. Su Yan seemed to have thought of something that Yang Feng had told her about sometime ago and understood his intentions.

She also looked at Shen Bo, who after a moment told him about the location. Yang Feng thanked him before sitting quietly. After two-three hours of talking, Meng Wu Ya and Shen Bo finally finished and Shen Bo told Meng Wu Ya to stay for some days, to which Meng Wu Ya agreed.

After reaching their assigned rooms, Yang Feng and his group met in his room. Meng Wu Ya looked at him and asked, "what was that all about?"

Yang Feng told him that it was a personal matter. He then told Meng Wu Ya and Xia Ning Chang, "me and Su Yan will have to part ways with you guys here, for now. I don't know how long we will be gone, but it would likely be more than a year."

Meng Wu Ya raised an eyebrow at this but didn't say anything. Xia Ning Chang looked significantly surprised as her eyes widened and she looked at Yang Feng with somewhat pleading eyes.

Yang Feng looked at her with tender eyes and raised his hand to pet her on the head, "I know you want to come with us, but it would be better for you to remain with old Meng as Me and Su Yan will be in secultion for all that time. *Chuckle* So you better start picking up your pace or you're cultivation be left behind."

Xia Ning Chang although reluctant, nodded her head. At the same time, her resolve to train more hardened. Since coming to Tong Xuan Realm, the three hadn't really cultivated as hard as they did in the lower realm, but looks like this time of laid back approach was coming to an end.

After that Meng Wu Ya retreated to his room, leaving the three youths alone. Yang Feng looked at the still slightly sulking form of Xia Ning Chang, who tried to hide it but couldn't hide it from the two (him and Su Yan.)

He looked at Su Yan with a weary smile before he hugged Xia Ning Chang and started to slowly coax her again, until they decided to sleep.

The next day, Yang Feng and Su Yan left the Holy Land and flew towards the location of Dragon Phoenix Pavilion. After two days of flying, the two reached near the Pavilion.

Yang Feng then stopped near the sect's ground while he and Su Yan hid their auras to avoid detection. After making sure that they were not discovered, he extended his Divine Sense and Spiral Senses into the sect, which went unnoticed, to discover the ancestral grounds of the sect.

This was a feature he had discovered in the last few months. He could meld his Divine Sense with his Spiral Sensing Technique to make it more evasive, not only from people but also from arrays and other defenses, and difficult to detect. Along with his strong Spiritual Energy that could rival a Saint, no one in this 2nd Class Sect could detect him.

After a few minutes, Yang Feng opened his eyes with a grin on his face. He looked at Su Yan who was looking at him inquiringly, he answered, "found it, let's go."

Su Yan then saw as Yang Feng 'grabbed' the 'Space' in front of him and pulled it apart. She saw as the 'Space' started to stretch and slowly tear apart as Yang Feng pulled on it. Although she had seen Yang Feng train this ability of his, No matter how many times she saw it, it always amazed her.

After Yang Feng was finished, a wormhole had formed in front of them. He turned and grabbed onto Su Yan and went into the wormhole.

On the other side of the wormhole, Yang Feng and Su Yan appeared in the 'Void Space' as Yang Feng called it, the two instantly felt the violent and chaotic energy in their surroundings.

Yang Feng then calmly guided Su Yan and after a few minutes of traveling, Yang Feng stopped and again teared the space in front of him and the two exited the Void Space.

When they again exited the portal, what appeared in front of them was a clear lake. As soon as Su Yan exited the portal, she felt a sudden agitation in her Qi and felt as if something very important to her was here.

The next moment, she heard Yang Feng's voice, "train here with ease of mind, no one will disturb you. I have to go to the mountain range of the ancestral grounds.", but as she turned her head to look at him, he was already gone.

She slowly shook her head and went towards the lake. Just as she neared the lake, the surroundings temperature went ice cold and with a surge of aura something jumped out of the lake.

Su Yan looked at the familiar looking Phoenix Phantom that had appeared in front of him and instantly felt a connection to it. She was too engrossed in that familiar feeling that she failed to notice a barrier isolate the surroundings of the lake from the outside world.

After leaving Su Yan at the lake, Yang Feng arrived at the mountain range he knew the dragon emperor inheritance was located. He wasn't worried about Su Yan as he knew that as long as she went near the lake, that lake will be isolated from the outside world till she wanted to leave and had completely absorbed the Phoenix Empress Inheritance.

When Yang Feng arrived at the mountain ranges. He too felt the same feeling of restlessness from his Qi, Su Yan had felt at the lake. He followed that feeling and went towards the top of the mountain range.

As he reached the top, he saw a shimmering Golden Dragon Phantom, eeriely similar to the dragon phantom of his 'Dragon Fist Technique', appear from the clouds above. The dragon looked at him with it's massive eyes as if evaluating him before it let out a earth shaking roar and flashing towards him.

Yang Feng noted that as the dragon roared, a barrier appeared around the mountain that isolated him from the outside world. The next moment, the dragon was upon him and instead of crashing into him, the phantom entered his body.

Instantly, Yang Feng felt a violent and potent rush of Qi into his dantian and body. He immediately sat down on the ground cross-legged and started to operate his 'Primordial Dragon Phoenix Unity Art'.

The results were presented in the next moment as he felt the violent Qi calm down slightly as it flowed through his body in a particular pattern.

While Yang Feng and Su Yan were inheriting the complete inheritance of the Dragon Emperor and Phoenix Empress, they didn't know what chaos their action had aroused from the people outside.

.... Or they did, but didn't care.

As soon as the barrier in the ancestral grounds on the lake of the Phoenix Empress was activated, the entire upper section of the palace alerted and started to look for who had gotten the inheritance.

But soon, their expressions changed when they found out that no one was currently undergoing the test for the inheritance.

In the next moment, just as they were seriously discussing on what to do, they all turned their heads to the mountain range in the ancestral grounds.

There they saw a giant golden dragon roaring into the sky before diving down towards the mountains. At the same time, a barrier similar to the Phoenix Nest (the lake where Phoenix Empress Inheritance was) appeared around the entire mountain range.

The faces of everyone present turned uglier when one of the elder shouted, "what in the name of Heavens in happening!!?"
